I recently wanted to start tutoring to earn some money. I got an 800 on the math section of the recent August 2026 SAT and have some experience tutoring on schoolhouse.world. I was just wondering what the best price would be for SAT math tutoring based on my background. I mainly want the learner to bring in questions or at least a topic they want to work on and then we work on problems together instead of a set curriculum, just for reference. I'd also prefer to work with people who are in the 600-750 range but flexible with that.

Hi, I was considering doing USACO this year with the goal being gold by the end of this season. I have some experience with coding in like Java and Python but not really any competitive programming experience. I wanted to ask how many hours ish do you all think I need to dedicate to get gold. I know you cannot estimate arbitrarily like this but just a rough estimate so that I know if it's worth my time or not.

Would anyone be interested in creating something with me for the congressional app challenge? I want to participate, but my district unfortunately did not register and I emailed my representative but they didn't respond. Please DM or comment if interested

I'm a junior currently and I am interested in doing ISEF this year hopefully. I am interested in AI/ML and pretty up-to-date on current literature (especially things like mechanistic interpretability and activation steering) as I'm currently working on a seperate research project rn. If anyone has any tips pls pls comment or DM me I would appreciate it so much especially if u placed highly at ISEF previously.

Some questions I had:

• How are theoretical AI projects weighed against applied AI projects or theoretical vs applied projects in general?
• How much does securing a mentor help/is it worth it?
• If I started in the beginning of November (considering I know a decent amount about current literature) would it be realistic for me to finish around end of January to the beginning of February considering thats when the deadline for my state fair submissions are?
• Based on the above do you think I could realistically get to ISEF if I lock in or should I spend my time somewhere else?
• Is there a big difference between academic research like publications to conferences/journals vs ISEF research and if so what is the difference?
• Any other tips or pieces of advice you have for me?

I swear on everything that some questions on the August SAT were the EXACT same as those from the previous year's PSAT. Like, I remember the lullaby question specifically from last year's PSAT and maybe a few more that felt familiar I'm not sure. Does anyone feel the same way or remember others?
