I picked up a parcel from the Post Office and nagpakain na din.
Hirap sila maghanap ng food dahil sa ulan. It also saddens me na maraming unfixed strays around the PVO. 😔

Hello, everyone!
Because of the monsoon season and their delicate condition, we have decided to foster Señora and Zen for a longer period. However, our resources are fully stretched caring for the rescues currently under our care.
We are humbly asking for your support for their needs:
Wet Food - Php 1130 or $24
Kibbles - Php 1000 or $17
Litter Sand - Php 368 or $6
Spot on Treatment - Php 1109 or $18
Should you wish to make a contribution, you may send to PayPal
On behalf of these beautiful cats, thank you so much! 🐾
Fundraisings are still on hold except for rescues, emergency cases and TNVR efforts.
We also like to remind everyone that we have a minimum comment karma requirement to deter karma farmers.

🐈⬛ Under the Animal Welfare Act, only the LGU thru the City or Municipal Vet Office can round up and impound strays.
Janitors and security guards are not allowed to catch community animals. Only trained and deputized personnel by the CVO/MVO should handle the humane catching of stray animals.
They can’t put rounded up cats and dogs in a holding facility unless it’s registered under the BAI.
🐈⬛ The ALAGA Bill will hopefully prevent the impounding of spayed community animals.
From Miss Martha of Kapon Ampon
🐈⬛ Befriend the gatekeepers - security guards, maintenance staff and even delivery riders. They hold vital information in the community especially in a condo setting.
🐈⬛ If you enter an agreement with the decision-makers (PMO and the likes), always formalize it thru contracts or MOAs.
🐈⬛ Cruelty thrives in anonymity. NAME YOUR CATS.
🐈⬛ Branding is important. Developers want to avoid negative publicity.
🐈⬛ You are your cat’s PR person. Present yourself well.

🐈⬛ Their vet office was able to successfully build a relationship with community groups in their area.
🐈⬛ They have regular free kapon and adoption events thru the help of local malls.
From out break out session about handling LGU and barangay concerns:
🐈⬛ Many barangay officials are not well-informed about the Animal Welfare Act.
🐈⬛ The system for impounding and reclaiming animals needs a lot of work.
🐈⬛ The CVO/MVO can’t enter private properties.
Suggestions:
🐾 Pounds should be audited.
🐾 The CVO/MVO can only do so much. Write to your MAYOR thru the CVO/MVO and have a receiving copy.
And finally, from Miss Rina Ortiz from Biyaya
🐈⬛ You are not alone. There’s a community that can support you.
🐈⬛ You are not alone. That means there are others who also do the work. This is not a contest.
Animal welfare is human welfare.
Just got home from CatCon. Will read and respond to messages tomorrow. 🐾
We’ve received an influx of requests recently and to be honest, it’s been overwhelming.
This community is primarily a space for sharing photos that brighten our days during difficult times.
For now, we are pausing fundraising efforts, except for emergency rescues and treatments. This ensures each appeal receives meaningful engagement and helps prevent donor fatigue.
Thank you for your understanding and continued support.
Señora is steadily gaining weight since she was brought to the vet on April 19. From 1.5kgs, she is now 2.1. Tomorrow is her final deworming. The goal is to have her ready for adoption. 👏
Zen is scheduled for stitch removal tomorrow. We’re still waiting for the result of her biopsy. Please send positive thoughts her way. 🙏
We’re raising funds for the following:
Deworming - ₱300 or $5
Wet Food - ₱970 or $16
Litter Sand - ₱435 or $7

It’s been three weeks since Mama Cat was first reported here.
She underwent surgery on June 21 and is scheduled to return to the vet on July 8 for stitch removal. We’re still waiting for the results of her biopsy.
I’ve been in touch with the pharmacy staff and they are really grateful to everyone who has helped Mama Cat. Along the way, I also learned about her heartbreak. 😔
The plan is to bring her back to the pharmacy where she is regularly fed. But it would be wonderful if she could find a furever family to take her in. A safe home where she can heal.
If you or someone you know can open your heart and home to a 5.3kg sweetheart, please consider adopting her. She’s ready for a second chance at life filled with love.
I mean, look at that face! 😍

Zen was discharged on June 24, 3 days after her surgery. She has a good appetite and sleeps a lot. In the 3rd photo, you can see 2 incision sites - 1 for tumor removal and 1 for spay procedure.
Her caretakers have been updated about her condition.
We appreciate everyone who extended help for Zen. 👏👏👏
Her total bill came to ₱24,145 or $405. We raised ₱14,405 or $234.
Bonus Photo: Señora had her 3rd deworming.
We are still awaiting the results of Zen’s biopsy. Please send positive thoughts her way. ✨✨✨

Good news! After her blood work on Sunday morning, Zen immediately underwent surgery. Samples were taken for biopsy too. 🙏
(We named her Zen after the pharmacy.)
Her attending vet advised us to confine her for 3-5 days. Will visit her tomorrow and check if pwede mapaaga para hindi rin magpile up ang bills.
The clinic is giving us constant updates through Viber. May discomfort siya because of the two incision sites but otherwise, kalmado lang.
Siguro naninibago din siya kasi 2 hours din ang biyahe niya then clinic soon after.
I also included the estimate given by the first clinic and her running bill to show the difference in pricing.
Please consider helping this mama cat. Kapon na din pala siya. 🤘

I’d like to thank LC, MB, AH, NO, YC and JS for their contributions.
We are still in need of help for Zen’s confinement and take home medication.
$20 per day x 5 days

My heartfelt thanks to the mods and everyone who supports the appeals in the sub. Your compassion means a lot to us. 🐾
Hello, everyone!
Mama Cat was first reported last week for suspected poisoning. Thanks to the contribution of sub members, she was seen by a vet.
https://www.reddit.com/r/catsofrph/s/CNb5msN4ql
The vet found a mammary tumor that’s already infected. Urgent surgery was advised. We asked around and looked for a rescuer to take her in. Sadly, our rescuers are dealing with other cases.
Now, Mama Cat is traveling 50 kilometers via pet transport to undergo surgery and fostering.
We are reaching out in the hope that you might consider helping this cat.
Your contribution will go to the following:
$14 CBC
$40 Comprehensive Blood Chemistry
$138 Tumor Removal
$72 Spay-Abort
$46 Gas Anes
$11 IV Fluids
$42 Biopsy
$20-24 per day Confinement
Should you wish to contribute, you may send it to Paypal
Thank you very much! 🙏

A sub member reported this username because of the familiar looking photos. Upon checking, they posted in the sub with the same photos of a sick cat in March. I reported to the mods of the other local pet subs. Their posts have been deleted and even the comment history.
Please be vigilant.

The vetting process is currently being recalibrated.
Because of this, fundraisings are limited to emergency veterinary visits and the rescue of sick or injured community cats.
Appeals will be scheduled according to urgency.
Please remember to send modmail before posting. If you come across fundraising posts without verification, kindly encourage the OP to contact the moderators first.
Sending money to strangers carries risks and we do our best to verify each case to ensure donations go to legitimate needs.
This sub was created to share cute photos of pets and community cats. We aim to keep the space light and positive, a little escape from the darker realities of everyday life. And really, who couldn’t use a toe bean or belly pic now and then?
That said, we can’t look the other way when others ask for help.
We’ve received many requests lately and as much as we’d love to help everyone, we have to prioritize based on urgency. Our rescuers here in the sub also need all the support they can get.
Here are the active fundraisings as of today, June 18, 2026.

Hello, everyone.
We had to take Señora to the vet earlier after noticing her straining in her litter box. The vet suggested an x-ray after a physical exam.
Her x-ray showed impacted stool and the vet had to perform an enema to help relieve her constipation.
The vet explained that because of her age, Señora is prone to this condition.
We need to be extra careful from now on. This can apparently result to megacolon or rectal prolapse. 🥺
The vet prescribed medicine to help her digestion. She also needs to come back on June 12 for bloodwork. A CBC will determine if there are any underlying issues.
This appeal is for the following:
CBC - $14
Meds - $16 (still have Probiotics)
X-ray/Enema- $33
We settled the vet bill with our emergency fund. It would be good to rebuild it, just in case another emergency comes up.
If you would like to contribute to Señora’s medical funds, you may send to Paypal
Thank you so much and we always appreciate your kindness. 🙏

UPDATE: Almost there! Please help us close our funding gap of $15.
Thank you FG and JRO for your contribution. And IZ too. 🐾
UPDATE: FUNDRAISING IS NOW CLOSED.
Thank you so much to everyone who boosted and contributed to our appeal. 🙏
Got busy with dog rescue but this guy caught my eye.
He’s one of the cats in the public market and seems to be suffering from mange.
Would anyone contribute for his spot on treatment? This is a very common condition among stray cats here. 🥺
A box costs 21.5 dollars. Need some extra pipettes for other market cats (1 box = 3 pipettes).
Bonus: I was able to administer spot on treatment to the black and white cat I posted before. Yay!
If you are considering to help, you may send it here.
Thank you so much!
She was deemed worthless by a reckless driver.
But Claudine mattered.
To her caretakers, to me and to everyone who prayed for her recovery and contributed to her appeal.
We were able to give her a dignified goodbye thanks to you.
May we drive with a little more caution from now on. Watch out for beings who are just trying to survive day by day.
Ang sakit, Claudine. Yakap yakap pa kita sa tricycle from the vet.
Nakakamiss din pala makita ang Baliwag dito.
Nong college, sasakay ako ng bus sa 5th Ave then ang baba sa gilid ng munisipyo.
