Well. That was certainly a rabbit hole.

I first heard about this subreddit through r/AmITheDevil, and judging by the number of other people suddenly appearing here, I’m very clearly not the only one who got curious enough to come look for myself.
There’s something genuinely fascinating about seeing a community described from the outside and then actually reading through the posts and comments firsthand. I had assumptions going in, but I don’t think anything quite prepares you for the particular atmosphere of a subreddit until you spend a little time inside it.
I’m deliberately not going to make sweeping statements about anyone here, because obviously every situation is different and the stated purpose of the sub is what it is. But some of what I’ve read has certainly left an impression. A very strong one. The sort where you close Reddit for a minute, stare at the wall, and reconsider whether curiosity was actually a virtue.
Anyway, hello to everyone else who wandered over from r/AmITheDevil. Apparently there are quite a few of us discovering this corner of Reddit at the same time.
