Smart bulbs will not connect and I think my mesh router is the problem

The app finds the bulb, gets most of the way through setup and then times out every single time. My router broadcasts one combined network name for both bands and I am starting to think that is what is breaking it. I would rather not split the bands permanently because everything else works fine. Has anyone gotten around this without tearing the network apart?

Anyone else find most tunable white bulbs do not go warm enough at the bottom end?

I run a wind-down scene at night and 2700K still reads as office lighting to me. I want something closer to a candle for the last hour before bed and most bulbs simply stop at 2200K. Half the specs pages do not even publish the bottom of the range. Has anyone found bulbs that genuinely go down into candle territory, and does it hold that color when dimmed?

What’s the better route for a business clearing out a lot of old computers?

I’m interested in how people here typically handle this when it goes beyond just a few personal devices. Say an office has laptops, desktops, servers and network equipment from several upgrade cycles. Some of it probably still works, while some is legitimately end of life. Would you start with a local electronics recycler, donate whatever is usable, or have an ITAD company evaluate the whole lot first? Exittechnologies caught my attention because they handle resale/value recovery as well as recycling, which seems less wasteful than automatically treating everything as e-waste. But I’m curious what other routes people have had good results with.

Main goal would be keeping usable hardware in circulation where possible without making disposal a huge project.

Are there any prepared meal delivery services that offer high-protein meals to help reach 150g a day?

i’m trying to find a prepared meal delivery service that makes it easier to hit around 150g of protein a day.

ideally i’d want meals in the 35 to 50g protein range without everything being super high calorie or basically just chicken, rice, and broccoli over and over.

i’ve been looking at factor, cookunity, trifecta, and a few others, but it’s hard to tell which ones actually have a solid amount of high protein options every week.

for anyone who’s tried them, which service did you like best? were the portions filling? was it easy to find meals under 600 calories with 40g+ protein?

taste and variety matter too since i’d probably be eating these pretty often

Gel vs spray mold remover which actually works better

Seeing two types mostly, gel ones that stick to the surface and spray bottles. Not sure if one is actually better or if its just marketing. Anyone tried both and have a preference?

Refinish old hardwood or replace with carpet before selling?

I’m getting my house ready to list, and I’m stuck on what to do with the floors.

The living room and hallway have original hardwood, but they’re pretty worn. Lots of scratches, dull spots, and general age. They do not look charming right now, just tired. I keep going back and forth between refinishing them or putting in mid-range carpet so the house feels cleaner and more move-in ready.

Refinishing sounds like the better long-term choice, but I’m short on time and not sure I’d actually get the money back when selling. Carpet would probably be faster and cheaper, but I also worry buyers might see it as covering up the hardwood or assume there’s a problem underneath. I’ve gotten a couple opinions and quotes so far, including one through 50 Floor friend, mostly to compare timelines and see what would be realistic before listing. That helped me think more about not over-improving right before a sale, since the next owner may want different flooring anyway.

For anyone who has sold a house with worn hardwood, what did you do? Did refinishing make a noticeable difference with buyers, or was fresh carpet enough? I’d especially like to hear from people who were trying to sell on a tight timeline.

Do washable rug brands actually offer more than 5-6 patterns, or is selection always this limited?

Im tired of seeing the same old patterns with washable rugs. Has anyone seen any brands with cool patterns or at least not so limited?

Which exterior maintenance actually prevents the expensive stuff?

I keep reading generic checklists that say clean your gutters and trim your trees. I get it. What I want to know is which of these chores actually prevent the four- and five-figure repairs down the line. I have maybe one weekend a month for house stuff, and I’d rather spend it on the tasks with consequences. What’s earned its keep for you?

[Help] Authorized Service Center booted my wet phone without cleaning it first, now quoting ₹16k+ for a full motherboard + display swap. Is chip-level repair or data recovery still possible?

Hey everyone, I need some urgent advice from technicians or anyone who has experience with water-damage motherboard repairs.

**The Timeline & Hardware State:**

* Yesterday, rainwater/moisture got inside my 2-year-old out-of-warranty phone.

* The CPU and display IC were still alive because it rendered a clean, ungarbled charging symbol initially, but it soon started flashing green due to moisture bridging the AMOLED display flex connector.

* I immediately disconnected power, ejected the SIM tray to create airflow, and left it face-down under a ceiling fan overnight to let liquid evaporate safely without applying heat.

**What the Authorized Service Center Did Today:**

* I took it to the official service center this morning. I explicitly instructed them **not to apply power** and requested ONLY an ultrasonic isopropyl alcohol (IPA) bath and flex connector cleaning to remove the mineral corrosion.

* Instead of cleaning it, they called admitting they **attempted to boot the device without washing the logic board**, saw the display flashing (which I warned them about), and just submitted it for a module replacement quote.

* They just called back claiming the **Display, Motherboard, and bottom charging sub-board all need replacement**, quoting me roughly ₹15,000–₹18,000+ (which exceeds the current market value of the phone itself).

**My Questions for the Community:**

  1. Is this just standard authorized service center "module-swapping" because their corporate rules don't allow actual component-level soldering/cleaning?

  2. My primary goal right now is **recovering my internal data (UFS storage)**, and ideally getting a localized repair. If I reject their quote, pay the ₹300 consultation fee, and take it immediately to a reputable local third-party microsoldering / chip-level repair lab, what are the realistic odds they can clear the short or bypass the power rail to extract my data for under ₹1,500–₹2,000?

  3. What specific questions or instructions should I give the local chip-level technician when I walk in so they prioritize saving my logic board/data over trying to sell me replacement parts?

Would super appreciate any quick insights from people who know chip-level diagnostics—I'm heading over to withdraw the phone from the official center shortly!
