MLB Pipeline Latest Farm Ranking (Giants #5)
Top 100 prospects: Josuar Gonzalez, SS/2B (No. 17), Luis Hernández, SS/3B (No. 27); Jackson Flora, RHP (No. 31): Jhonny Level, SS/2B (No. 47); Ramon Marquez, RHP (No. 100)
Since we started rating systems in 2015, the Giants' previous high point was No. 8 in mid-2021. Their 14-spot jump from our previous rankings is one shy of the best ever, and no organization has made as dramatic a move in so short a time as San Francisco improving from No. 28 in the 2025 preseason to No. 5 now. Coming into the year, their system stood out for its collection of hitters: international shortstop standouts (Gonzalez, Hernández and Level), first-round picks (since-graduated Bryce Eldridge, middle infielder Gavin Kilen), over-slot signings (Dakota Jordan) and a nondrafted free agent find (Bo Davidson). Now their balance is impressive after they spent $14.6 million on three Draft arms (Flora, Carson Bolemon, Kaden Waechter), dealt for Marquez, Henry Lalane and Miguel Mendez in July and have past trade acquisition Jacob Bresnahan continuing to perform.
Random thought. Still can't believe the Redsox gave up on Marcelo Mayer this fast
Not saying he was a steal and will now turn into this big stud. He was basically Roch Cholowsky two years ago and is only two years older. Way too soon to pull the plug on him.
Jeff Passan was wrong. Look who cracks 100. Baseball America is about to put Bresnahan in their Top 100
"A year from now, you could see the Giants as the number one farm system in baseball..." BA's J.J. Cooper explained how San Francisco's farm is supported by droves of talent at the Complex and Class A levels:
Chase refused to have Michael Madsen in the Sopranos because he wasn't Italian. What role could he have played?

I guess Posey did discuss Logan Webb, but talks died after Milwaukee refused to add Prospect Luis Pena in the deal.
KNBR people are running with this. This is an indication of things to come in the offseason when they actually have an offseason. Didn't want to bring this up because it was rumored, but KNBR doesn't seem to care and is open about it. Guess it's true.
Luis Arraez continues to draw interest from the Rays, Yankees, Red Sox, Guardians, and Padres, but the Giants remain set on a high asking price, per sources.
Pavs says Giants can't discuss Bader's injury.
From what he has heard, it's a pretty bad injury, and he doesn't know if he will return to baseball. He also states that the Giants like their chances of voiding the contract.
Minimum Wage in California is going up in 2027. Will we all get raises?
In the past, I think we have gotten raises by the amount that they went up. I believe it's going up .50 cents based on reports. We're all getting a 50-cent raise in January?
