How to toplane

Im new to toplane, I play midlane, mainly assassins but im picking up Darius as secondary role. I play akshan and Aurora mid, while these can be played mid i don’t like being the ranged toplane that everyone hates. How does one play toplane? I don’t understand trading as melee. Midlane its just poke them with some abilities or wait out some key abilities before you can engage. While I think this also applies on top, like I can poke someone with Darius Q, its a bit harder to bait some abilities. But how do you trade in toplane and know to go in or you know you win the trade early? Is it a lot different to midlane? And Darius in the midgame I think he is more of a splitpusher no? You want to be in the sidelane the most I think. Any tips and such?

comet or electrocute

What type of matchups does one take comet over electrocute? what are the pros and cons of each runepage and so against what type of champs do you take each one? electrocute is the standard i guess.

What secondary role?

As the titel States, what do you Guys recommend as a secondary role? I currently have adc but that shit is harder than I thought. I don’t like playing with someone else in the lane, i die super super fast and it never went well, i tried some twitch but I just don’t have the damage to keep up with my squishieness. Toplane I do like but its mainly required to be a frontliner, i can’t play marksmen what i like or ill get flamed for good reason (ranged top is kinda meh). In terms of macro top is most similar to mid i think. I do enjoy jungle in just unrated games but the role is so fundamentally different from laning that I don’t think its a good idea to have it as secondary role. Same story with support, I mean i can just play Lux, poke, that kind of stuff but i don’t really like again playing with 2 people in lane.

Locke Combo

Ive noticed so as many did that the Q's are kind of hard to land all 3 (from further away). You deal early little damage if you hit 2 Q's instead of 3 and trading is very reliant on the nail stacks. The ideal situation is hit 3 nails and consume with E to kill them. When you're close its way way easier to hit all 3 nails and ive seen some other locke players use E1 to get close, spam the nails and consume with E2. Others just run at you with W and hit the nails and only then E you to shit. Isnt this better as a trading pattern instead of trying to poke someone and pray it hits them from back in the lane? i wanna hear your thoughts and tips.

Beginning calisthenics at home

Im 18 and very skinny. I weigh abt 55kg and ive been skinny like my whole life, can’t gain weight easily and im super lean. I don’t feel bad or so its just i don’t think I look good, way too skinny. I just want to start at home gaining muscle and such with calisthenics and Maybe continue in the gym but start at home. I don’t know where to start, what a good routine is, how my week should look with it etc etc. I also struggle with motivation a bunch, i wanted to start long ago but i kept stalling it bcs I don’t know where to start and I think i may quit after a few weeks but i have to motivate do keep doing it. Does anyone have a good routine or YouTube video’s and tips where to begin or how I can start with it? I don’t have access to a lot of equipment at home. I want to do calisthenics because I think its the best to get into because you dont need equiment and it just builds the best physique I think.

How to hard Carry all

Today I played six games and lost all six. I definitely made some mistakes myself, but the last two games honestly didn't feel that bad from my side. The problem was that my teammates fell so far behind that I couldn't do enough to carry.
For example, in one game our Yone started feeding almost immediately, and in several games it felt like teammates were just running into the enemy team for no reason. What's making it even more frustrating is that yesterday I had a really good session and won a lot of games, yet I don't feel like I played significantly differently.
I know "losers queue" isn't really a thing, but after a streak like this it's hard not to feel that way. How are you supposed to carry when multiple teammates are massively behind every game? It genuinely feels like some of these matches are unwinnable.
I know smurfs run into these situations too, but I don't understand how they deal with them. From my perspective, some of these games seem impossible to win no matter how fed I get.
I can record and post one of the games tomorrow if anyone wants to take a look and point out what I could have done differently.

How to play lowelo

I've been hovering around Gold 2–1 for a while now. I win some, lose some, and I've definitely had games where tilt queueing has hurt me, but overall I've been stuck in this rank for a few months.

I honestly feel like I'm playing better than the average Gold player. I'm not saying I'm some hidden Challenger or anything, but a lot of the plays I try to make seem like they would work much better in higher elo games. Sometimes I'll create pressure bot lane to open up opportunities elsewhere on the map, ping what I'm trying to do, and nobody reacts. Other times I'll go for what feels like a pretty straightforward coordinated play with a teammate, but they misplay it and the whole thing falls apart.

I've heard high elo players say that they approach low elo differently because players aren't always focused on the same objectives or win conditions. It sometimes feels like that's what I'm running into. For example, I've learned the hard way that when I'm ahead and side laning correctly, my team will often randomly group mid, fight for no reason, die, and throw away shutdowns.

That said, I know I'm not playing perfectly. If I were, I probably wouldn't still be Gold. I also know tilt queueing and getting frustrated doesn't help.

So my question is: how are you actually supposed to hard carry games in low elo? Should I be changing my playstyle to fit the rank I'm in instead of trying to make what I think are the "correct" macro plays? What are the biggest things players in Gold usually overlook when trying to climb?

to rotate or not to rotate

In the mid game you ofcourse go sidelane. I play akshan and I struggle many times to decide when a fight or little skirmish is happening in the midlane wether to ditch side or continue pushing. In low elo (gold-plat) many times these random fights happen in the midlane and i always doubt if i should rotate to it or not. Many times its just 'dancing' around but sometimes things happen. If i arrive my whole team is dead sometimes, i couldve just stayed side and pushed. I dont know when i can continue pushing or when to go rotate to it, especially when behind, my team keeps dying in these random ass fights that are not needed while im just farming side. So the question is when should i rotate to a fight or anywhere else on the map and ditch sidelane and when should i stay?

avoid autopiloting

How do I avoid autopilotting too much? Sometimes I have these days where im fully aware of everything and very sharp, the game becomes very easy and I play like a god, I do match at least emerald gameplay once in a while. Most of my games I like half autopilot, I know the main things going on and what im suppost to be doing or the next move but im very sloppy in execution or forget or disregard slight info, i make a play and afterwards i think: fuck I fucked up and i know exactly what i did wrong it but i just forgot that detail. Tilt Q doesnt help i know but it happens too much for me that i kinda autopilot and its holding me back greatly.

VOD review mid akshan G2

As the title states, its a game I played today, it was a hard game, counterpicked by Diana, akshan players know the struggle. Yi in the jungle and Darius on top. The early game went kinda shit for my team, I was just trying not to feed and die and get some kills with low risk plays or punishing the enemies. I think I carried this game into a comeback by getting some shutdowns for my team and securing the elder drake. I dont know how to show gold in a replay on the scoreboard so sorry for that. I feel I played very good but never perfect bcs yea its gold. Can someone point out the mistakes and things i do well? ill put the youtube link down to watch it. thanks already. https://youtu.be/zq-0fFJVODE, here is the dpm (ignore the first games of 16 june, I was hella tilted): https://dpm.lol/Luky-AAA Ignore the video quality for now, I just uploaded so the quality is still bad, its being processed.

Anticarries as marksmen/assassins

As the title states, Im gold I and just lost some games back to 50lp gold II. One of the games got me thinking. The early game was OK, I got counterpicked but it wasnt super bad, i managed to get some kills and end the laning fase slightly better. They had Quinn, Rengar, Syndra (my laner), Varus and Nami. The Quinn got fed as well as Rengar and the Bot too. I did some decent damage but team fights were just horrid, I cant wait out all their CC or one shot abilities or my team is dead. I mean I live but i can't contribut anything to the fights because I just get locked down hard. Rengar just ults and jumps me, I die, Quinn one shotted me at some point. How am I supposed to play these kinda matches? Not even these champs but also like malphite or other anticarry. I've had it happen too much that my early game goes OK or even very good but eventually get locked down by some bs champs like tahm kench, rengar or malph. I feel there is not much I can do in those situations no matter how fed I am. Any tips on how to play these matches? I thought about avoiding teamfights but that aint really an option.

Note: I play akshan mid.

Losing easy games

I get this problem where im very ahead, I play mid so ill roam and get my team ahead also. We get some Drakes and such we all have bounties and then one teamfight my team fucks up, we lose the fight and they get bounties. The game goes from easily winnable to this 40 minute game where closely win or lose while it could have been an easy win. Like if im ahead and I give away a 700g bounty its my fault i know. But there are many instances especially in low elo where your teammates just make a dumb play, i live with my bounty, but they all just die and give the bounty and its very game losing. Smurfs must have this problem also but they still win easy and I don’t so im doing something wrong. How do I fix this problem and still win those games

Midgame macro

I play akshan midlane and I have this problem mostly in the midgame and sometimes when I roam early. So if i sidelane and I pushed the wave and go mid because something is happening or to make a play sometimes I get there and it was just worthless or its over so now I want to walk back to lane but a fight starts again but i really wanna farm that wave because it is pushing back into my Side of the map but I also wanna be there when something does happen. Or if I roamed and it turned out to nothing so I start backing in a bush but something might be happening again whilst my laner is gobbling up my tower in the midlane because im roaming bot, do i continue to back or cancel because there is a chance I can get kills but it can also turn out to nothing again. I just can’t always decide in the midgame when i should go back to farm and push the sidewave back out or to stay somewhere else because something might be happening. Or if I should back after the roam was bad to catch my wave and prevent tower damage or risk it for kills and lose CS and tower hp. Its hard to decide and it results in some awkward window of time where I just stand in a bush deciding what to do and that is even worse.

How to get Challenger/high elo

As the title says, ive been playing ranked since last september midlane and play akshan. If he gets banned I just play Aurora. Ive peaked at G1 almost hitting plat but i don’t really know how to get better. The main thing I see is if I don’t Carry I don’t win, I don’t consistently win the lane like high elo players would do. I don’t always snowball while they can snowball even against bad matchups. Sometimes I lose trades i should be winning early and lose like that. If I lose the lane I do 0 damage and hope to get carried but gold-plat the teammates you get arent that reliable. I do watch a lot of otp gameplay and try to copy and understand. I still have yet to find a way to consistently keep stomping my laner. I just wanna get way better and understand how to stomp every game consistently and get at least to master.
