So i’ve being streaming for 8 days! Its going great, already got affiliate and 103 followers.
Man i dint get bitrate i've watch a TON of tutorials no one seems to land in an actual point or opinion. One says that the more bitrate the more quality, another says that yes, thats true but twitch only allows to 6k bitrate and if you put more its gonna look worse, others says that the limit on twitch its 6,000, so they recommend 8,500 but they use 10,000…. Then theres people saying that it doesn’t mattet and they got 32,000 THEN theres others who said never go 60fps cuse theres no visual difference with 30fps… but other are saying that you should NEVER go 30fps… so see why im so confused :(
No matter how much i change its still lokking kinda bad blurry and that
I dont get it. No matter how much i change its still looking kinda bad
Its completely white i can hear some noice but its fully white. It was working perfectly at first i tought it might be the cables display port but then i tried with many and even it not being connected to the pc its still white
I’m trying to decide where to stream, Twitch or YouTube, and I’d love to hear opinions from people who’ve streamed on either platform, or both.
What pulls me toward Twitch is how interactive it feels. Bits, TTS donations, emotes, badges, soundboard interactions, gifted subs, and all the different ways viewers can support a streamer make it feel like Twitch is built around live community engagement. It really pushes viewers to interact, participate, and support creators, and I love that side of it.
What pulls me toward YouTube is how complete the ecosystem feels. I love automatic VOD uploads, the clean channel organization (Home, Videos, Shorts, Lives, Store), and how content feels easier to archive and discover later. I also really like Members-only videos and streams because it feels like a meaningful perk for supporters, instead of just “no ads.”
One thing I don’t think is a good solution is multistreaming. To me, splitting attention between two chats sounds messy. You either end up neglecting one chat, or giving both communities a worse experience. Moderating two chats at once also sounds like a headache.
I also feel like choosing one platform affects what you can offer on the other. For example, if I focused on Twitch but made Members-only content on YouTube, that could make Twitch subs feel like they’re missing out. On the other hand, if I streamed on both at once, I feel like Twitch’s stronger live interaction tools would naturally pull most of my attention there anyway, which would make YouTube viewers feel secondary.
So I’m curious, if you were starting from scratch today, which would you choose: Twitch or YouTube, and why?
From a creator perspective: growth, discoverability, monetization, and community building.
From a viewer perspective: which platform actually makes you want to stay, engage, and support a streamer more?
