Tui na Massage on SCM, I’ve had suboccipital pain for the past two weeks
I had a tui na massage two weeks ago. Going in, I knew it was going to be painful and was prepared for it. He started working on the right side of neck which was easily the most painful part, but it’s also where I typically hold my stress and pain.
My SCM muscle was extremely sore for 5 days on that side, like I couldn’t even move my neck. I got a headache stemming from my suboccipital muscle on the right two days after the massage. It’s been constant ever since and even moved to my left. I’ve had a constant headache for almost two weeks. I’ve had some bouts of dizziness but that’s mostly subsided.
I guess I’m looking for advice on when I should seek medical care or if this is something anyone has dealt with before. I’ve tried heat, stretching, and lots of Advil to no avail. I’ve never had a headache like this before. Not really looking for medical advice.
