A tribute to my eternal companion, TILSA (12) 🕊️

(2014-2026).

It has been 4 months since Tilsa passed away at 12 years old, and the sadness is still deeply heavy. I have to admit that these months haven't been easy at all. I loved her so much; I truly considered her my little soulmate. Her departure left a massive void in my heart, and it broke the hearts of everyone at home because she wasn't just a pet—she was a core member of our family.

Besides me, there is another innocent soul at home who misses her dearly and loved her just as much: my younger brother, Aaron. Aaron is special and has Down syndrome. Naturally, he misses her terribly. He used to always mimic her meows, calling her "Maooo!", showering her with tight hugs and sweet kisses.

As heartbreaking as this loss is, there is something beautiful that has bloomed from it. Aaron now sees Tilsa everywhere. To him, every cat in the world is Tilsa. Whenever he sees a cat at the park, the word "Tilsa" instantly comes to his mind. The beautiful part is that he treats every single one of them with pure affection—the exact same affection he had for her. Because of Tilsa, he now loves all cats.

For Aaron, her loss feels particularly unfair because when he was little, he struggled heavily with speech. He was barely communicative, sometimes detached, and lacked affection after a traumatizing event where he lost his little white teddy bear. But everything changed on May 9, 2014. Tilsa arrived at just 4 months old, and it was love at first sight. My oldest sister placed her on his lap, and Aaron, driven by curiosity, leaned in and started petting her. That tiny kitten worked pure magic on him. She brought back his affection, his desire to communicate, and taught him to express love without fear. It was a true miracle.

As for me, she brought the exact peace I desperately needed for my mental health. She became my loyal little companion, filling my days with warmth, and I will be eternally grateful to her. The universe sent her to create a beautiful story with all of us; she genuinely united and healed us as a family. I will never stop honoring her and remembering her with deep gratitude.

Tilsa was a short-haired calico cat with a gorgeous harlequin pattern and an angelic baby face. She had green-yellowish eyes, a tiny black spot on her nose, and a coat that looked like a work of art. She was incredibly intelligent, brave, and carried a radiant, resplendent energy that anyone would admire. She was truly beautiful. ❤️

Tilsa, if I could tell you anything during these months of absence, it’s that I love you, I love you, and I will never forget you. Everyone at home loves you, misses you, and you will live in our hearts forever. Thank you for everything, TILSA. 🤍

Currently, Tilsa's ashes rest at my mother's house, placed on a beautiful little altar alongside her portrait and a family photo. Each member of the family showed her love in their own unique way, and we will always remember her by the sweet nicknames we had for her:

  • Dad: Tisha
  • Mom: Tilsa bonita
  • My oldest sister: Tita
  • My second sister: Ñañita
  • My older brother: La gatita
  • Me: Tilsa bebé
  • My youngest brother (Aaron): ¡Maooo! (mimicking her meows)

Thank you, TILSA, for giving us the most incredible years of our lives from 2014 to 2026. 🐈❤️

Cuatro meses sin mi amada Tilsa (2014-2026) 🕊️

(2014-2026).

This is Tilsa. Her sleeping face is my medicine for anxiety, and today I wanted to share her peace with all of you. 🤍

Hi everyone. I’ve been following this community for a while and wanted to share something that always helps me ground myself.

My beautiful calico arlequin, Tilsa, passed away after 12 years of being my personal therapist and soulmate. Her physical absence is tough, but her radiant energy is still very much alive.

This photo of her sleeping like an angel is an absolute treasure. Whenever my anxiety spikes or my thoughts start racing, just looking at her peaceful face instantly brings me back to earth and calms my mind.

I know many people here might be having a rough day or fighting silent battles right now. That’s why I wanted to share Tilsa’s light today. I truly hope her sweet energy reaches you through the screen, makes you smile, and brings a moment of deep peace.

Sending a lot of positive vibes to everyone and your fur babies! 🐈✨

[Free] Request: Renaissance oil painting style portrait for my cat Tilsa

Hi everyone. I would appreciate it if someone could help me transform this photo of my cat, Tilsa, into a Renaissance-style oil painting portrait.

She loved posing for photoshoots, so I would love to preserve her exact pose, her beautiful green-yellow eyes, and her purple outfit, but adapt everything into a classic historical painting aesthetic.

Since this is a free request, please feel free to showcase your artistic style. Thank you very much in advance to anyone who takes the time to help me with this!

(August 8) Happy International Cat Day! Meet my gorgeous calico queen, Tilsa. ❤️🎉

Hello everyone! This is my very first post here, and today, for International Cat Day, I am so proud and happy to finally introduce my beautiful Tilsa to this amazing community.

Tilsa is a stunning harlequin calico who absolutely embodies the perfect "calico catitude"—brilliant, elegant, fiercely independent, yet incredibly sweet, tender, and adorable. She is a true model at heart and genuinely loves posing for the camera in her little outfits and dresses!

She has the most unique and beautiful features: pink ears like strawberry milk, eyes that shine like pure gold under the sun, a cute black spot on her nose, and a perfect raccoon-like ringed tail. To me, she looks like a delicious mix of whipped cream, dulce de leche, and Black Forest cake.

I am so incredibly grateful to have her in my life. Her amazing energy and essence always give me so much strength and happiness every single day, especially when we listen to our favorite songs together: A Summer Place by Percy Faith and Greatest Day by Robin Schulz.

Thank you all for letting me share her unique beauty with you today. Happy International Cat Day to all your beautiful calico queens! 🤍✨

TILSA.!!! She is my baby Tilsa, I just wanted you to know how beautiful she is and how sweet and amazing she always was to <3

Hi everyone, I want to introduce you to my beautiful baby Tilsa. She was a truly gorgeous harlequin calico cat, tremendously smart, sweet, and incredible. Tilsa was my faithful companion for 12 years, and she completely stole my heart in an absolute way. She was a true model who loved wearing her little pink and purple outfits, looking always dignified and always a diva. Sadly, she passed away this year, and she left a huge impact on my life. I miss her so much every single day, and I will always keep her in my thoughts.

Everything I do now is to honor her memory, and that is why I came here. I wanted everyone in this community to know how beautiful and amazing she always was to me. My dream is that some artists can see her pictures, fall in love with her unique markings, and kindly show interest in drawing her. I will stay here and keep waiting for that special tribute, because she deserves it. Thank you so much from the bottom of my heart to anyone who takes the time to read her story and look at my beautiful angel.
