What makes a weapon be “advanced” or “level 1”?

Since it would be a lot of text I made some drawings to make it less heavy to read

Some characters in the background are cut because the pages were made for reading vertically. Anyway, I'm probably never making this type of page again, it took way too much time

Appreciation for a small thing: Traversal trait is a very good addition

It spares some lines of text in a lot of abilities and makes everything movement-related cleaner. It's a very good solution for the problem of needing to clarify every time that you can use alternative movements instead of striding if you have the speed.

It probably won't be brought to pathfinder 2e since it would require reprinting the books, but it would be a nice addition there too

Minha mãe comprou esse medidor de pressão na shopee por 30 reais. Só que esse é o nível do texto que veio escrito e fica dando erro quando ela tenta usar. Acho que o produto é só pra dar golpe

It would be nice if alchemist had a class archetype that removed a lot of its versatility in exchange for power

Alchemist currently is... Fine. Still very hard to play if you're new and kinda MAD, but you can actually do the things you're supposed to. The class really came a long way since its first inception.

Bomber has a lot of bombs, mutagenist can chug mutagens and put up a fight while in melee, chirurgeon is a good healer and support and toxicologist can poison stuff that would originally just ignore poisons.

But a lot of people still feel that it is too weak and I don't think it is hard to know why. It really comes down to "the class's main strength is its versatility" vs "I just want to do what my field is good at". But the versatility is also what a lot of other people like in the class and the class was designed with it in mind.

I just think it would be nice to have some sort of "specialist" class archetype, that prevents you from making certain types of alchemical items in exchange for better martial progression or action compression, like with the battle harbinger or war mage.

Took some time off to learn new techniques, this was the result! -> Amethyst and Sapphire staff (plus stats for my project)

This is something I'm making for this project

This first image was the illustration I finished just now. There's still a lot of room to improve, but I think it is good enough for now.

The last image was something I made really quickly some days ago to illustrate the item.

As for the stats, the concept is simple: You don't get extra spells. Instead you use your "mana" (spell slots) to charge the staff and shoot stuff with magic. Since there's no room to upgrade the staff so much in pathfinder, I left it with 2 tiers: basic and advanced, and gave other things to differentiate the gems (like damage type and magic tradition).

I'm trying to work on a homebrew item and would like some opinions about balancing (art + rules). The firepower is based on starfinder2e's plasma caster

I'm trying to achieve the goal I wrote on the concept of the item without it being too strong. I would like it to be a somewhat initial weapon that casters could use (competing with low level staves). I'm making it for this project based on terraria

The level 2 version is a +1 weapon

The level 4 is a +1 striking weapon

The diamond version is also a +1 striking weapon, but since it deals force damage I reduced the damage a bit.

The plasma caster can fire 5 times before reloading, deals 1d8 + 1d10 on a boost with a range of 60ft. Since this weapon has more damage versatility I reduced the boost damage and the range by 20 feet.

You still can prepare only 1 staff, as normal.

Zombies (illustration + abilities for my project)

This is something I made for this project. I tried to make some interesting abilities based on Terraria's zombie variants.

I know its a wall of text, but the idea is:

Armed - Can attack farther

Bald - Brain exposed, easier to kill. But has claws that deal a lot of damage

Pincushion - Resistant to arrows and pointy

Slimed - Can't see, but can sense people through the slime. If it takes a critical hit, the slime has a chance of dying in its place

Swamp - Swim good and ambushes you from the water

Torch - Support. Gives extra damage and speed to other zombies

Twiggy - Can burrow and pop out of the ground to grab you

Zombies for my project [art + abilities]

This is something I made for this project. I tried to make some interesting abilities based on Terraria's zombie variants.

I admit, for swamp I just copied the "Aquatic Bones" skeleton ability. I had the idea of a zombie that could swim good and attack people from the water and went to look if there was anything similar already in the system. It worked very well for what I wanted.

I'm working on an adventure based on Terraria and wrote some rules for it. I need some opinions to see if I'm exaggerating or leaving room for annoying interactions that can derail the game

Reddit usually make the quality of images lower, so I'm also leaving a link to pf2 tools. Its easier to read it there: https://scribe.pf2.tools/v/RCzPS4C4

I'm really trying to make something cool here, so I would appreciate any help I could get

Demon eyes (art + statblock)

This is something I made for this project. They're enemies from Terraria and I tried to give them some interesting abilities so they would be fun to have in this game

Demon Eyes!

This is a drawing I made for this project. What do you guys think?

I didn't want them to just fly and attack, so I tried to come up with some abilities they could use against the players

The early-game gang

I was practicing and messing with ttrpg stuff at the same time. I tried to make them a bit like convention rpg characters.

I liked the idea of the mage having a familiar so I also gave them the finch staff, but I changed the finch in the staff to a diamond from the diamond staff (and placed the bird on the hat)

I was discussing a thing with some friends. In terms of DnD/Pathfinder does this make any sense? Or does it look like complete bullshit?

It started because of this post: https://www.reddit.com/r/Terraria/comments/1t8o0qe/in_a_terrariainspired_rpg_campaign_what_races_do/?utm_source=share&utm_medium=web3x&utm_name=web3xcss&utm_term=1&utm_content=share_button

And since we're talking about player options, the cleric class exists and it receives power from a deity. But the closest we have is the moon lord and the torch god.

Someone commented about the empress of light, but if we do count her, then all the other bosses around her stage of the game would also have that much power. After some back and forth, this scale was born.

Moon Lord was actually placed on the very top, so much that his strongest follower (lunatic cultist) also has the power of a minor deity.

Golem was not placed as a deity, but as a very powerful guardian, with the actual deity being the sun (which the lihzahrds seem to worship)

Do you think this makes any sense?

[Edit]

I'm thinking of setting king slime to 4

Eye of Cthulhu to 5

Brain/Eater to 7

Putting both Queen bee and Skeletron to 9

Wall of flesh to 11 making it around middle of the progression and slightly less powerful.

Queen to 13

Mechs to 15 - 18

And the rest I don't know
