Amazon UK live chat keeps showing an error. Are there any other contact channels?

I placed an Amazon UK order yesterday, and it is scheduled for delivery on Monday. I’m currently away, and nobody will be available to receive it, so I need to ask Amazon to delay dispatch or delivery until later next week.
The Contact Us chat gives me an error every time. I have tried different browsers and the app, but it still does not work.
I’m currently outside the UK and do not have a UK phone number, although I can make calls through my company’s VoIP service.
Has anyone experienced this chat error after an account was reinstated? Is there a working Amazon UK international number, email address, or another support channel? Also, can Amazon actually delay an order before dispatch, or would I need to arrange a hold with the courier after it ships?

Any workaround for near vision with Meta Ray-Ban Display prescription lenses?

I recently bought the Meta Ray-Ban Display with prescription lenses. My distance vision is clear, but my prescription also requires a +1.75 ADD for near vision. I didn’t realise when ordering that the Display only supports single-vision lenses and not progressive lenses.
As a result, my phone and computer screen are blurry while wearing the glasses. Taking them off and switching to reading glasses defeats the purpose because I’m hearing impaired and bought the Display mainly for live captions.
Has anyone with a similar prescription found a practical workaround? For example:
• Removable clip-on reading lenses
• Stick-on bifocal lens segments
• Detachable magnetic lenses placed over the existing lenses
• Another solution recommended by an optician that does not interfere with the display
I’m particularly interested in something removable that would let me see nearby objects while continuing to use live captions. If you have tried anything, please share the exact product and whether it affected the display, fit or image quality.

Fulbright FFSP Interview – Questions & Tips?

Hi everyone,
I am not sure if this the right place but maybe someone here have experienced

I have an upcoming interview for the Fulbright Foreign Student Program (FFSP) administered by AMIDEAST Tunisia, and I’d really appreciate hearing from anyone who has been through the process.
If you interviewed for the FFSP (or a similar Fulbright program in the MENA region), could you share:
• What kinds of questions were you asked?
• Were there any questions that caught you off guard?
• What do you think the interview panel was really trying to assess?
• Any tips on how to prepare or mistakes to avoid?
I’m particularly interested in understanding the overall interview style, the balance between academic, leadership, and personal questions, and anything you wish you had known beforehand.
Thanks in advance for any advice or experiences you’re willing to share!

URGENT: Interview in 3 days for an AI/ML PhD. I’m a mid-career physicist (MSc 2006, 20+ yrs clinical exp) with ZERO coding/AI background. Need research pitch ideas!

Hey r/MedicalPhysics, I am low-key panicking and need some serious advice.
I have an interview in exactly 3 days for a fully funded, 3-year PhD at the University of Bologna (funded by IRCCS Reggio Emilia). The project is explicitly focused on: "Data-driven radiotherapy: employing machine learning and automated frameworks to streamline treatment planning enhancement and patient-specific data analysis."

A bit about my background:
I got my MSc in Medical Physics from the University of Surrey back in 2006. Since then, I’ve spent over 20 years in active clinical practice and academia, and I’m currently an Assistant Professor of Medical Physics. I’ve spent decades managing daily clinical workflows, treatment planning system commissioning, absolute dosimetry, and machine QA. I know the clinical side inside and out.

The Problem:
I have zero formal background or prior hands-on experience in Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, or deep coding. My MSc is two decades old. While I am highly competent in clinical workflows and traditional radiation physics, pitching a winning, cutting-edge AI research proposal to a selection committee feels incredibly daunting when I'm competing against younger grads who might have spent the last four years doing pure computational physics or data science.

The Interview Requirement:
In 3 days, I have to present my (20-year-old) MSc thesis and pitch my proposed "research interests" for this highly competitive AI project.
I am terrified of walking into a room of computer science wizards and looking like a dinosaur. I need to flip my lack of AI experience into a strength by pitching a 3-year project that relies heavily on my clinical intuition, but I have no idea what that project should actually be.
How can I survive this interview?
1 Research Ideas? What is a realistic 3-year AI project I can pitch that uses my deep clinical/QA background? I need an idea that sounds cutting-edge but won't require a CS degree to pull off in 36 months.
2 Bridging the Gap: How do I frame a 2006 MSc to sound relevant for a 2026 data-driven PhD?
3 The Pitch: How do I convince an Italian selection committee that a 20-year clinical veteran with no AI background is actually their safest, best bet for a 3-year sprint?
I’m completely open to harsh realities, practical advice, or specific project ideas that could help me structure a bulletproof research proposal for this scholarship.

Thank you!!

Arabic live captions / translation on Meta Ray-Ban Display?

Hi everyone,
Does anyone know how to enable Arabic live captions or live translation on the Meta Ray-Ban Display glasses?
I couldn’t find Arabic in the settings, so I’m wondering if it’s not supported yet, region-locked, or requires a specific app/software update.
Has anyone tried this successfully?

Incoming MSc Signal Processing student

Hi everyone,
I’ll be joining the MSc Signal Processing and Communications programme at the University of Edinburgh, and I wanted to connect with other incoming or current students in the programme.
I’d also really appreciate any general advice from students who have already gone through it. I’m especially interested in thoughts on module selection, workload, dissertation/project choices, useful preparation before starting, and any tips for making the most of the programme academically and professionally.
I’m also interested in areas like wireless communications, signal processing, AI for communications, 5G/6G, and industry-linked dissertation or internship opportunities, so I’d be happy to connect with anyone with similar interests.
Thanks in advance, and feel free to comment or message me.
