Housewarming gift

Housewarming gift

Hi guys. I received a monstera as a housewarming gift over the weekend. It’s in soil and I would love to transfer it to semihydro. It’s still young so I’m worried making the transfer will shock it.

Should I just go for it and transfer the monster or should I wait until it’s a bit older?

I am currently trying to do 3/4 LECA and 1/4 lava rocks. I use tap water and have GT foliage focus and/or Purived liquid plant fertilizer. I switch between the 2 but lately have been using GT more often, water once a week with diluted fertilizer.

Bonus: I also received a small Calathea and would like to know best scenario to transfer to semihydro also!

I mostly have pothos and philodendrons in semihydro.

Reintroducing bottles to my baby

Hi guys! 👋🏼 looking for some insight/advice on reintroducing bottles to my baby.

My baby is 9 months breastfed and I pumped while I was working for bottles but he hasn’t had a bottle since he was 7 months old. We moved and I just never got the motivation to offer a bottle again since i’m in-between jobs.

I’m thinking about wanting to combo feed or maybe even pump again but realize that he doesn’t take a bottle nipple anymore. I’ve done the whole find one that is similar to the boob and offer just the nipple in a low pressure environment but he just treats it like a chew toy. When i put milk in there, he instant turns away.

He also uses a transition gravity straw with his bottle for water but when I tried putting milk in there, he almost started rejecting his straw until he realized i put water back.

At this point i’m close to resigning to just ebf until he turns 1 year when he can drink cow’s milk which he’s tried mixed with his solids and actually likes. Was hoping to be able to go out during the day and leave him at grandparents but it might not happen.

How to store?

It’s been about 1.5 years since my wedding, but my dress is still in her dress bag in my closet. I really want to store it properly or even display if possible because I am still so in love with how pretty it is.

Does anyone have good online places that can do that? Or anything local in the Sacramento, CA area?

Supply dip.

Hi guys! My son is 7 months old and i’ve been pumping when I am at work (4 days a week from 8am-5pm) at 10 am, 1pm, and 4pm.

Lately i’ve noticed a dip in my supply happening over the past month. I used to get roughly 16 oz/475 ml from those 3 pumps but now I average 11 oz/325 ml.

When I am home, I breastfeed on demand and my son still does feeds overnight, which I don’t mind. He is a fast eater and usually never feeds longer than 7-10 mins. He also eats 2 meals a day.

I did get sick with a cold twice in May but I really tried to avoid cough syrups and only took tylenol or ibuprofen if necessary. I also went on vacation to visit family for 2 weeks and was just breastfeeding the whole time.

I’ve been doing a power pump after my son goes to bed every night this past week but my pump supply is still decreasing ever so slowly at work (i averaged 12 oz last week and this week I averaged 11 oz). I try to hydrate but remembering to drink water is the bane of my existence. However, i’ve drank more water these last 2-3 weeks than I ever did.

I just don’t know what else to do. I would love to keep my supply up for my baby until he at least turns one. I have a freezer stash but my son has developed a dislike for frozen milk due to my high lipase. I can get by with mixing it with fresh milk but i can’t rely solely on my stash anymore.

Thanks for any recs.

Hello, title says it all. I'm trying to connect my new Note X10 to the app but it says I need an account and when I register I need the code to be sent to my email but IT TAKES SO LONG. Literally it takes over 24 hours for the email to arrive and by then the code has expired.

Anyone else having this issue? My email has a dot in it if that is helpful.

Hi parents!

Are most breastfed/combo babies using size 1 nipple flow?

I was using dr browns size 2 flow but baby went on a nursing strike and so i went back to size 1. But now he’s only taking about 10 oz during the day when with the size 2, he was taking about 16 oz.

I breastfeed when i’m at home and he’s been waking up more often at night for what i’m assuming is making up for lost calories during the day.

I would love to size up again but his caregivers (my parents and MIL) don’t really pace feed him no matter how many times I tell them. And i’m scared he’ll go on a nursing strike again.

Baby is 6 months old.
