litter robot is everywhere when you search for automatic litter boxes but i have a few things holding me back. the design feels claustrophobic for my cat and the price is steep for something i'm not sure she'd even use.

the two things i keep trying to compare are odor control and how each one handles waste storage. some seem to just auto scoop into an open tray which doesn't really solve the smell problem, others seal waste away with active airflow and filtration which sounds more thorough. open top designs keep appealing to me more than enclosed ones for my cat's sake. also came across the fact that some of these are HSA/FSA eligible which i didn't know was possible for pet products. have pre tax funds available so that would make the decision a lot easier financially.
