What kind of creature can make itself into a building?

My party is in possession of a very powerful, but increasingly unstable grimoire. They are going to be advised to take it to The Archive.

The Archive is a being of some sort that turned itself into an archive to collect and store items of interest. Anything it takes in is in forever, making it the perfect place to leave such an incredible book.

The downside is, you have to be very careful what you say while inside. If it hears anything interesting it will take that information from you and add it to its collection.

My original idea was a Devil, but the more I look into them... It really doesn't fit their M.O.

What kind of creature could be motivated by obsessively hoarding knowledge and would be able to shapeshift itself into a building?

Toyota Corolla LE, 2013 Trunk Striker Plate fell off, but I have an idea...

As per the title, my trunk's striker plate fell off. So, I'm missing the backing plate and the bolts. It would appear that the only way to get to the backing plate is to pry open that back trunk wall, find it, reattach it, and weld it back shut.

I have an idea, though I'm not sure how viable this is. If I could find sheet metal anchor bolts in the right size, could I possibly use them? What size do I need?

Of course any other thoughts and reasons why this won't work are appreciated. TIA

Shadow Puzzle Dungeon

My party is about to enter a castle controlled by an evil Fey creature who calls herself "Mistress Shadow". So, of course all the puzzles and traps are going to be based on shadows.

At one point they can't pass through a door drawn on a wall until they shine a light behind themselves and their shadows pass through first. There is a gap they can't cross until they use a shadow that becomes a bridge. That sort of thing.

What shadow themed puzzles have you employed?

So, my players are about to encounter a dragon in combat. She is the cousin of a dragon that is mostly their ally.

The Good Guy dragon is an Orium dragon, which stands to reason that the Baddie dragon is an Orium dragon. (I should point out that the Baddie has so far always been in humanoid form).

Does she have to be Orium? Can she be a Red dragon? Like... Can her power hungry nature change her type? Is that canon to any degree?
