Advice and help with goal time

I will preface I know there is only so much advice I can here I know but I don’t have any running friends so here goes.

I ran Manchester back in April 4:07:58 and then hit rock bottom with illnesses and just for some reason a bounce back to zero fitness. Since then I’ve got my training back on point and I am finally seeing progress.

I have a half now in the middle of sept and Runna (I know) is estimating me to run it at 1:44 which is not going to happen, but I don’t know what time to aim for now and I like having pace goals in mind so any advice?

I did a recent race 10km at 51:00 and a training 5km at 24:21 which were both PBs. My last half was in February and I did that is 01:57:28, again a PB

Based on this I was thinking around 1:55 might be a good goal but is that too ambitious or underselling myself?

Any words of wisdom?

Impatience with greenies 😫 and advice for applying nails

It’s been two weeks since I took my last set off and I’m obviously waiting for the greenies to grow out but I just want my nails back! (They are green, but for some reason look yellow on the pic!)

How bad would it be to put new nails on? The greenies cover a big part of my nail so I’m looking at another 3/4 weeks til they grow out. I also hate looking at them.

For when I do reapply (whenever that blissful day arrives) any tips? I used brush on nail glue, and press them on quite hard but I was reading that can cause air bubbles? Help a gal out!

Greenies….mortified and would appreciate any advice

Hi all, I’m new to press nails and just taken my second set off after two weeks and I’ve got 5 green nails 😓😓😓
Clearly my application needs work as I didn’t realise any was lifting as they didn’t look to be lifting and weren’t catching

So any advice for now and going forwards?

I’ve buffed and cleaned the nails, and will vinegar soak them tonight but can I put polish over them for work tomorrow? I’ve read conflicting advice but I work customer facing and I’m so embarrassed.

Also how can I avoid this in the future? Like I said they didn’t feel like they’ve lifted anywhere, maybe my application left bubbles I don’t know?

Just any advice for a mortified and embarrassed woman 😓

Little lump appeared, not painful

Just overthinking as per and coming off the back of a different post….

I noticed this tiny lump next to the eye on Munchie, no pain, itching or redness I can see (aside from the drawn arrow before the sarcasm comes to play 🙃🙃). Could it be over moisturising? I’ve been washing and popping lotion on twice a day til now.

Haven’t had peeling or scabbing for days now and had this a little under 2 1/2 weeks.

Just looking for advice/reassurance

Had this done on Weds and love it, but today I’ve noticed it lifting and skin coming off, but not like scabs, just skin (if that makes sense)
One part is on the paw closest to camera, which now looks a lot duller than before.

I’ve only had line work done before so hoping it is normal and I’ve not over moisturised … which I do two-three times a day depending on how it’s feeling (for reference this has just been moisturised and some came more ‘skin’ came off during)

Thanks :)

Why am I finding so few??! 12 from today, 24 yesterday!

I've found the deposits out on the open, dug around seemingly everywhere and there are no more I'm coming across ?!?!?

I've mined where I've found caves before, where the deposits were. Where am i going wrong?

My dreams of a super campsite are disappearing 🥲🥲🥲

This is pure curiosity on my part!

How much did you have to raise for your place and did you hit your goal? If not did you still get to run?

I saw quite a few post on my socials a few weeks out from London with people posting and commenting on how far off their goals they were and were beginning to panic. Me being nosy of course wondered what happened to these runners. I know alot of donations come in closer to the event, but I've also seen posts of people claiming they just get a charity place don't hit to goal and the run anyway which seems a little bit wrong if true.

And I totally get that fundraising is hard, I ran a charity place for Manchester this year and managed, with some very very generous donations, to almost double what I needed to raise, which was £500, but it was a slog to get donations etc! I was also told up front that if I didn't hit my goal I would lose my place (whether true or not I don't know!)

With places already such a competition to get I'm curious on how strict charities have been.

I'll add I'm not going to be applying for a charity place again, fundraising was more stress than the actual training block!
