In which Windhorst won’t go over 53 wins for the Knicks because “injuries.”

In which Windhorst won’t go over 53 wins for the Knicks because “injuries.”

The Knicks talk is around 4:24. Hoops collective is an alright podcast, but I find it hilarious how they still find any avenue to pick against the Knicks. Windhorst wouldn’t commit to over 53 wins for the Knicks because he alluded to injury luck the team had last year — but at the same time was quite bullish on the Celtics winning well over 50, apparently having no similar concerns for a team relying on Paul George and Mitchell Robinson. He also was a slam dunk yes on the Spurs going over 59 wins, expressing no injury reservations for a team that relies on a 7’5 physical anomaly. Anyway, I’m sure Windy will get a warm reception again when he’s around the Garden

Is there a reason they don’t do hype packages anymore?

Other than I guess it’s less time to cram in a few more shitty ads? It’s a really easy thing to do, especially now with video editing technology being so basic that any random fan can do it. Imagine WM 17 without the iconic My Way Austin/Rock videos. Quick video packages are perfect to bring people up to speed who haven’t watched every marginal second on Raw and Smackdown. I think generally they would want to make the product more watchable to casuals. Such a low hanging fruit that they fail to capture. Like 5 3 minute packages a show is all they’d need. Cut a match if necessary.

Isn’t it awesome when...

You get more excited when your team
manages to hold onto its own guys than chasing NBA “stars.” Here’s to being down with the squad you have. Long live the Brunson beat down crew!

Anthony Edwards = Damian Lillard?

You can make the argument that Antman is having a higher peak, but does it strike anyone else that it looks like these dudes are having the exact same career?Quickly rise up the ranks to be a perennial all-NBA guard, have some early postseason success, but then be stuck on a team that’s good, but not good enough to win it all and in a city that has trouble getting big free agents to sign.

Stephen A Smith is a Complete Joke and Disgrace

So the Knicks lose a Finals game and he’s already back on the “trade Bridges and KAT” bandwagon. I would have posted the link, but it’s Twitter and apparently we can’t do that. We already knew the man was a human weather vane when it comes to what he calls sports analysis, but this is beyond parody at this point. Also, his recent beefs with Jaylen Brown and Nick Wright show just how delusional he has gotten as to his own status and importance. He’s been threatening people he gets into spats with like a mob boss. So I think we should let Stephen hear what we think of him if he comes near anything Knicks-related, win or lose.

I think I’m done with the NBA if they keep rigging this series

I can’t invest the time, energy, and money in a sport that isn’t on the level. At least the WWE represents itself as “sports entertainment.” It’s insulting to one’s intelligence that the NBA is masquerading this Finals as a legitimate competition. In between commercials we get to watch officials put their thumbs on the scale—utterly unwatchable. Idk dude, guess I’ll watch fishing or stick to college ball instead. Anything but soccer. Anyone else at their wit’s end with the NBA?

How late did you stay up last night?

Not gonna lie, I was up till like 4am raving like a lunatic about corrupt officials and a gangster league. As much as it sucks, remember for years when we were just dead inside basketball-wise.
