Apparently being a parent to two children with severe non speaking autism isn’t hard enough, we are now dealing with idiots complaining about us on Facebook!

For context: My husband often takes my son and our dog to an off-leash dog park. My son plays with the leaves and stims a bit with the dogs, NEVER intentionally hurting them, just tapping them with his hands.

Well some anonymous a-hole decided to rant on a local far right Facebook group about it, claiming my son is intentionally hitting, kicking and poking the dogs with sticks. Then he goes on to threaten my husband in the post with violence as do a few other people. It’s complete BS and makes me so angry and scared for the safety of my family!

Does anyone have any advice? I live in a small city with a number of ignorant morons, but there are also really great people here who have been understanding about our situation. My son likes the park for the plants and trees and while he’s not really into dogs, he would never hurt one on purpose!

I was talking about all the pain and suffering in the world and how much humanity has regressed in recent years with my husband, when I got an image in my mind of an advanced society. It felt like the earth, but I’m not sure if it was wishful thinking on my part or my imagination?

What do you guys think about our future?

My 7-year old has regressed quite a bit toilet training wise and will now time his poop for when we put him in a Pull Up. I don’t know why because he was going in the toilet when we put him on there for awhile, but he just stopped.

Please help! I started putting him in padded underwear again, but I’m so frustrated.

I’m a sensitive person and have had some experiences and would like to develop my abilities.

Thing is, I have a hard time finding someone to talk to about this stuff and most people would probably just think I’m weird.

Are there any mediums open to chatting?

I started working at a new daycare, and I’m already feeling burned out.

I have two children with moderate-severe nonspeaking autism and it has been ROUGH! I work with problem behaviours all day at work and am super tired by the time I get home. Then it’s whining, hitting and screaming and all the stuff that ND parents have to deal with, and the inability to have a conversation with my kids. My 7 year old still isn’t potty trained and will elope if given the chance.

Are there any childcare assistants or ECEs here with autistic children? How do you manage?

Yesterday, a neighbour kid saw my son wearing a diaper and asked my husband this question.

I can’t control what I taste or smell, and it happens randomly throughout the day. So strange.

I know I *just* started dieting and exercising but I still look overweight and like I’m not trying at all. I’m working out hard and limiting bad foods.

I feel discouraged and could use some advice!

So I weighed myself last night and am now very close to being categorized as “overweight.” I have never been this heavy, but after two kids, tons of stress and hitting my 40s, the weight has crept on.

My plan is to do kickboxing and Muay Thai twice per week and weight train the other two. And of course, cut processed and sugary foods.

Eventually I’d like to work out 5x week. Is that enough? What diets do you guys follow?

Has anyone had an experience where their doll would activate their light for a while but then suddenly stopped?

Recently, I tried using a pendulum and dowsing rods to communicate with one of my dolls. Unfortunately, nothing came of it and she stopped triggering her light. Feel kinda bummed about it.

Does anyone else hate the question: “What are your weaknesses?”

I seriously don’t know how to answer this without going full Homer Simpson, lol. (There’s a Simpsons episode with this question)
