Are these good results?

Are these good results?

Hi everyone, bit background info about me. I'm 22M 120kg, 185cm. Last year in August doctors gave me metaformin (2x1000mg) to take after a meal. I lost some weight but not a lot.

Recently I did blood checkup so I wanted to share and get some info if this is good or bad.

Wellbutrin XR 150mg question

Hello,

I have been recently diagnosed with ADHD and Depression, my psych at first didn't know I was depressed so they started me with the drug Concerta which I didn't find to improve at anything. Since they found out I have depression too they want me to take wellbutrin and concerta together, kinda afraid to do that because of the possible side effects. Is it fine if I take the medication together?

Power Engineering or Telecommunications

Hi everyone

Im persuing my EE degree and its time for me to choose my main module but I really need advice on what to choose.

So there are two options I can choose

  1. Power Engineering

  2. Telecommunications and Electronics engineering.

Im very good with computers and I love servers, datacentars and cables that is very interesting to me. But looking at the jobs available for second optiom its not a lot and that scares me a lot.

With power module I would be able to find a job very fast but most likely medium salary.

How did you cope with your diagnosis and how did you start treatment journey?

Hello reddit! It's time for me to write something too.

I was recently diagnosed at the age of 22 (Combined type), my whole life I have been struggling with a lack of motivation, social aspects, problems with depression and controlling impulses/emotions. I managed to go from 70 kg to 130 kg in 5 years when Covid hit.

By the way, I'm a student at the university, I failed my first year and now I'm retaking the courses I failed. I just got the diagnosis and I honestly don't know what to do. I failed 3 courses already and probably will have to repeat the year again -.-

I know that the medicine will help, but I would honestly like to start with some other types therapy too, although in my country ADHD is a non-existent disease, only last year they introduced an ADHD office at the mental health institute and there are so many patients wait time is over 8 months. Don't really have the finance to pay a private healthcare clinic to help me.

Regarding medication we only have Concerta for now, other therapy like non stimulants are sadly not available. I have been prescribed 18mg. It's been two weeks and honestly not much changed, will probably need to up my doses.

In around 50 days I have large amount of exams, since I do everything on last minute I need to start learning how to actually learn stuff and organize my time to study. I legit study all day and at the end I fail all exams.

Hi everyone,

I'm currently 276 lb and recently got diagnosed with fatty liver, insulin resistance, and high blood pressure. Right now I'm trying to seriously change my lifestyle because I know continuing the way I was going is not good for my health long term both phisically and mentally.

At the moment I'm cutting out sodas, sweets, fast food, and trying to stop random snacking during the day. I also take 2x Glucophage 1000mg daily for insulin resistance/metabolic issues, and I’m also taking blood pressure medication prescribed by my doctor + adhd medication.

One of the biggest problems for me is that I think about food literally 24/7. Fast food cravings are very strong, especially early in the morning or late at night. Even when I’m not physically hungry, I still think about eating constantly. It feels more mental than physical sometimes.

I also don’t move a lot currently, but starting next month I’m planning to go to the gym around 2–3 times a week just to slowly build better habits instead of trying to do everything at once and burning out.

I wanted to ask people who maybe went through something similar:

  • What helped you control cravings?
  • How did you stop obsessing over food all day?
  • What small habits made the biggest difference for weight loss and insulin resistance?
  • Did exercise help your energy/cravings over time?

Any advice, experiences, or tips would really help. Thank you!

Hello,

I have recently been diagnosed with ADHD and has given Concerta 18mg to start with. I'm 120kg, 20M height around 185cm. This is my fourth day on Concerta and I have to be honest first day I felt relatively good but other three days I didn't feel anything except that my heart rate is around 85-100.

I have been also diagnosed with High Blood pressure and Insulin resistance and have been taking medication for that too.

My routine is that I wake up around 7-8am, eat and take the medicine around 9:30.

Any help & advice is wanted ^_^

Hi 22M here. Today is my first day on Concerta 18mg, I took it in the morning with plenty of water and had good breakfast with protein. I noticed when I took it that my pupils are bigger. As Im student I started studying I could follow the class lets say 50-60% of it without thinking about anything else, not bad honestly. Other than that should I feel anything else?

A bit of background:

Recently, I hired a freelancer for $600 to build a website. He “completed” it in about three weeks and sent me the code to test. The moment I opened it, I noticed ChatGPT style comments and formatting. Out of curiosity, I ran it through AI detection tools, and it came back as almost entirely AI generated.

I was honestly surprised. When I brought it up, he brushed it off and said it didn’t matter as long as the site worked. On top of that, when I asked about security, he completely ignored the question. Also lot of missing features pages.

I decided to open a dispute and provided a large amount of evidence. PayPal declined my case. The next day, I appealed, and they reopened it. However, while I was in the process of adding additional details and proof literally within about 10–15 minutes they closed the case again in the seller’s favor.

Now PayPal refuses to reopen it again, which is extremely frustrating. I have been using paypal for 10 years have over 20k transactions and in total this was my 4th case.

So yeah screw you Paypal and I won't be using you again!
