When did it kick in?

Hello everyone,

This morning (about 9 hours ago), I took my very first dose of Mounjaro/tirzepatide - 1 mg. I decided to try microdosing since I only have around 6–7 kg (13–15 lbs) to lose.

It’s still too early to tell if anything has changed. After the injection, I had a light breakfast, and a few hours later I got really hungry (probably because I went for a morning run). I ended up having a big lunch with a friend, including dessert. So far, I haven’t noticed any appetite suppression at all.
That said, I know it’s very early, so I’m not jumping to any conclusions yet.

What was your experience like? When did you first feel it kick in? I know everyone responds differently, but I’m curious to hear your stories. Thank you!

I feel like I've spent my whole life chasing the same 5–6 kg - anyone in similar situation and tried Mounjaro?

I'm 165 cm (5'5") and weigh around 65 kg (143 lbs), so I'm not overweight. My dream weight has always been around 58–59 kg (128–130 lbs). It's only a few kilograms, but I've been trying to lose them for most of my life.

I've struggled with eating disorders since I was 14, including binge eating. I've been in therapy, and thankfully, I no longer binge eat. However, I still feel like I naturally have a big appetite and stronger cravings than most people.

I exercise regularly, eat relatively healthy, and I've even run marathons. I also have PCOS, although I do not have insulin resistance.

My weight has been the same for years. It doesn't go up, but it also doesn't go down. It feels like it's cemented in place.

Part of this is aesthetic. I've always had a round, fuller face and a double chin, and I think I would feel better and more comfortable in my body if I lost a few kilograms. But it's also functional. As a runner, I would love to feel lighter and potentially run faster.

I also constantly feel like I'm not the best version of myself. It's hard to explain, but I have this persistent feeling that there is a slightly leaner version of me that I haven't been able to reach, despite years of effort.

I've managed to lose the weight a few times in my life, and it always came back quickly. It almost felt like it happened overnight.

I've decided to try Mounjaro, but I'm scared. I'm afraid the same thing will happen again once I stop taking the medication. I also feel like this is my "last attempt." If this doesn't work, I may have to accept that my body simply wants to be around 65 kg.

Has anyone been in a similar situation - normal BMI, PCOS without insulin resistance, history of binge eating that is now in remission, naturally big appetite, active lifestyle, and a weight that just won't budge? And if you've taken Mounjaro, what happened after you stopped?
