I don't know what's going on in the job-sector.

Hey all,
I am an international master's student at RWTH Aachen, completing my degree in Mechanical Engineering by next semester (I hope), with 2 years of Work Experience in a full-time R&D role before moving here.

And I have a doubt. I've been applying for internships as part of my credits, but I've been rejected almost every time; only 2 % of the applications turned into an Interview. But I've been contacted by multiple HRs and recruitment agencies, directly via LinkedIn and other sources, for full-time Engineering roles; one was even for a Manager.

What the hell is going on? My LinkedIn is a true copy of my Resume; hence, I am more confused than ever. Can anyone help me understand?

My Analysis of Bihar's Economic Strangulation and Sabotage by the Central Govt, as a universal answer to "Why Bihar is 10-15 years behind all the other states?"

Lets start from independence, and you can or anyone can fact check it through any sources, coz I am not making anything up here

1947–1950s (Feudal Death): Congress Chief Ministers, backed by rich elites ( people will say upper caste but plenty were Baniyas, yadavs, Bhumiaars, etc too) basically zamindaars, systematically delay and dilute land reforms, keeping Bihar trapped in an archaic, oppressive feudal structure.

1952: The Nehru government implements the Freight Equalization Policy, subsidizing mineral transport nationwide. This strips Bihar of its geographic competitive advantage, simply stopped the industrial growth in UP-Bihar-Bengal Belt, no need to explain further, Bengal port was already nearby.

1960s (Political Instability): Total breakdown of legislative stability begins; rampant party-switching births short-lived coalition governments focused purely on survival rather than state building. Internal factionalism engineered by the Central Congress high command breaks the back of Bihar’s regional leadership such as S.N. Sinha and Mahamaya Prasad Sinha.

Basically 1967 tak Congress was in power, and ek naya Sandaas tak ka effort nhi lagaya unhone, 1967: Before this election term, Congress had tried everything, deliberately prolonging Famine, and droughts aftermath and food Crisis. Basically followed the path of the British to subdue Biharis, as history suggests, almost all major revolution has started in Bihar itself. Anyways, this angers the public and student leaders (BTW NITISH KUMAR and LALU YADAV) rose from here as student leaders. Period of Economic Distress and Anti-Incumbency.

1967 (1st non-congress govt is formed): Which was basically all the regional parties together against congress, to waise bhi kuch acha hona mushkil tha, bura hona band ho jaata, still they agreed to the Common Minimum Programme containing 33 points to guide governance despite their massive ideological differences.

Congress ko pachta ye baat??? Hell no, so they started wooing the different party leaders, with money, with "benefits" iykwim etc to destabilize the govt. And in less that a year in January 1968 the government falls.

1968–1972 (Central Puppeteering): The Central Government exploits internal political instability to impose President’s Rule four separate times in just four years, ruling the state via centralized bureaucrats (Congress k Chamche). 9 CM in the next 5 years. It was that they didn't want Bihar to get a wee bit stable. Else they wouldn't be able to rip us off right. I'll tell you how. The next scene explains that very well

1974–1975 (The Sabotage & Arrest of JP): Jayaprakash Narayan launches the "Total Revolution" from Patna to fight central corruption. In a direct act of federal vengeance, Indira Gandhi’s government sends Army to crush the movement, violently suppressing Bihar's only powerful independent political voice and imprisoning JP and thousands of Bihar’s student and opposition leaders. Emergency ka daur.
Also, despite being plenty of space in Delhi and Other Jails, they shifted JP to Chandigarh following his arrest in 1975. JP was deliberately isolated coz they wanted to separate him from Active politics completely. The facility was placed under the tight grip of Haryana Chief Minister Bansi Lal, a notorious enforcer of the Emergency, where he was slowly poisoned, coz he went in fit as a fiddle and came out in very bad health condition, that he had to step down from active leadership roles. Else every other regional party was ready to accept him as the new leader of the government they were planning to form again.

1975–1977 (Emergency): During the National Emergency, Bihar’s state powers are entirely hijacked by New Delhi, freezing democratic processes and completely paralyzing local governance.

AB hai sabse bada khel, why they didn't want stability in Bihar, coz people would have just revolted

1970s–1990s (The Banking Drain / CD Ratio Fraud): The RBI and public nationalized banks were forced under Central's order to weaponize Bihar as a cash cow. The state's Credit-Deposit (CD) Ratio is crushed to 25%–35%; for every ₹100 deposited by Biharis, ₹65+ is systematically transferred out to fund massive industrial loans in southern states (like Tamil Nadu) and Maharashtra, while local credit is aggressively denied, which led to downfall of industries which were barely functioning after the all droughts and scarcity and also new sectors couldn't be developed.

So to summarize: **1947-67 :**khud kuch kaam nhi kiya, 1968 : logo ne socha kisi aur ko laa kar kaam karwaye, to govt ko unstable karke sab kuch rok diya, and planned droughts etc se sabko kamzor kar diya. 1970s-1990s complete economic strangulation, Badi industries FEP k kaaran nhi aa rhi thi, choti ko ban'ne hi nhi diya, and Awaaz uthane wale sabko tabaah kar diya.

Now we can come to the facts you mentioned about Caste-Wars and Gunda raj, and Govt jobs. Try to follow this logically

Normal public jiske paas khud ka rozgaar karne ka saadhan nhi mil rha, govt se kuch nhi mil rha, State me kuch ho nhi rha, almost sab raasta band hai, uspe emergency and bhookmari aaye, to kya krega koi bhi: 3 things are only possible

  1. Mehnat: Mehnat karke Govt Job wagrah ka try kare, kyunki eklaute wahi hai jinki time pe salary and stabile life chal rha hai, and for someone who hasn't seen any cent of control in his life, will seek power.
  2. Move out: They moved out to other states and used facilities there to gain control of their life and start something anew.
  3. Lust for Power: As said in 1. Power chahiye, naukri se nhi to Gundai se, to gain control of their own life and others.

Most people chose 2. and 3. coz again, bahut jyada sarkaari naukri mil bhi nhi rhi thi uss time

I don't think I need to explain how 2. turned out. But for 3. Ab koi akele ladne jaayega to pit k hi aayega, to they started forming Groups. This was already going on since 60s. And since most people of the same faction (which was coined as castes by British) stayed together since ancient times, groups were majorly caste-based. But the fight was more like a gang war. Majorly around late 1970s–1980s as the state administration stood by passively, private caste armies like Ranvir Sena (Rich - often portrayed as Upper castes but isme again Vaishya and kuch Shudra bhi the) and Lorik Sena (Poor- portrayed as Lower Caste but again isme bhi kuch Vaishya, Kushwaha jo ki khsatriya hote hai, Bhoomiyaar etc the) form, turning rural Bihar into a warzone of horrific agrarian massacres.

This then escalated into hate crimes and further categorization to actual caste-based gangs when their own caste members gained political power.

Uske bad ka GundaRaj to pata hi hai, as you said,

But finally 1990 me Jungle Raj and Lalu Raj ek saath shuru hua, but due to atrocities committed by Congress, ab Bihar me uski entry kabhi nhi honi thi, and they realized that, and it was obvious that when in 97 lalu was arrested and still Congress didn't come in power, to koi na koi to aake Bihar ka bhala karega hi kabhi na kabhi

Upar se FEP bhi khatm hone ka time aagaya tha, and they didn't have enough power in Central to renew it again. So what they did was separate Bihar and Jharkhand.

Still Bihar had resources and minerals, and again history is evident if how hardworking Biharis are, so they couldn't let it go easily, and the bootlickers following the footsteps of their master British, decided to separate the work force and resources

Bihar: 54 % Land Area, 75 % Population, 5 % Natual resources
Jharkhand: 46 % Land Area, 25 % Population, 95 % Natural Resources (Jo India ka 40% hai)

And 100 % flood issue to hai hi, uspe to kabhi kaam hi nhi kiya.

So I agree, Lalu ne Gunda Raj bahut chalaya, but in my opinion, wo bas ek benefitor hai, like if you treat this as murder of Bihar, Lalu Aiding and abetting ka charge deserve karta hai,, asli crime to UPA ne kiya hai

TBH Jo states aaj kehte hai ki BIHAR is 10-15 years behind them, that is still a compliment, coz reality hai they started around 50s, 60s, 70s, hmne to start hi 2005 me kiya hai

Need some advice

Hey all,
I am learning German A2 now. I did A1 through university courses, and found them to be very slow.
Like A1.1 in whole semester and then A1.2 in intensive.

So I decided I'll do A2 on my own, I may not understand the meaning or form sentences, but my pronounciation and hearing (to make out all words separately) is on point.

Currently I was using the book (with Audio Files) Spektrum Deutsche A2, but doing it on my own is very boring. Since I don't have time all day, so I can't enroll in Private Language Schools for Intensive either.

I came across an Online Course by the name of Nicos Weg, it's fun definitely, but I want to know, will it help, me actually learn or am I wasting my time with it? Currently I don't care about certification, I just wanna get good at conversations.

Thanks for the help.

Were they right all along?

I am 26 (almost 27), and live in Germany now. So here's the thing, I feel ki Papa log jo Lungi penhente the, and Baba(Dada) log jo Dhoti pehente the, is one of the best outfits for this summer.
And I feel like ki try karna chahiye,,currently I wear lounge wear cotton shorts when at home, which are still arent enough.

Patna, me ghar me to AC hai to kabhi mehsus nhi hua,,, What do you think, should we bring back Lungi and dhoti culture to escape this immense heat?

Wanna Know the Job Market In India

Hey All,
Okay so it can be controversial, but I am doing my Master's in Germany, and have 1 more year left. I had a couple of HiWi (Research Assistant in University) jobs here, some corporate experience as well, but I don't like living here much, and I wanna come back to India. Maybe if it were the US or some Asian Country, I could have liked it more IDK.

A little about me: B. Tech Mech 22, 2 years Mech Design and Development Exp in an Indian Company, (Excellent repo there, led 3, assisted 2 projects in 2 years including cutting my training time in less than 0.5 since I was a fresher there), In Germany, Masters in Mech (Specialization: Simulation-Driven Design) from a reputed university (top 3 in TU9)

Know plenty of design and simulation tools and pretty darn good at automation of simulations, ( Ghanto/Dino ka kaam minto me)

So I wanna know, what's the job market like now or will be in a year, in CAE/Simulation/Design roles, preferably in Aerospace/Automotive sectors.

I know most of these roles are available in Pune, Hyderabad, and near to Bangalore areas, but if any are in other places, please let me know,,

And HRs, frankly (since it's anonymous here anyway), what's the pay scale I can expect? I was at around 15 LPA in NCR (Noida so I saved plenty) in 2024. Engineers, please verify as well.

Any help/guidance is highly appreciated.

Edit: Please don't consider this arrogance or overselling my abilities, as for a few internship roles, I have been rejected, citing "Overqualified" for real.

WHY WHY WHY

I just wanna know WHY is this still so important to get married or have a relationship in life.

26M and bhai nahi pasand log,,,, koi bhi nhi,, I like to be on my own, by myself. Isme character ya orientation assassination kaha se aagaya? I can't even tolerate myself next to me if it is not necessary, so why the hell am I expected to tolerate or rather live with any other person?

I don't think there is anything wrong with me, but I am open to discussing.

Wanna finish A2 in 1-2 months. Need plan

Okay, so I took university language courses, they are good but very slow,, and only offer in half bands, like A1.1 then A1.2... which is very irritating for me. At least I got all the pronunciations and phonetics right.

Now I want to complete A2 on my own. I have the book and audio files for Spektrum Deutsche. But I don't feel motivated enough without a plan or a target to achieve.

Can anyone help me with this chart/plan, daily or weekly goals??

I can follow it, I have the time. Even if it's your record of class lessons and homework... it would help a lot.

If anyone is in Aachen, then maybe we could even practice together.

Need some Clarity

Hey all, So I am in 4th semester of my master's and have been applying for internships explicitly. But have faced rejection many times despite my resume being successfully carried forward from ATS. I shared my resume with one of my HR friends, and he said, " My previous professional experience of 2 years as a Design Engineer who was able to lead multiple projects by himself " somehow overmines my skills, and hence, HR and managers might see me as being overqualified for an Internship role now, as it requires just assisting other engineers

I wanna know if this is true? If yes, how do I bypass this assumption, since the roles I am applying are Simulation and CAE roles, which I believe should, by themselves, indicate a lack of expertise beyond general studies or projects, in the role applied for.

Or should I just go for research Projects to fulfill my credits and use this prior experience to directly land a Job??

M26 - Looking to make friends, as I spend most my time in my room, basically not used to making friends, but am trying to change.

Hey, I am 26, 27 in August, but birthdays don't matter to me. I've been in Aachen since Nov 24, but tbh, I haven't even explored Germany much, only Köln. As I said, I don't have many friends in Germany, coz I focused too much on academics. Well, that was the wrong approach, I feel it now. So I am here, not because I am shy, but too blunt, and I don't want to offend anyone.

About me - Quiet, Love binging web series (currently Supernaturals), Indian (I don't mind fun racism, actually I don't mind anything, basically grown to be indifferent), learning German. doing a Master's, looking for internships, and until then, some part-time work lol. Gym enthusiast, but haven't gone in 2.5 months.

(Also for Desi's out here, I'm from Bihar - telling you this coz racism from locals wasn't enough for me. LOL)
