I used white stamping polish and I didnt like the way it looked so I went to paint over it (with Arcana Jade Drake) and i loved the way it looked with a sheer coat of the crelly polish. I will be trying this out with other polishes too now 🖤
So I started collecting indie polish 2 years ago, I have a little over 200 now. I then just recently got into stamping and went crazy bought like 25 plates and abunch of stamping polish. However I did not think it through that 98% of my polishes are glittery, shimmery, glowy, flakey ect. I have a few crème polishes but not many, I like sparkly loud polish and I didn’t think about how a lot of stamps won’t look good with such busy backgrounds or will blend in too much. Any techniques or examples of glittery shimmery polishes you’ve stamped on I’d love to see! I’m now stuck between wanting to wear my pretty polish and wanting to wear my pretty stamps but feeling like both at the same time won’t work. I put some examples of the polishes I typically wear.
2nd time attempting nail stamping, i actually found this time harder than the first but eventually i got it and I’m pleased with the results!!
Hi! I recently posted in here I got a ton of comments which was nice. Some were definitely real but I started to notice a lot of comments with slight misspellings and generic like - this nails look good. So I started clicking on their profile and noticed they all just created an account like a day ago or hours ago. Does anyone know why? Honestly I’m just curious because I haven’t had that in any other subreddit and I thought it was interesting.
Every time I’ve done my nails the last two weeks they bubble like crazy due to the humidity. I added a ton of thinner to my polish think that would help. It did not, I don’t have a fan pointed at me or anything. I don’t have good ventilation in my apartment so I have to open the window when I do my nails but now my last 3 manis have bubbles and look awful 😢 anyone know what else I could do to prevent this?
Glisten and glow sticky base coat and QDTC
Color is Alchemy Lacquers emotional support pine cone
I got this new tray set from SagePolishCo and I’m in love!! Perfect for doing my nails while I get comfy on the couch, I love this thing!!
Glisten and glow- QDTC and stick base coat and VM nail polish I got in a mystery bag from PPU table at the PBE that has no name on it lol.
Was playing around with my kit that came in and this is the first time I’ve tried stamping and I loved it!! I’m afraid this might have been beginners luck and when I go to do a full mani instead of playing around tomorrow I’m worried I’ll mess up. Wish me luck! lol. I was so excited I bought 25 more plates today, hopefully I can get better with time.
Base is KBShimmer hydrating base coat, color is Garden path lacquers too strung up to sleep. Top is Tyler Trinkets quick dry top coat and atomic matte top coat on my ring finger. Decided to do a green mani since I’m always doing pinks and purples and I love this color it’s so pretty!!
Crabrangoon was so happy when I finally came back from my trip to the PBE. He seems to think all the goodies are a new bed for him.
Went to my first PBE this year and went absolutely crazy!! Such a fun time though and I only started collecting about a year ago so this was my chance to get to try all the brands and types of polishes I’ve been wanting to try. If you ask I will let you know what polish is what! Some have no names as they were prototypes and some I made in a polish making workshop so no names for those either lol. Mods if I need to name them all I apologize I will remove post!
Hello! I went to nail polish and beauty expo in Chicago and I’m flying back to Massachusetts. I was wrapping each nail polish in bubble wrap. And bringing them home in a checked bag. I’m pretty close to the 2k L limit for the nail polish. However I also have some liquid soaps, body scrubs ect. Do those also count towards that 2k limit. Is there a chance they throw away the nail polish or other things because I’m over the 2k L limit in the checked bag? Just worried because I spent a ton of money and I’d be devastated if some of the stuff I bought gets thrown out or needs to be removed.
My poor crabrangoon had a blockage last week and got diagnosed with FIC. He already had chronic GI issues that I’ve been working with the vet to find a diet for him and then this happened. I feel so sad for him, he’s only a little over one and I just want him to feel okay. He is on a hydrolyzed prescription food diet and I’m hopeful that helps. If anyone has success stories of their ragdolls with FIC I’d love to hear them. He is doing much better now but it was a stressful week for us both. I’m just praying with the steps I’m taking he won’t have another blockage.
I decided to do a little book of my Polish collection so far. This is my holo taco page, though while doing it I realized I’m missing a couple polishes in my house somewhere that I need to find now 😂
Hi! Just felt the need to vent here. 27f who has struggled with BED as well as other addictions my whole life, food was the first addiction though. I got sober from alcohol and pills about 2 and a half years ago. I heavily relied on weed for the first year after I quit drinking. This last year and a half I’ve been trying to quit smoking weed. Anyhow I started smoking again on thanksgiving and I went through a week of my worst bingeing ever. I spent $100s on food and ate until I thought my stomach would explode. After that I realized how bad my ED was and I quit smoking again and started researching what the techniques therapist use for BED. I was implementing them and it was very difficult but I was doing good for a few months and was rarely bingeing until I tried to very slowly loose weight and it triggered me the bingeing came flying back when all I tried to do was put a little less on my plate and stop eating once I felt comfortably full I wasn’t even actually dieting just lightly change my eating so maybe I could loose weight. That was about 3 months ago and it’s been weekly binges since. I keep trying to get back to where I was but I can’t. I don’t restrict anymore because that’s what used to trigger my binges but now I just eat “regular” (which is still more than I should for my height if I want to loose weight) and I binge. So now I just keep putting in more and more weight. I’m scared to weigh myself last time I did I was at 210 my biggest and now I’m assuming I’m at 230+ and I’m only 5 ft 1 so it looks much different on my body than it does on someone who is taller. The more weight I put on the worse things get. I now feel constantly uncomfortable in my body, I cry all the time because I feel so disgusting, the thoughts about my body plague me 24/7. I don’t want to see anyone who knew me before I gained this weight and when I do all I can think is they must be shocked how huge I’ve gotten. My cousins wanted to plan a beach day and i wanted to go but I won’t go because I’ll be so miserable and in my head about my body that I won’t enjoy it. I’m in my 20s I want to be carefree, enjoy my sobriety, spend time with friends, flirt with some guys and wear some cute clothes. Instead I feel miserable and ashamed and disgusted with myself 24/7 it’s exhausting. I decided I need to speak to a therapist who specializes in BED instead of trying to do this on my own. I’ve only been seeing her a few weeks but I’m hoping she can help because I’m feeling worse and worse. All I can think is if I could just loose weight and then start recovery it would be fine but dieting is what triggers my bingeing so I’m just stuck here in my body until I can progress in recovery. It feels like this vicious cycle I’m trapped in. I cry constantly, I’m trying to do things the correct way but I feel like I just keep feeling worse and I’m loosing it. Honestly just came here to vent if you read thanks for listening lol.
He is half asleep but still wants to see if his older sister might play with him. His favorite pass time is messing with her 😂
Hi! I’m 27 F and I’ve had BED since I was a kid, it was definitely a comfort thing for me and I have always struggled with it. I’ve recently started therapy for BED and even before therapy I was researching the techniques used by therapist for BED and implementing them in my life. Like eating regularly through the day, urge surfing, using CBT when the negative thought about myself come up. I was actually doing pretty good for a few months, I wasnt loosing weight because I was still eating more than I should being only 5’1, but I was rarely bingeing. Then something triggered me and I’ve been bingeing for like 2 months now. I keep breaking down and crying and hating myself because I’m trying so hard to get better but I can’t, I’m exhausted, I’m sick of constantly thinking about food and my weight and feeling ashamed of myself. I haven’t weighed myself I’m too scared but last time I did I was 210 pounds I’m assuming I’m probably at 230 pounds. Which for my height is obese, I never wanted to go on ozempic or wegovy because I’m very afraid of the side effects and I really wanted to be able to recover just with therapy. But I’m at my breaking point and I don’t think I can deal with this anymore. I’m 2 years sober from alcohol and this struggle with trying to recover from this disorder is so hard that I’m afraid it will make me relapse. It was easier to just be in my binge restrict cycle but recovery is so hard and I keep messing up and bingeing and so now instead of restricting and bingeing I’m eating “normal” which still is more than I probably should and then bingeing so I’m just gaining more and more weight. I can’t take it anymore I’m crying all the time, I don’t even want to look at myself in the mirror. I’m finally at a point where I might try the meds because I can’t keep living like this. I’m wondering what peoples experiences have been, any side effects, has it truly helped with binges? Thanks ❤️
