Got a DMCA email while using VPN

Hi all.

I got a very strange situation in my hands tonight. Today while at work, I got the DMCA email for a file I was monitoring through radarr. I assumed my VPN went down or something, but upon getting home and checking my server, it was up. I use Wireguard with ProtonVPN on Ubuntu 26.04. Another strange thing is that the download is not registered in my torrent client under any category (Completed, Pending, etc). But the log shows it was added and downloaded and media file is there and plays. Not sure what to make of this. Any suggestions?

New to private trackers. Can I stop using my VPN?

Hi all.

Old pirate here, but new in the private tracker world. I use normally use Proton, but my speeds are always handicapped by it. I got an invite to IPTorrents and was wondering if I still need to use it or is it safe to not?

Inherited 20TB of media. Need suggestions for securing and sorting it

Hi all.

My father, who was an avid media collector, passed away last year. All in all, I got around a dozen drives, most of them magnetic, adding up to 80TB in space and 20TB of actual data. They range from 18TB to 500GB and there's every type of media. I plan on honoring his legacy by using and sharing it with the world. Specially an outstanding collection of music in Spanish that he spent 10+ years putting together. But I need suggestions on what to do to organize, secure and sharing the data. Some quick facts:

  1. My father was 82 years old. He did his best, but the naming conventions are cooked. What is the best way of normalizing it so I can then share it?
  2. I have two HD enclosures, an Orico 5-bay and Soho 2-bay made for RAID0/1. I would like to use the Orico since it is worth $200. I was thinking of making a RAID, but a 10 seems to be the most popular and I don't think I have the spare space to empty 4 disks to make it. What are my options here? Should I risk leaving them as they are?
  3. Most of the disks are at half capacity, but I have two 5TB that are empty
  4. Server specs:
    1. ThinkCentre M920Q
    2. 16GB of RAM, 256 internal NVME
    3. Ubuntu 26.04 LTS
    4. Plex, Sonarr, Radarr, Seerr, etc running on containers

EDIT: Thanks all. You have given me some really good ideas. I will explore some of them avenues.

Discovered Black Jacket during Six One Indie showcase and can't stop playing

Guys, this game is great. At first glance it looks Balatry, but it has a lot of personality. The Story and mechanics are so engaging and I just love the atmosphere. Anyone else tried it? I played the demo and got it immediately.

Missed the 8. EDIT: apparently not even in the top 3. But anyways, felt very lucky drawing this and aweing the whole table by pushing my luck so far!

Hi all. Just leaving this here for prosperity.

Situation:
I recently bought two fives that I use in stereo mode for music. My use case is 80% music. However, I also have a projector that I use from time to time for movie night in the same room. Since I already spent a good chunk of money on the fives, I had given up on the idea of buying anymore Sonos products for other media. However, after doing some research I found a way to make it work.

What you'll need:
For this, you'll use something Sonos calls "Bluetooth Share". You'll find compatible devices in this link. I wanted to use the cheapest device possible, and settled on the Era 100 as it is hailed as good device for dialogue clarity. However, pretty much any Bluetooth enabled device should do: Arc Ultra Era 100 Era 100 SL Era 300 Move 2 Play Roam Roam 2 Roam SL.

What to do:
Follow the initial set up instructions as normal and place the Era in a new room. Afterwards, create a Group that includes the two rooms, one with the 2 paired Fives (mine are in Stereo) and the other where the Era is. Then, pair your TV to the Eras 100 using Bluetooth. After the media is playing, go to the Sonos app and make sure the room with the Era 100 is selected as default in the player. Then, press Devices and select the Group you created that includes both rooms. An voila, your movie is now playing in all three devices simultaneously.

Final words:
The final product is stereo between the fives, while the era always plays. Sounds great across all devices. I ran two video/audio sync tests from Youtube and there's zero delay. So, enjoy your new setup. Special thanks to /u/TheHighShowman and /u/AtomFromSonos that got me started into this rabitthole.
