Hello all,

I am getting married later this year, priest has quoted us roughly $1850AUD ($1400USD or €1200)… this is the normal rate going apparently in Australia at the moment. Am I wrong minded to think it is a bit much for a man and woman to get married under our beautiful religion it costs this much? I do not want any ill feelings or bitterness towards this, it’s just a bit of a hard gasp. I cannot make my koumbaros pay that much for my day, even though I know they would..

Our parents 20 years ago were paying donation fees of less than $300, as a koumbaro in Greece last week I offered my donation of €250 which was all the church wanted. Even then they were saying “too much”.

Perhaps I’m in the wrong here I’m not sure.. the church we plan on getting married in has housed my entire family for 60+ years, we have all been christened or had funeral services there, it’s a non negotiable.

I welcome your opinions pleae.

Recently fostered a male husky and it has been an insane journey. I have never handled or even had anything to do with a husky prior…

I have so many questions… how tf is he able to jump like a kangaroo? Do they all got Michael Jordan vertical? Why do they want to escape nonstop??? First time he escaped I had to crash tackle him in the middle of the street.. boarded the yard up since.. finds another way out..

I have a working line German Shepard who looks at him like he’s crazy, I figured since I handle and raised my GSD a husky would be fine? Nope! hats off to you owners. I have worked through the sep anxiety to a degree, and also given he is such an outwardly looking dog the escape artistry won’t change? Any other husky traits I need to be aware of? Despite this all, he’s the most beautiful boy ever.

Side note: My GSD won’t let anyone enter the house, whilst it seems he would assist a thief rob me dry. Are they all like this or is this one just too super friendly? It’s been beautiful to see the two diff breeds interact and they do seem to love eachother. Genetics are funny, he needs to sled in the snow..
