There's a lot of propaganda out there and we as a nation can't remember anything past insurgency and terrorism when we hear the word kashmir.

And ofc what's the actual situation over there aftee abrogation of article 370, pahalgam, and what about these conspiracy theories that govt sometimes knows something is gonna happen but they let it so that they can just do some appeasement politics with that.

And how is the drugs, weapons trafficking situation etc.

I honestly telling you idk jack$hit.

I am here out of pure curiosity.

It's an appeal to all the people who are actually disappointed.

Disappointed in the fact that literally everyone of the popular journalists (not the stupid TV ones) and political speakers, everyone is either spewing bull$hit or are completely ignorant about what's been going on this year with the party which we once as dumb as we were respected and chose as lesser of the evil.

The left, the right none of them matters anymore because we have understood that the cycle never breaks. We keep dividing ourselves in these artificial bounds while they enjoy taxing us to our frikkin graves. We gotta take charge. Maybe not a revolution, maybe it's not gonna matter much in the larger scheme of things but at least we will be able to take pride that we were honest and we fought for the truth. And currently the truth of the matter is that the party in power as well as the opposition doesn't give a flying f\* about us.

They think they own us.

Who even gave them that position?

We keep blaming the post of a politician while forgetting they are the reflection of the same f\*ing rotten society.

Even my late grandfather had enough skepticism left to understand the difference between a freebie and welfare until his 90s. What's wrong with these b/oody teens, millennials and the past generations?

Have they all gone mad atp.

Do you all know that our constitution doesn't grant us absolute freedom of speech? We have got something called "reasonable restrictions"—and our govt keeps exploiting those.

Govt can literally put you in jail for giving gali in public because it comes under public nuisance. If you violate any of the restrictions, they will book you under one of these specific constitutional grounds:

• Sovereignty and integrity of India
• Security of the State
• Friendly relations with foreign States
• Public order
• Decency or morality
• Contempt of court
• Defamation
• Incitement to an offense

And yeah these are the sections under which they will book you and immediately arrest you:

• Sovereignty & Secession: BNS Sec 152 (Sedition alternative) & UAPA (Anti-terror law) for breaking up India.
• Public Order & Nuisance: BNS Sec 223 (disobeying public orders) & BNS Sec 189-191 (disrupting public tranquility).
• Hate Speech: BNS Sec 196 (promoting group enmity) & BNS Sec 299 (outraging religious feelings).
• Fake News/Panic: BNS Sec 353 (spreading rumors causing public mischief).
• Decency: BNS Sec 294 for public obscenity.
• Judiciary: Contempt of Courts Act for insulting judges/the legal system.
• Reputation: BNS Sec 356 for Criminal Defamation (yes, it's a crime there).

Earlier we just assumed people to be dumb and regressive for the uproar, but now it gets deeper when lawyers have been pulling out stupid arguments in the court like the nimbu mirchi thing.

This a very hard reflection on our society and the majority's beliefs. I used to be a bjp keyboard warrier in my early teens because I didn't have that exposure to facts or say an unbiased analysis. So I know where it's all coming from.

Now after years I strongly believe that freedom of speech should be absolute(there's a lot of evolutionary evidence on that). So what's the difference between the keyboard warrier of the past and my current self? If i heard the same joke back then I would have gotten frustrated instead of just ignoring it. Frustrations are projections of strong beliefs. The second someone doesn't abide by my beliefs that's a life threat(at least on a subconscious level).

But why such stupid beliefs?

They come from societal conditioning.

This has been my argument against solely focusing on stricter punishments or SA cases. It's important but isn't it just sad that the only reason a person wouldn't commit a crime is just because he fears punishment?

That's a failure from our collective society.

Isn't it basic humanity to not hurt a fellow being?

Now you might understand the "why" of this entire thing.

People aren't "obidient" or say "sanskari" because it's good to be that way but because they fear punishment and isolation from the society.

Sry to say this but That's why Indians in GENERAL are mentally weak.

They can't be open about their opinions and can't support freedom of speech.

An atheist here but I deeply respect the beliefs of people which give them peace. Sometimes the intention to take inspiration from certain aspects of holy books like mahabharat or say bhagwat geeta is for peace and to live life in a better way but there come the interpretations. There's this thought of purity which I believe is extremely misinterpreted.

Maybe impurity means that you are in a state of life where you can't separate your biases and facts, then you will get to hear a lot of noise which doesn't really pull you out of your beliefs which are hurting you but rather push you more into them by validating them.

So let's have a discussion on this.
