Am I the only one still buying drugstore?

I swear every get ready with me I see is just people pulling out Dior, Rare Beauty, Charlotte Tilbury, Saie, Rhode meanwhile I'm standing in the drugstore staring at the Milani display like what's the hypeee. Am I the only one who still loves Milani? I feel like nobody talks about them anymore but every time I buy something from them it ends up being so good. Plus my friends who use those brands look no different, so I'm really not getting the point.

Prime Day feels like one giant advertisement

Prime Day always gets me browsing for things I've been putting off buying, whether it's cookware, baby gear or tech But over the last few years I've noticed something. There are so many products on sale from brands I've never heard of before. They'll have thousands of five star reviews, a huge discount and a countdown timer telling you to hurry but when I try to look the company up outside of Amazon it's like they barely exist. I know I'm just overly cautious but if I'm spending a few hundred dollars on cookware, a baby monitor, a car seat or even headphones or a coffee machine, I want to know the brand has been around for more than five minutes. I've been burned enough times buying cheap household products and gadgets online that looked amazing in the listing, only for them to show up feeling flimsy or stop working way sooner than expected. Now during Prime Day I spend more time researching the brand than I do looking at the discount percentage. I've been sticking with brands that actually have a reputation outside of Amazon. If I can find the same product from an established brand somewhere else for a similar price or even less, I'd rather do that than gamble on a random listing just because it has a flashy Prime Day badge. I've seen better known brands available through retailers like Rebel and after comparing prices, some of the open box deals ended up being way better than Prime Day sale. That made me realize the biggest discount isn't always the best value.
