Recommendations

I’m posting on behalf of my husband and his small construction/landscaping company. It’s a year old, and he only really started focusing primarily on it this past April. He does New builds, remodeling, decks, siding, doors, windows, roofs, and even offers handyman services, as well as yard cleanups (spring and fall). He doesn’t focus on landscaping though.

One of the questions I have, is one of his customers brought him 7 or 8 other customers, and we are trying to think of the best way to thank this customer. We want to come up with something to give back to customers that bring prospective leads, and business.

I am pretty good at coming up with ideas, but I’m completely stumped with this. I know food places give back to customers by offering great deals, but I’m not sure what a construction company can give back to a customer. I was thinking possibly a heavily discounted fall or spring clean up, but they live in an extremely nice neighborhood with well maintained lawns, flower beds, and the like. I’m not sure if that would be beneficial to them.

Anyone have any ideas?

Accommodations

I have a letter from two of my providers (psych, pcp) requesting some accommodations as I have a couple of disabilities. One of my disabilities, I have a weakened immune system so I catch literally everything that’s going around, I have some problems with my legs, swelling, severe asthma, and other things I don’t want to get too deep into.

When I received the letters, my asm was in a super foul mood so I waited until the next time I was scheduled to talk to her about it. She looked at the letters, which are just basic requesting certain accommodations, due to health issues, and she said she would have to talk to someone because they don’t seem to have enough information.

What information is needed exactly? I know legally they aren’t allowed to ask WHY, but am I missing something?

I just read something about intermittent fmla, so I’m going to look into that a little better. I just started working 3 months ago after a 3-4 year long break while navigating my physical and mental health, applying and finally receiving SSDI. I really like working here, my coworkers, and a majority of the managers, so I don’t want to end up losing my job over missing work if I can’t go in due to my health. This is the first job in years that I actually haven’t had to fight with myself to get out of bed and ready for.

I do have a really good work ethic when I’m not sick, constantly being told I’m doing awesome, offered a head cashier position, and gotten cashier of the week and month one time each respectively. I’m just already pretty high up there point wise (4.5). I’ve never had to navigate requesting accommodations, but my doctors said all they need to do is put the stuff they did on paper for me and I should be okay…

Rice or bean water as fertilizer

Has anyone used the water from rinsing rice or dried beans as fertilizer? I as a YouTube video today, of a guy who said he uses saves the water from rinsing his rice and beans, and uses it to water/fertilize his plants, and they blew up with growth. We eat a lot of rice in my house, and I was just wondering if it really is beneficial to use that. I’ve got a crown of thorns that needs some major help, and I was thinking about trying this out for it! Thanks for reading/answering and sorry if this is the wrong subreddit!

Photo of my begonia Rex for tax. I got her with only the three large leaves, and she super blew up in the spot I have her at. She’s in a south window, all day. I only have north and south windows available.

Elephant ear “lowrider” question

I have an elephant ear lowrider, that I got a couple of months ago, it needed some rehab and repotting. (First photo)

Anyway, it’s super healthy now, has put a lot of growth out since I’ve had it. I just watered it on Thursday, I generally bottom water it. I check it along with my 20+ other plants daily. I noticed this weird area on one of the original leaf stems that’s looks all crumpled in or like it has been crushed somehow (it hasn’t, it’s kept in the same spot, in a south facing window, unless it’s being watered. I only have north and south windows in my home) it’s in a normal household potting mix, with added perlite. It gets SUPERthrive vitamin solution once a week. (As do all my other plants)

What do I do about this spot on the stem(third photo)
? Should I put some support in for it? Or is it one of the leaves that is dying off?

My stitches came out???

Hi! I just had oral surgery at about 1:40pm on Wednesday. I had to have a molar removed, and it ended up causing a sinus exposure and got 5 stitches (I was told).

I was JUST in the shower and something dropped into my mouth, and my immediate thought was.. wtf is that, and gagging. I grabbed it and realized it was the stitches and did try to leave it alone, however the bulk wasn’t even in/on my tooth area anymore.

I did end up just pulling it out. What should I do now? Call my oral surgeon? He said the stitches should disintegrate after 2 weeks, and it hasn’t even been a week yet. I’m super nervous that I now potentially have a permanent hole to my sinus.

Ihaven’t brushed my teeth in 4 days like I was told (I was actually gonna brush after shower)

I haven’t eaten anything besides mushy foods.
No straws period.
I’ve even been wearing a nic patch over smoking (I’ll admit I did slip a couple of times, but considering I would normally smoke a pack to a pack and a half a day, 1-2 cigs a day really isn’t too bad unless that’s what caused the issue. I also wasn’t smoking with my mouth fully closed so I wasn’t getting a whole drag/creating a vacuum seal, if anyone understands what I mean)

Advice for credit

I work as a cashier, generally running the SCO. I’ve been there roughly two months and have a problem with pushing credit as I don’t want to appear to aggressive on top of assisting with complex carts, LISA, and GET. I’ve gotten 1 credit application in the 2 months I’ve been on the floor.

What would be the easiest way to push credit while running the SCO? Keep in mind I’m not often on a normal register, they typically have me stationed in the SCO as I can handle all 4 computers, keep track of what’s going on with the engage app, and don’t often end up with a line. (I have a couple of times, but I’ve been able to knock it down pretty quickly, I’ve only had to call for help once). I don’t want anyone to get iffy with me for suggesting credit on the sco, as

I’ve already had people purchasing penny items throw fits on me. (If I catch them I’m supposed to call a manager and manager decides to approve the sale) also don’t let a customer tell you that you HAVE to sell the penny items because it’s on the shelf, only two states have laws regarding selling items for the prices that they ring up as, and one of them is MI, all other states favor the store, penny items are typically recalled or items that have some sort of problem, and more often than not the customers just reselling the items anyway and trying to make a profit off the pricing mistake.

Anyway, please help with advice on pushing credit through the SCO. I’ve already been cashier of the month, and have gotten the best customer service experience (GET) weekly reward twice, I just really need help on driving credit.

Just got approved for a car loan, any advice?

I just got approved for a 25k car loan. I only applied for poops and giggles as I have a 2005 Honda civic EX with a failing transmission (surprisingly I posted about it back in April on a couple mechanic pages, and it’s still running off of three cylinders, we’ve put at least 4k on it since, as I’m the only driver in our home, trading this in) we also have a 2007 Honda CRV, not sure base/model. The water pump had gone out and radiator blew a crack, luckily no coolant or water leaked into the oil reservoir, I had pulled right over when my temp gauge went up. (Both have been replaced last weekend after sitting waiting for my husband to fix them for a couple months)

I’m so tired of having car problems and want to get into something decent as well as pretty new, and keep my crv as a back up for longer drives, but I’ve honestly never done a lot of research on any newer cars, as I never thought I’d get approved for a car loan. I’m sure if I needed to I could call and modify my loan and get a couple thousand more, and I definitely can just not use the whole thing. I do believe I need to stay around 2022 or older as my car insurance rates aren’t the greatest (I’m going to be looking at around 400 for a 2022 Mazda 3, this was an example) my insurance agent said add 200-300 for newer as well and subtract 100-200 for older, as well as let me know it’s cheaper to insure a Mazda, and more expensive to insure a Kia or Nissan.

What are some vehicles that are recommended? I’ve found a couple vehicles with extremely low miles, at a pretty decent price, however they all have a rebuilt title. I don’t want anything with over 80k miles especially if I would be using the whole loan amount.

TLDR: looking for recommendations on new or used vehicles falling 25k or under, can get a slightly larger loan, however, my insurance payments can go over 450, so the newest year I can get into is 2022.
I don’t want anything over 80k miles at all, but have no idea what else to look for with buying a newer used vehicle, especially with a loan, as I’ve only ever bought 2010 or older with cash, no more than 3k.

Two questions

31F 5’4 220

[Link To Photos](https://imgur.com/a/ccLeyyo) first photo is spot on right leg, second photo is abscess on left leg.

Hi, I’m here because I have two issues. I just got approved for Medicaid for Americans with disabilities today around 1pm. I’m waiting for insurance cards.

I have this red spot on the side of my right leg I’ve had it for a week and a half, it’s swollen, warm to touch, tight/lump feeling, (not like an abscess I guess). It feels almost like a sunburn, and is more painful if accidentally bumped/scraped. What is it? Urgent care, emergency room or pcp?

Second is an abcess I have maybe 2 inches below my knee, I’ve had it for about a month and a half. I went to my pcp a week after it popped when it started trailing and making other exit points. They did not incision and drain. They just prescribed me 10 days of doxycycline that didn’t really seem to do much.
I did find Prid drawing salve on Monday and have been washing and reapplying 4-5x a day, with longest straight wear overnight. It does seem to be doing better but it’s still having pus on the band aid every time I change it. Should I go back to pcp? Or just mention at urgent care/er?

What is the noise? [new hampshire]

It sounds like it’s right outside my door.
Is it a frog? A bird??

I don’t know why a frog would be outside my door, there’s no water anywhere besides the rain.

What animal noise is this [New Hampshire]

The sound is at 10 seconds, second video is at 5 seconds, I wasn’t able to catch the repetitive sounds at once. It was happening around every 5-20 seconds, same sound. (The video is going to link to Facebook reels, I wasn’t quite sure how else to get it up.)

I’m surrounded by 25 acres of woods all around the property (besides the few acres that are cleared that the house and stuff is on, and the dirt road with maybe 6 other houses on the road.
