Cosmopolis (2012)

I’m hoping this will reappear whenever the friends decide to cover Cronenberg, but having rewatched it recently, it’s scary how prescient this one is in the Kalshi/Polymarket era. I’m kind of shocked to not have found any decent pieces attempting to salvage what I think is his last masterpiece before The Shrouds. (Before any one of you beautiful, passionate people yells at me, yes, I Google’d to see if there’s a reappraisal.)

With Pattinson having an insane year, any love for this one here?

Edit: with everyone sharing a variety of faves - a lot of recent ones I need to revisit - mine are Naked Lunch and Dead Ringers

POV: you’re walking out of The Odyssey with your friend, talking about how it was way better than you expected, when one of the glass doors to the AMC shatters. Before you can finish complimenting Nolan’s craft and ambition, your friend tells you to LOOK OUT

Bravo Vince for the nuanced, thoughtful depiction of a man forced to keep his identity as a mass murderer a secret
