It's 7 am in Hyderabad and it's already freaking hot

Feels like Hyderabad has been stuck in summer the whole year. We practically skipped the rainy season this year and now it's already October and we're still getting temperatures around 38°C during the day.

It's freaking 4th October fall month btw and I genuinely feel like I'm back in March again. Even September felt unusually hot and humid, and now October is starting the same way with no rainfall.

IMD is expecting temperatures to stay above normal in Telangana this October, with rainfall also expected to be below normal. So it looks like we're not getting much of a proper transition into cooler weather anytime soon. So no rains no cold breeze. What I don't understand is how casually everyone seems to be taking it. It's 7 in the morning and I'm already sweating. Hyderabad weather really forgot what month it is. Are you guys also feeling this heat or is it just especially bad around my area?

"Oh Mother, I Can Feel the Soil Falling Over My Head" What did Morrissey truly mean?

There are songs one merely hears, and there are songs one carries like a wound.

Ever since I first listened to "I Know It's Over," one line has refused to loosen its grip upon my soul.

"Oh Mother, I can feel the soil falling over my head."

Each time those words arrive, I cannot help but picture a man lying in his own grave, not merely buried by earth, but by loneliness, rejection, and the slow surrender of hope itself. It is one of the few lyrics that has brought me to tears more than once. Yet I have often wondered whether I have misunderstood it. Was Morrissey speaking of literal death? Of depression? Of a love so impossible that it feels like a burial before life has even ended?

How do you interpret this lyric, and why do you think it endures as one of the most devastating moments in The Smiths' catalogue?

Any 2025 engineering graduates still unemployed in 2026? What are you doing now?

Anyone else from the 2025 batch feeling like they graduated at the worst possible time?

It's been a year for me and I'm still unemployed. I've applied everywhere, changed my resume more times than I can count, and still mostly get ghosted. It's honestly messing with my confidence.

If you're from the 2025 batch, what are you doing now? Did you manage to get placed? If yes, how? If not, what's your plan?

Are you upskilling, preparing for GATE/CAT, planning a master's abroad, or just taking whatever work you can find?

Just trying to see if I'm alone in this or if the market is genuinely this brutal for freshers. I'd love to hear your experience or any advice.
