3.3 Beta came out today and it turns out Pheonix is an abloomer that can make anomalies crit. With her crit rate scaling of crit rate and crit dmg increasing based on whether there's 2 or 3 anomaly agents in the team.
So Miyabi, Burnice, Pheonix?
I finally read Redundancy Vol. 3
And yeah, it might be my favourite vol so far. (Vol.12 is still number 1 tho)
My favourite moment from this vol was definitely Rudy's conversation with Aisha and Aisha's emotional turmoil in the previous chapter. Rudy's conversation with Aisha felt like Rudy was at his most vulnerable. Leaving everything about himself bare for Aisha to see.
As for Ars and Aisha relationship... Im okay with it. Aside from the age-gap, there's nothing really wrong with it in the context of Mushoku Tensei's world.
A bit of a tangent, I feel like people are too caught up in the notion of "if you think this is okay in fiction then you think its okay in real life!" When that's such a closed mineded way of consuming fictional media to begin with. I dont take their relationship as Rifujin saying "I think aunts getting with their nephews is good actually!" Instead just him telling a story, with their relationship being apart of that story.
Long tangent aside, the little brief glimpses we see of the world in the future has me so hyped and excited for the sequel series. There's so much being set up and I wonder how it will all play out.
But yeah, those are my thoughts on Redundancy Vol. 3, overrall loved this vol, but I do wish we got Aisha's POV which i hear was cut when from the web novel. Still tho, Im happy with the vol. and cant wait for vol. 4
The first time I did FSO was with HDMI, Diana and Nia and I got 2 stars. But not only did I get 3 start but a 1.2 mil score!
Playing this team reallt made the game click for me and even tho the grind can be a bit tiring, the end result is definitely worth it
I wanna build a Diana, Heidemarie and Nia deck but im not sure where to start. I really like the Diana and HDMI together and the current deck I have is far from optimised.
NOOO NANAHOSHI! Dont let Sylphie heal you! She's trying to kill you!
Mushoku Tensei has a lot of great and well-written characters. Rudeus himself of course, Paul, Roxy, etc. But one character who I initially didnt think much of but now appreciate her story is Ghislaine. Even though the series doesnt spend too much time on her, the small story moments she does have all build up to her reunion with Gyes in Redundancy Vol. 1.
Ghislaine story serves as a narrative parallel to Rudeus growth and development. And I think the reason why her reunion with Gyes hits so hard for me is because its the closest thing we'll get to Rudeus meeting his own brother back on Earth.
The accompanying illustration for their reunion is just the cherry on top. Gyes's initial suprise at how much Ghislaine has changed from the wild and unruly kid she used to be. And smile he has seeing the fine woman in front of him really is his sister.
While looking for different video, I came across this video I watched a long time back and after reading the LN. I have a much better appreciatation for it, so please give it a watch if you havent.
Im still a bit confused about why exactly >!Geese decided to work with the man god in the end. One my first read, he did explain that how it felt good for a no name like him to have a God come to him for help.!< But I feel like there's a more that I might've missed.
Ive seeing the notion that Paul actually doesnt love Zenith because he cheated on her with Lilia. And the reason why he spent so much time and energy looking for her was from a deep sense of guilt and remorse. To save his own ego and clear his consciousness as well as to make himself look as good as possible.
Now this is a gross mischaracterization of Paul is being passed around as "my own interpretation of the character after 'reading' the ligjt novels". Clearly with your eyes closed if you think Paul spent 6 years of his life just to save his ego or clear his conscience.
If the teleportation incident happened right after zenith finds out Paul slept with Lilia, then I could understand the 'guilt and remorse' point. But it didnt and any feelings of guilt or remorse Paul had for chesting on Zenith have long been resolved in the aftermath of the whole affair.
And this insistence that Paul didnt actually love Zenith because he cheated is also very dumb to me because Paul thinking with his dick is a major character flaw of his. We're told multiple times that Paul is a horn dog with how he used to be a womanizer, had a threesome with Elinalisa and Ghislaine and many other cases.
These ideas that Paul was driving by guilt, remorse, a selfish desire to save his ego and clear his conscience arent found anywhere in the light novels. Whether its written in plain text or subtext. Im not one to throw around the term, "media illiterate" but this is a clear cut case of it.
Paul is many things, a terrible person, a bad husband and a great father. For all his faults and flaws though, he was still a loving husband willing to do anything to save his wife.
Honestly thought The Thrall would be a tougher matchup but he's Nangong fodder. Im sure with some better routing and rotations, I could get at least 35k
Didnt think Reida would be this emotive when I read the LN and I really like it
I was once a devoted reader of CoTE during its year 2 arc but I decided to drop it for the time being so I could bulk read the rest of year 2 once it was done (I think I stopped reading at Y2V4). Now that the series is in Year 3 and Ive seen some light spoilers about characters like Ichinose, I was wonder how is the series story and writing wise?
IGN posted Ramielle's gameolay showcase and what I wanted to focus on was something that happens in the 39~ second mark. After doing a skill of some sort, Ramielle strikes a pose and velina switches in. When velina attacks the enemy, you can see ramielle doing off-field attacks. Then when jane switches in and attacks the enemy, she does the same.

This basically confirms my speculation that Ramielle's kit mechanical, might have something similar to lycaon's encircle prey state. Maybe if she has enough personal resource, you hold special and she enters her off-field state.

This makes sense as according to leaks, >!Ramielle wants 3 anomaly agents in the team!< But the current anomaly roster has 4 primarily sub-dps anomaly agents and 3 of them want to be played off-field. Leaving the every else as primarily on-fielders but can play a more sub-dps role if need be, some better than other tho.

So having ramielle be able to do off-field attacks make sense. However, I dont think she'll purely be an off-field sub-dps, but more of a main dps with sub-dps potential, where she can be a sub-dps for the team if need be.

Still tho, regardless of how she actually plays, I cant wait to see the full details of her kit
As the title says, I lost the 75/25 for velina's engine and I was originally planning on saving my guarantee for Ramielle's engine but once I heard that thoughtbop was Yuzuha's best engine. I knew I could kill 3 birds with one stone. Ill get thoughtbop and use it on Yuzuha, Sunna and Velina! (Not at the same time of course but whenever its available Ill use it on one of them)

I just hope Ill get enough pulls for Ramielle, her engine and the rerun banners for 3.1 by the end😭🙏
Eldreda Sunbringer's design kinda looks like Nine from Chaos Zero Nightmare. Here's hoping that she gets a giant sword as well lol.

As for Eldreda's design itself, i know there's been a lot of discourse about it. Me personally, I like it. Mainly because it reminds Nine and I really like her, but Im also a fan of these kinda designs as well. You rarely see them so its nice that we get one but I can see why people might not like it.

Much like a lot of things when it comes to ZZZ when its initially released, Ill wait and see what the devs are cooking but Im already liking the ingredients being used
Do you think we'll get a follow up of who set sarah up and who she saw in the hollow,?
I might get some details wrong so forgive but during the 2.4 story we get a glimpse at Sarah's past. We find out that she was apart of H.A.N.D and that during one of her missions her squad got wiped leaving her as the sole survivor.
During the comic scene of this moment we see a large shadow figure appear and it looks similar to colonel vike, this figure leaves her in the rubble. After being saved by the exaltists, Sarah goes back to hand only to find that all her and her teams records have been wiped.
The two main things im interested in are:
-who was it that set up sarah and her team and why.
-if the person who found sarah was colonel Vike, why did he leave sarah to basically die in the hollow?
Those two questions have been at the back of my mind ever since they happened and im wondering have we gotten any new info about Sarah's and her team. We might get some answers as to what happen to colonel vike considering everything going on with ramiel but it could be a while before that.
