New Style: Kasey Lo (but different to Kasey)

A new style has been released of Kasey Lo, which is the Kasey style but ankle height rather than knee high, but I noticed that the stitching on the upper is completely different. Not the yellow stitching, I'm talking about the pieces which make up the shoe itself.

On the standard Kasey (2nd photo) the front piece of leather which covers the toe ascends all the way up the front of the foot to the ankle, almost like a tongue, however the Kasey Lo (1st photo) instead has a different structure which almost looks like a slip on which has had the ankle piece stitched in to it.

The ankle section on the Lo is also wider, to make this a slip on rather than the Kasey original which, whilst being inherently a slip-on, still has a zip. The narrower opening gives the original Kasey a more sophisticated look. The Lo almost look like they could be Rocketdogs rather than Docs.

Why would they change this? There is plenty of space to have the same upper on the front of the foot, and also to add the zip to keep the ankle narrower.

Anyway, I don't know what I'm trying to say with this. I absolutely LOVE my Kaseys so I was very excited to see a mini version of them, but I'm a little disappointed by these. I think I would need to see them in person and try them on before I form a final opinion.

Has anyone tried them?

Beautiful City

I visited Nijmegen recently for Down the Rabbit Hole 2026, and every time I come here I love it more. Such a beautiful city. The weather was really on my side, but it's still pretty even in the rain, though luckily there wasn't any this time.

I'm looking forward to my next trip. I don't know when that will be, but I hope soon.

Water bottle (UK)

I'm looking for this specific water bottle. I bought one a few years ago in TK Maxx in the UK, then sadly lost it whilst travelling.

I've found it for sale on a couple of US sites that do branded merch and only sell in bulk, so that's not an option. I've been back to TK Maxx many times and they no longer sell it.

I just want to buy one and I'm in the UK.

AH Stroopkoeken changed size and recipe

I LOVE the AH Stroopkoeken and usually buy a bag or two every time I visit the Netherlands. However I noticed that they have changed in the last year, as can be seen in the picture. Not only are they smaller, but the texture of them has changed. They used to be harder and thinner and could be easily snapped in half. The newer ones are smaller but and have a more crumbly texture, but feel a bit more greasy. The ingredients are also slightly different. The package size of the new ones is also smaller

Is this just another example of shrinkflation?

If I buy resale tickets will I receive the official event emails?

I'm considering buying resale tickets for a festival (as they're cheaper than buying direct), but would I still receive the official event emails?

I wouldn't want to miss out on important stuff like event information, and all the emails you get in the run up.

Would I be better just getting the full price ticket? Or do resale tickets direct the event emails to me instead of the original seller?

Edit to clarify: The tickets are sold first hand on Ticketmaster, the resale would be through Ticketmaster.

I went up to London on Saturday and out of curiosity I went to the Dutch Church in London as it was hosting its own Koningsdag celebration, with a raffle, bar, and stalls selling stroopwafels, Dutch produce, as well as Dutch and Indonesian food stalls. There were lots of activities for children, and a small vrijmarkt on the pavement outside, and also games and races. The raffle winners were announced by the Dutch ambassador to the UK, Paul Huijts.

It was great to see this celebration of Dutch culture in London.
