Should I keep doing YouTube and stream once a week, or try becoming a streamer instead?

I've been doing YouTube seriously for about 3 months now, I do edited gameplays with facecam...focus on me as creator not the games, and lately I've been thinking about giving streaming another chance.I actually tried streaming on YouTube, befor the regular youtubing and one of the reasons I switched was because streaming felt MUCH harder when nobody watching.

If I got stuck on something stupid in a game, there was no audience to help me. I remember literally sitting there on stream, opening guides and trying to figure out how to progress while basically talking to myselIt felt awkward. With YouTube, I can just cut all of that out. I can get stuck for 20 minutes, figure it out, and the viewer never has to suffer through it.

But now I'm wondering if I should start streaming again at least once a week while continuing YouTube. I could play the game live, then edit those streams into my normal YouTube videos, so the edited versions basically become the proper VODfor my channel. The other option is going much harder into streaming and making that my main thing instead of YouTube. For people who have done both: **would you keep building YouTube and add one stream a week, or would you actuallybe switching your focus to streaming?**And how do you deal with those awkward moments when you're a tiny streamer with nobody watching and you get completely stuck in a game?

These new monetization rules are brutal for small creators

YouTube doubling the monetization requirements, I honestly don't know how tiny channels like myself supposed to reach them anymore. It doesnt mean Ill qui t but.....sure made me feel weird....even tho I do it for fun but getting monitized would be awesome

I dont know how to do viral content I just enjoy the way of making my own vids the calm way without that marathon rush for attention.
I just wanna sayCheck out each other's channels. If you genuinely like someone's content, watch it. Leave a comment. Subscribe if you actually want to see more. And let them do the same

Not "I subscribed, now subscribe back." More like small creators actually giving other small creators a chance instead of everyone shouting into the void.

Because with these new requirements… damn. We could use the help. 😭

I’m m a new gaming channel 3 months ago would love to introduce it :)

Hello I’m a little shy .. but I’d like to say that I started my YouTube channel MARRIR about three months ago, and since weekend self-promo is allowed, I thought I’d introduce myself. 😁
I make edited playthroughs with facecam.i cut unnecessary downtime and boring parts, but keep the story, exploration and reactions so it still you’re experiencing the full game with me.
So far I’ve played Dispatch, High on Life, Resident Evil 7 & 8, Crimson Desert, BioShock Infinite, Poppy Playtime Chapters 1 & 2, and some smaller indie/horror games.
There’s still A LOT I want to play. And I will play I’m planning the first two BioShock games, more Poppy Playtime, a video about my adventures in No Man’s Sky, more indie horror and plenty of other games. I usually upload every 3–4 days, so I’m slowly building up a proper library.
The channel is still small, but I’d really like to eventually build a little community around it. If you enjoy discovering smaller creators and want to give mine a chance, you’re very welcome to join me while I’m still at the beginning. 😁
You can search MARRIR on YouTube, or the link is in my Reddit bio. 🙈

Hope It’s Okay to Share My Channel Here

Hey everyone! 👋
I’m a new creator who makes edited playthroughs focused on the story and reactions rather than showing every minute of grinding. I started YouTube as a hobby and it gives me the passion to play all the random games I never touched before and now I share my reactions on my Chanel I’m having a lot of fun learning and improving with every upload.
Playing with face cam too.
If you’re looking for a new creator to watch, I’d really appreciate it if you gave my channel a chance. Feedback is always welcome too!
Thanks, and I hope you enjoy it. ❤️

Which thumbnail concept is more clickable for a story-driven game finale?

https://preview.redd.it/1j1n6mac2ifh1.png?width=802&format=png&auto=webp&s=152767acc0b364d8c674f79a0483474d49cb6035

I'm making the thumbnail for the final episode of my Dispatch playthrough and I'm torn between a few ideas considering putting two choice buttons at the bottom. (My whole series have the choice buttons so the yhing i cant decide is what to put in them)

Some ideas are:

  • Villain | Hero
  • Good Ending | Bad Ending
  • Kill | Spare

I'm leaning toward Villain | Hero because it fits the split-face concept and doesn't immediately spoil the final choice, but I'm worried it might be too abstract.

Which version would make you more likely to click?

I just discovered YouTube's AI thumbnail generator.

https://preview.redd.it/cukxbwfoh8eh1.png?width=878&format=png&auto=webp&s=b045684bafc876e80c59f0b101007599d7392539

It got me curious, so I wanted to ask what you think. Which thumbnail would you click? The one I originally made or one of YouTube's AI suggestions?I'm probably going to stick with my own design because it matches the style of the rest of my series, but I was surprised by how decent the AI versions were. I'm leaning toward keeping my own because I want my thumbnails to have a consistent style across the series, but I have to admit the AI versions aren't terrible. BUT... A lot of creators have similar styles i noticed

My latest Short just passed 17k views, but almost nobody clicked through to my long-form videos.

I’ve only been on YouTube for about 3 months, so this is by far my biggest Short. I’m obviously happy about it, but I was expecting at least a few people to check out my full gameplay videos afterward.
Instead, the Short keeps growing, but my long-form views barely changed.
Is this just how Shorts work? Have any of you had a Short blow up first, and only later start bringing viewers to your longer content? Or do they usually stay completely separate audiences? Also I’m genuinely shocked and the number continues to grow while I write this post and I don’t know if to upload my next short or let this one stay for longer.
It feels this can’t ever happen again I was stuck in 1,7 k views max in shorts sometimes 2k never more

Looking for an ASA PvP Cluster with Offline Raid Protection

Hi everyone!
My friend and I are looking for a new **ARK: Survival Ascended PvP cluster** with **Offline Raid Protection (ORP)**.
We’re looking for:
✅ Offline Raid Protection
✅ 5x+ harvesting (higher rates are welcome)
✅ Active community
✅ Stable server with long-term support
✅ Preferably a full cluster with multiple maps
We used to play on the **Cosmos Cluster**, but unfortunately it no longer exists, so we’re searching for a new home.
If you know any good ORP clusters or own one, please let me know. We’d really appreciate any recommendations!
Thanks! 😊

A couple of questions about editing Dispatch playthroughs

I'm editing my Dispatch playthrough and I'm not sure where to draw the line.I already cut things like menu navigation, repeated gameplay, walking around, and other obvious downtime. What I'm unsure about is the dialogue scenes. If there's a long pause between characters, or a scene where I'm not reacting much because I'm just listening, would you leave it as the game intended, or trim those slower moments to improve pacing? One thing I'm also think about is that people who've already played the game often skip through dialogue or slower scenes when watching another playthrough. Should I take that into account when editing, or should I leave the story pacing intact and let viewers skip if they want?I also have another question for creators who've uploaded Dispatch to YouTube. Did you enable the game's **streamer/censorship mode** for the whole series, or did you leave it off and just censor the occasional nudity yourself in editing? I'm not worried about the swearing—just the nudity. I'd rather keep the original experience if possible, but I also don't want to run into YouTube issues later. I'd love to hear how you approached both the editing and the YouTube side of things

Would you watch another High on Life playthrough in 2026?

I finally got around to playing it and ended up making an edited playthrough instead of a traditional let's play. I cut out a lot of the downtime and focused mostly on the story, reactions, and the weird conversations.
I'm genuinely interested because I enjoy making this kind of content and I'd love to know what longtime High on Life fans actually think.

Why isn't my YouTube channel description showing up on my channel page?

https://preview.redd.it/zavaw0qv4uah1.png?width=614&format=png&auto=webp&s=8f046f950266d746dd47650b3bdc915cd3376ce8

when I visit my channel page, none of it appears under my channel name. It just shows my handle, subscriber count, and links.

I've already saved the description, and I even waited a while in case it needed time to update.

Is there a character limit, a bug, or some setting I'm missing?
