Running vest 5l vs 12l

Hello, I am looking into getting a vest(currently on the Salomon ADV skin) and I am in between the 5l and the 12l. So let me explain my current situation: I need the vest for my long runs and since I dont have a car I travel with a bus and/or a train to get to my long run destination, so have some nicer smelling clothes in the back and some extra nutrition/powerbank/cables in the back. I also sometimes do a long run in a way where I leave the day before to go to a mountain hut and sleep a night there and embark on a run in the morning. I also often hear that the 12l(Salomon one) is even good when not filled to the brim, that would be good because sometimes I just carry for the grocery bags in the back(village life ftw)

Gels vs Drinks?

Which one do you prefer in which scenario? Depening on time/flavour/price/types of water container.
As for myself, right now: gels + clean water, only on long runs
When I used to do sprint kayaking: Drinks since we used hard bottles which are easier to clean

Pain in the bottom of my foot (lateral arch area) when load is on the front of the foot

Other notes:

-goes away after a few minutes, but sometimes comes back when I do a wierd step

-I do a lot uphill running where I am on my toes the whole time

-tried massaging it but it didnt help

-as mentioned it hurts the most at the part of the stride where I push off the ground and the load is on the front of the foot

-tends to be worse on harder surfaces

Demanovska dolina

Need skyrunning shoes reccomendations (20k)

I am looking for shoes that can handle competitve level skyrunning, extremly technical fast downhills(also help with sizing would be appreciated).

My current shoes and what I like about them:
Hoka Speedgoat 6 - bad energy return but I love the fit and the grip but they lack groundfeel
La Sportiva Prodigio Pro(size 45,5) - very good overall but lack groundfeel and the fit is not that great comapared the the sg 6's

My current top conteders in no particular order are:
Merrell MTL long sky 2 matryx
Nnormal Kjerag 01
Nnormal Kjerag 02

if you know other good options I'm eager to hear about them

How should I structure my running workouts with doms from eccentric gym workouts?

Should I wait until the doms dissipates before doing threshold/strength workouts, ergo is there any overlap that I should be vary about. I tried looking on pubmed for articles about doms and alll seem to be unsure about the mechanism causing doms. Otherwise when doing easy runs the 'soreness' seems to magically go away for the duration of the workout.

Prodigio Pro to Merrell MTL long sky 2

Currently running my technical trails in the PP's but I dont think they are as good as they were advertised on this subreddit, I think the biggest problem for me is the fit of the shoe, definitely doesnt feel like something I would consider to be the peak of technical shoes. So I'm asking if anyone has tried both of these, how does the long sky 2 compare?

Training plans....

What websites/other tricks can you reccomend to someone looking for a traininng plan with specialization for skyrunning, would be great if the plan was flexible lets say if I wanted to focus more on threshold, I was looking into it but im very lost, any help is appreciated.

Increase load linearly or logarithmically

Hello, I'm just wandering if I sould keep increasing my load by the same amount or is there a limit, I approximate my load like this: 1km - 1 point and 100m gain - 1 point, or is there an even better way to train or calculate load?

I’m the kind of person who enjoys music even on runs with beautiful scenery, so when I tell that I had to put my headphones down as to not overwhelm myself you know im serious about that shit :)

Upfront I wanna say that I dont have that many photos since I was in kind of a time crunch and had to hurry

The trail starts off in a beautiful canyonous valley with tons of technical terrain and running on a dried out river bed(hikers in the photo were the only ones I met during the whole length of the valley on SATURDAY) the trail kind of mellows out and then jumps right back at the end of the valley with some easy scrambling and ladders

Now here starts the fun part, probably the worst climb of the whole trail on a forestry path while the sun is frying you because you brought a merino shirt like dumbass, on the top of the climb you will be rewarded with an absolutely wonderful view, dont let this fool you, the downhill is absolutely brutal

The third and final part is another canyon with historical sawmills and way milder trails, this does in fact attract a lot of tourists and becomes kind of a contrast to the first two parts of the trail, at this point the trail doesnt run directly through the valley but rather on the side on an old agricultural road but there are many viewpoints where you can observe the canyonous nature of the valley..

Finally you are at the opening of the valley and you have two options: enjoy the overpriced beer and food or run the loop back for some more wonderful views

For anyone interested:
First valley: Prosiecka dolina
Second valley: Kvačianska dolina
Hill inbetween: Prosečné (green trail)
For me it ended up being 22k +1100 but I did a bit longer loop, I can provide the GPX if you cant find it on a map :)
