I kinda wish to see Sasaki letting loose sometime(him being depicted as a scary tall guy would be cool if him could show his true strenght in a brawl)

Like, from all the scenes where some braindead a-hole is harassing Yamada, Sasaki pretty much always shows up in time to save her(a rare exception that I just find out minutes later is that Obata also saved her and carried a dude like it was nothing, dude's a gentle giant so it's expected), but I really wish we could see Sasaki throwing hands for real, even when he was younger he has just something on his eye and expression that screams(do not push this guy to an edge)

This song by The Velvet Underground honestly makes me think of their relationship so much

From my post of bands that Yamada probably listens to, I forgot to include The Velvet Underground, their NY ugly and suburban approach to factory/industrial life and the way they're able to create that even in the ugliness of a grey and corporate world, the most beautiful thing is the genuine connection between two peoples, with one side being way more tired than the other(Sasaki) and the people who's sing the song(Yamada) becomes the reflection of the best aspects of such tired and lonely person.

How do you think their reconcilation will happen?

I made a list of steps that need to happen in order for their making up be so rewarding:

1° Sasaki needs to see Noma in the S Market and Yamada witness from a far that Sasaki knows him and even tho Noma is a dead serious and pretty much pan faced guy, with Sasaki we can see a small break of the stoic work professional facade of Noma bc Sasaki is just that different on bringing such light to people(and that pretty much making Yamada freak tf out in silence)

2° Sasaki talking to Goto and Oono, Goto saying that Yamada even tho doing her job as usual and all, clearly is deeply affected and lifeless by look and attitude, but Oono stepping in and saying that, if Sasaki plans to properly approach her again, he has to upon tough love on her, Oono was in the position Yamada is right now mentally, and Oono clearly regrets not embracing the moment to fulfill and stay with the officer guy she ended up falling in love, but dude never returned bc she never once speak how she truly felt, so Oono will make Sasaki understand that, that Yamada has to learn how to deal properly with criticisms, they being valid or not and for her to stop repressing her emotions, we see that almost going real bad on closing park mini arc where Sasaki finds her hiding and crying in her old spot of her teenage years and him bringing her back safely.

3° Sasaki being distant or just passing by her, not being dickish or rude, but just respectfully keeping a distance and not wanting to talk or smoke, Yamada needs to feel first handed the consequence of what she has done on wanting him to go away and how deeply hurt he is.

4° We see more of the past of both characters, Sasaki and Yamada's teenage years and more specifically, Sasaki's college years and his brief relationship with the senpai who made him start smoking and who can possibly be the one who said that wished it never met him and ofc, we finally understand what happened between Tayama and Noma in the past.

5° Yamada making amends with Noma first and Noma being a important tool in the reconciliation between Sasaki and Yamada

6° The apology obviously has to come first from Yamada and she showing and being cool that, if Sasaki doesn't want anything to do with her anymore, not talking, showing up in the market or smoking, she's fine with it, Yamada going directly to him with apologies but not wanting immediately him to jump back to her and things return to be the usual and Sasaki acknowledging that, that she came without expecting something in return from him with that and him saying that it's all cool, but to let them to do small steps together in order to things develop further and return how it used to be till both of them can properly have the courage and closeness to see each other not only being restricted behind the market, but outside of it.

Sasaki's love for rice cake makes so much thematic sense once you know the meaning of Tayama/Yamada's name

I really found out this detail to be so cute that what Sasaki loves the most is rice, therefore, literally her.

Based on Yamada's personality, what type of music and bands she probably listens to?

My picks to what she listens is:

•The Smiths: I mean, a lot of their lyrics are funny/ironical sharp criticism about working class life, so yeah, The Smiths definitely fit her vibe.

•Oasis: Same thing as The Smiths sometimes, but not nearly as sharp and intelligent, just louder and more rockish.

•Mazzy Star: I mean, c'mon, Hope Sandoval is probably her music idol

•Sex Pistols: She's a bit of an anarchist herself, so the pistols fit too

•Blondie: Debbie Harry was probably a canon event for her alternative and cool looks

•Patti Smith: Same as Blondie, but with more intelligent poetry and overall freedom and cool down vibe.

•Aerosmith: She's a rocker at heart too, so no better band to show this rock n roll attitude than Aerosmith.

•Bjork: Sasaki claimed that what she was listening was a very calming music and Bjork's more pop/ethereal songs definitely fit the vibe of Yamada/Tayama.

Who is your favorite character and why?

Mine is definitely my boy Sasaki, it's so refreshing to see just a regular dude being such a compelling protagonist in an adult story and slice of life out of all genres, his loneliness, kindness and perspective on life genuinely resonate with me, even tho he's a bit of fuck up in regards to flirting or getting hints at anything, he's still a very attentive and empathetic individual that is able to bring such life and warmth to almost everyone he comes across, I fucking admire this dude forever!

I swear to God if we ever see Sasaki smoking bubbles cigarettes toy, they will effectively throw the punchline behind his voice actor lmfao

I was really happy when I came to know that Sasaki shares the same voice actor as Caesar, considering how damn much Caesar is a ladies man and Sasaki a complete fuck up in regards to flirting lmfao

u/MarvDStrummer — 19 days ago

That's pretty much Sasaki after getting into listen to more music thanks to Tayama(no one can't tell me otherwise that this is the song Sasaki listens in a daily basis lmfao)

We all are this song, specially our boy Sasaki lol

Why do I feel Noma is actually a very chill guy?

Yeah that the guy was only introduced 3 chapters ago but, from the way Tayama acts, I don't think particularly think he is her Ex, considering the very hard and reasonably conflicted relationship Tayama has with mans that aren't Sasaki or work colleagues that she can feel comfortable enough to talk(Oba), and from everything that we see from Noma, the dude just seems to be very methodic and dead serious about job, even tho he's not particularly happy with it as he said, ofc that we can't throw away the possibility that yeah, he is Tayama's ex bf and their break up was probably ugly, but, to me, the dude just seems to be at peace and not held any type of resentment or hard feelings for her, I see him more of a Senpai that Tayama admired and idolized in the past, where she probably did something so stupid or disappointed him so bad that the guy either leave or was transfered, i still don't buy the ex bf thing bc of the reaction of all the other veterans in the S Market in regards to Noma, they don't seem to be like: Oh-uh, Yamada"s ex is back in town, even tho the old lady didn't bother and didn't need to know what was the deal between them.

But what I think Noma is important for Tayama's character is, I think he is responsible for the Tayama Persona came to be, considering how Tayama's expressions and way to approach people is something kinda reminiscent of the way that Noma is dead serious of focused, like a way of Tayama idolizing a second idol in her life besides Sasaki, who made her start smoking in the first place.

But so far from what I see from the guy, he seems chill and completely professional, the antagonistic aura surrounding him is more on Tayama's side.

What is in your opinion, the single best 3 album run? Mine is definitely this one(and easily the most revolutionary one)

The only bands or artists I can see becoming closer to be this consistent and innovative with a 3 album run like TVU is either The Beatles(the top dogs with Rubber Soul/Revolver/Sgt Peppers) and Black Sabbath with Self Titled/Paranoid/Master Of Reality, those are classics that are also revolutionary pieces of art.

Now, as for my personal preferences besides TVU:

•The Rolling Stones: Let It Bleed/Sticky Fingers/Exile Main On St.

•Nico: Chelsea Girls/The Marble Index/Desertshore

•The Smiths: Meat Is Murder/The Queen Is Dead/Strangeways Here We Come

•Prince: Controversy/1999/Purple Rain

•The Cure: Seventeen Seconds/Faith/Pornography

Following my post about what if John played at Super Bowl, what if the band performed all together?(More specifically in the 90s and I dare to say, right after MJ's 93 halftime show)

If John was alive during the 90s, BOY, just imagine: Anthology being released, a small tour promoting this shit with the ending being at Super Bowl.

The setlist would ofc be of 4 songs, 1 Lennon, 1 McCartney, 1 Harrison and 1 Lennon/McCartney song, in my mind, the perfect songs would be:

•Paul: Hey Jude(couldn't be another)

•Here Comes The Sun(the whole stage vibing and happy)

•John: He's tough bc I think either Come Together or A Hard Day's Night would be THE ROCKERS to make the whole crowd to bang their heads, but i take A Hard Day's Night purely bc of Working Class Love lyric and how that would cheer the stadium.

Lennon/McCartney: I Want To Hold Your Hand(The song that exploded in the US and made The Beatles a cultural phenomenon across the globe, it would be poetic!)

It would open with AHDN>HCTS>HJ>IWTHYH

What do u guys think?

If John could have performed at Super Bowl, what would be the setlist?

Paul played 4 songs on his performance: Drive My Car/Get Back/Live And Let Die/Hey Jude, kinda odd choices the first three, but ending with his most crowd cheering song is to be expected.

As for John, in my mind his setlist would be 50/50 perfectly between Beatles & Solo: Imagine/Give Peace A Chance/Come Together/All You Need Is Love

These 4 are probably his most crowd cheering and hype songs to play at live and a older John Lennon performing that on that Super Bowl Halftime Show would easily be THE GREATEST performance on this Halftime show.

Does someone know what's the name of the song that plays on this scene?

I know Yamaoka did all the soundtrack for Correctness, but that scene in particular of Sumio and Ayame's dialogue is so peaceful and relaxing that I couldn't find in the OST (or I'm just stupid) can someone tell me what's the track name?

What is the best musical performance of a Beatle individually on a track of the other Beatle?

What I mean is, what's John's best rhythm guitar performance on a Paul song, What is Paul's best bass, piano or whatever tf he was playing on a John or George track, what's George's best performance of his guitar, acoustic guitar or sitar on a song by the other Beatles and as for Ringo, what songs entirely by one Beatle has his best performance.

My picks would be:

•John:

-Paul: All My Loving(His strumming guitar is what makes this song so freaking damn memorable and one of the greatest highlights of the Beatlemania)

-George: For You Blue(that steel guitar, even tho very simple and shy, gives it a very charming and welcoming feeling to the song)

-Ringo: Octopus Garden(So many people praise only George's guitar, but John's playing there is unapologetically melodic and hard AF too)

•Paul:

-John: Strawberry Fields Forever(the fucking iconic mellotron intro is his, so ofc it takes the cake)

-George: Long Long Long(I could say the bass on Something, but idk dude, it's Paul's cosy and lo-fi esque organ on that track that helps it so much to became so damn immersive)

-Ringo: Octopus Garden(THAT FUCKING PIANO THO)

•George:

-John: I Want You(She's So Heavy): Their absolute magnum opus as the most innovative guitarists of the 60s, that bluesy noise shit and layers are the begining of Doom Metal and George's guitar, My God

-Paul: Let It Be(Without that solo, this song doesn't land, it needed that solo perfect solo to it's grandiose feeling and George nailed it, even tho it was hell to made such incredible solo)

-Ringo: Octopus Garden(George going unapologetically hard on the riff and solo just to piss Paul off)

•Ringo:

-John: She Said She Said(THE FUCKING TIME ON THIS TRACK)

-Paul: Paperback Writer(Probably his most fun performance to play)

-George: Something(That marching sound feeling he gives like the drum is a heartbeat stays on my mind forever)

Are Sumio and Garcian pretty much the same project/vessel for something far more eerie and disturbing for the Elbow?

Sumio and Garcian have quite the same disturbing and tragic origin, Garcian also walks through the majority of K7 with a Case and Edo seems to know who Garcian is, that comes to spoilers from FSR: >!Step probably is a clone of Garcian/Emir on Lospass Island, but probably way more unstable and able to have some individuality with himself, a character that is way more free than Garcian, but in the downside, lives on the run or is constant unstable, even tho not nearly as dangerous as Emir Parkreiner, Step also pretty much damn explodes(just like the heaven smiles) when Kushimizu freezes him in order to know what's his deal after Sumio's brief death, also, by the end of FSR, Sundance Shot tells Sumio to give the memories of all the other 16 Sumio's to Step, bc he is the one who has to give continuity to everything with the Elbow's plans, but, that makes even more confusing bc, Emir has no fucking happy ending on K7, he becomes an obedient hollow shell for Harman's twisted games with Kun Lan and the heaven smiles, whereas Sumio after the events of FSR, stayed on the ghost town that now is the 24th ward and pretty much is hollow just as Emir, but feels like a wandering ghosts solving crimes, nothing more, nothing less, so, it's implied that Kun Lan probably was behind even at Kamui's murder conception to be a A tool to manipulate and control the population of the wards?!<

And yeah, I do think Sumio's story is still not over and Suda most likely has bigger plans to him, Travis's arc is completely and Garcian doesn't need more bc his story is also complete on K7.

Did any of the band members ever give an opinion on Throbbing Gristle?

I've always wondered what members of the Velvet thought about the second band I think it's close(or at least almost there) as adventurous, dangerous and transgressor as tvu was back in their days like Throbbing Gristle, Genesis had that same sentimentalism, Burroughs-esque/Gender identity poetry with her like Lou, whereas Tutti was like a Techno/Electronic Nico fusioned with Cale in one being.

I know Tutti was really big big fan of Nico(with Desertshore being her favorite album ever).

But, did any of the members express something about TG?

Why do I feel The Fool On The Hill is Paul's take on Nowhere Man?

The two characters are almost similar, the difference being that: Nowhere Man is invisible, he only exists on his own world, mind and reality, The Fool On The Hill is a real person that wishes to be invisible, but is at peace that's not entirely possible and just actively choose to not give or give two shits for peoples opinion, being in a certain topic or about him, he's a watcher/observer by choice that could give an opinion but doesn't want to, Nowhere Man comes more as pathetic and slackish for not even being able to tell anything that isn't in his own land.

I never stopped to think how both songs, even tho Sonicly different from each other, kinda carries the same theme of introspection.
