Is it possible that the chamaar castes of especially north and north west india were most likely higher caste in past?

Like I imagine it this way

At some point in time beef was not taboo and so these caste people would've had enjoyed a status of a vaishya in pre taboo era but as gradually beef became taboo so did these castes went down the social ladder

As they also have significant steppe component compared to other castes

This is just my speculation nothing else correct me in comments if I'm wrong

Can india ever fully modernize?

Hear me out india couldn't have its own enlightenment age due to some reasons can anyone explain on that bit was it lack of a severe depoplutaton event or was it colonialism

It kinda saddenes me that how far behind the country is lagging be it strict endogamy and feudalism in majority of country or corruption

I am basically asking what went wrong in case of India which failed to modernize or westernize arrange marriage still dominates honor killings still take place at large even in cities joint family still is norm so is protien defecency and fanaticsm will indian society ever modernize? Not to mention the failure of education system

Also even if it modernize it will at what cost will there be a full blown civil war which will lead to like more than half of population gone which would be disturbing as in nuclear age and our neighbours like China and pak or it will stay status quo till the end of world

Also this post is kinda a rant/vent

Is the steppe ancestry in almost all dalit groups other than nw is largely female mediated?

Like no stupid question it's a genuine doubt if not

Why some people claim that Dalits were born from a steppe mother and aasi father?

Please don't ban me

what is the history and origns of mahar caste?

what else is known of the mahar caste other than them being orignal inhabitants (if they are reaally)

if yes then why do diffrent subcastes have thier diffrent orign story and strict subcaste endogamy (assuming all the stories are fabricated) not to mention such stories have ancient roots

also when in history we find first mention of a word or a caste named mahar

any academically acclaimed response by anyone is ok

My take on the kashmir issue please note it's just my opinion and not a fact

Kashmir issue has always been a sensitive topic in indias national security

Imo the kashmir issue actually began when indo pakistan war of 48 ended as it was then when pok was formed

Had india finished the war in that time even if had lasted a longer and costed more of our brave lives pok would've never existed the un mediated ceasefire just prolonged the conflict for decades which continues to This day

Also after 1962 indo china war india practically lost all of its hope for pok as the Chinese defacto entered the Pakistani camp which became more worse for us after they became a bigger power in the world

Even currently the Chinese would never allow a pok re meger into india as even in real time people of gilgit might not be that Pakistani friendly but as chinese have a belt and road initiative there's nothing that can be done

Now there is no way india should ever think of giving kashmir to pak that's definitely dumbest move one can think we must remember that pakistan was formed to eliminate not just hindus but Indians in general basically all the non Punjabis as somewhere the aryan supremacy which the British engrained still sits deep in them plus then they'd also stir up the dead khalistan movement and claim that delhi was part of greater punjab and domino effect continues into up and Rajasthan claiming the Mughal Heritage which they secretly admire

Now unfortunately the truth is india ain't gonna getting pok anytime soon (for cok much longer time) the any chance india had was before 62 and Kashmir will continue to be a hot topic for decades to come I hope it ends soon

Id like to know your opinions

(ps:i ain't anti national)

What was the indian subcontinent climate during little ice age which lasted roughly from 1400s-1800s

Like was there any potential/recorded snowfall in places which aren't exactly known for snowfall but cold climate or a very noticeable frost which would've covered the ground

You know places like ooty mahableshwar anamudi sialkot pathankot mount abu gorakh hill etc

Like free mixing of individuals rather than strict endogamy

If yes how exactly it worked ie was there pratililoma and anuloma concept back then

Also for how long this 'window' lasted?

If any experts here id like to have their detailed opinion

Also lastly was this the time when things like kamasutra were composed/made? As weakning of feadulism might be sign of sexual liberty
