review of purplish lippies (fwee)

since my last post got a bit of traction I think it's only fair if I do a review for another brand

[blurry pudding pot]

RD02 Mule - ok idk what made me think this is a purple but it is most definitely not, this one is not for those who can't tolerate saturation

RD05 Greedy - reddish plum, a bit too red but not as bad as I thought. the only thing I have against it (more like the only thing I have against matte products in general) is that it's hard to adjust how intensely the pigment goes on your lips for matte lippies, so unless it's an exact color match I don't think I'll be reaching for them

MV03 Baddie - nice berry-purple color, a tiny bit too saturated tho so I needed to be careful with how much I applied to my skin. same issue with greedy
also can fwee stop calling this shade mauve, this is most definitely NOT mauve

MV05 Boss - same thing with baddie, ig I prefer this over it tho bc with some heroic trial and error, it became a great plum-ish color

[3D voluming gloss]

Taro 70% - good job fwee. similar shade to rom&nd grapy way except that this has cooler undertones and is less prone to oxidation.

Currant 30%/70% - more reddish than taro, I like these but I still prefer taro

Cherry Cola 30%/70% - my bad for thinking this is purple (again), but this most definitely isn't. I think I can tolerate 30% but 70% is a big no.

[3D voluming tint]

10 Cherry Dip - surprisingly less reddish than I imagined from the product name, and it's also surprisingly fairly sheer! however it isn't as colorfast as I thought and ts is pretty expensive for a lip tint

11 Plum Dip - color wise, cooler than cherry dip but sheer enough to fit my saturation preferences. otherwise same issues as cherry dip

[smoothie lip balm]

GC03 Plum Mocha/BC03 Acai Blueberry - the colors aren't bad, it's just that these are freaking expensive for like what? a lip balm?

easiest chopin etudes?

(after 11 years of having a tutor my family unfortunately cannot continue due to financial constraints, so I'm self-learning)

For some reason I have never touched the chopin etudes in the duration of my piano tutelage. In the past week, I've practiced 10/5 enough to play it from memory. Aside from perfecting said piece, which I will obviously do, what are some etudes I should be playing next?

(for the record I think the most difficult piece I've pulled off successfully is ravel's toccata from le tombeau de couperin, so I think I can tolerate a fairly advanced set of techniques)

review of purplish lippies (rom&nd)

(I was dumb enough to forget taking swatches so I'll be yapping about my experience with them. I apologize)

for reference, I'm a cool winter

[the juicy lasting tint]

03 bare grape - essentially a nudy pink beige (not really a grape), I found this too warm for me

04 fig fig - mlbb reddish purple is the best description, not my favorite

15 bare fig - I feel like this is cooler than fig fig which is why I like it more

16 plum coke - very cool color, but def very saturated and on the reddish side of things. better for true or deep winters

20 juju fig - def not for the cool winters, this is def neutral at best

21 grape bomb - the opposite of bare grape, more like a hot purple-pink. while the color is technically within my color palette, this was way too saturated for my liking

[glasting color gloss]

04 grapy way - def more purple compared to bare grape, but still on the beige side. pretty color tho, best product in this review including the color payoff and the texture

05 dim mauve - not bad at all, it's just that other brands (looking at you, heart percent) have better mauves imo

S05 grape sparkle - grapy way but make it sparkly! also great

[glasting melting balm]

07 mauve whip - same issue with dim mauve, also I find the formula too emollient for a lip product

[sheer tinted stick]

06 in vinery - reddish purple, I prefer this over the glasting melting balms. I wish this could be a bit cooler but I would rather complain about how rom&nd is phasing this product out like??

[juicy flash lip oil]

06 grape fig / 08 raspberry syrup - I really don't get the hype over this, both colors ended up swatching similarly and the application gets messy. imo the glasting color gloss suffices

toner recs for oily dehydrated-sensitive skin?

I've been using the anua heartleaf 77+ toner and while it is very good at soothing my skin I find it a bit sticky after application, so now I'm looking for alternatives

moisturizer recs?

I have insanely oily, acne-prone, sensitive skin and I can't tolerate any occlusive creams lest they contribute to breakouts, but at the same time I learned that without moisturizers my face gets as oily as a glazed donut. Do yall have any recommendations for lightweight gel/gel cream moisturizers?

I live in Japan btw and imo jbeauty in general is nawt built for oily skin

how fixed is the y-ll pronunciation distinction in spoken Spanish?

My Spanish professor deducted points from my exam because I pronounced llamo as "jamo" and construye as "construye." According to him, I need to stick to either 1) pronouncing y and ll like the English "j" or 2) pronouncing the y as "y" and the ll like the word "million."

However, my textbook says that if I pronounce y as either "j" or "y" and ll as either "j" or with the voiced palatal fricative then I'm pretty much fine. I'm confused: is it unnatural in spoken Spanish to have the ll sound like "j" and the y sound like "y"? Do certain ways of pronouncing y and ll go together?
