What are some of the best niche mods you have ever found?

Some of mine:

Idle Suppression LITE by Alex Nares.
Literally the BEST environment mod I have seen. It's like each unit on the map has suppression, but it's only visual. Your soldiers and the aliens will be firing at each other whenever they can, which makes the gunfights look more like actual battles and less like hide'n'seek. You can set up how many units can fire simultaneously, hence the "LITE" in the name (the original made EVERY UNIT ON THE MAP shoot and leave firing decals, which made everything reeeally slow and REALLY LOUD).

Silence the Witnesses by ReshiKillim.
A mod that allows killing civilians. Really helped me out, since those damn ADVENT civilians kept getting in my way when I was trying to sneak through a map's corner. It didn't break concealment, and sometimes it could give XCOM an Ability Point, which was a great deal.

Tactical Options by o_siyeza.
It's all the things that make your life easier in one mod. EVAC all, overwatch all, hunker down all, VIPs can carry, Gremlins can remotely pick up loot, and much more nice stuff. Less fluff, more sense.

I should also mention mods from creators like Knox and Udaya.

Knox made a lot of great proficiencies, which really fill the roster of already existing proficiency classes, making almost every soldier you'll have a unique class. If not for him, I would have never found out about proficiencies and moved on to something else, like Amalgamations or RPGO.

Udaya made a lot of small improvements to vanilla stuff, while also making a fair amount of new scripts. Missions, SITREPs, abilities... It's all there, fun-friendly and player-friendly. Highly recommend for boosting your strength and variety!

I made a new timeline, where Ahsoka accepts Maul's offer.

THE CONCORDANCE

The fate of the galaxy changed with a single decision during the Siege of Mandalore. When Darth Maul offered Ahsoka Tano an alliance, she agreed. From that moment onward, history unfolded much as it always had...

Order 66 took place, the Empire was created, and as Ahsoka split ways with Captain Rex, she and Maul continued on with their adventures. Years later, Ahsoka encountered the growing Rebel movement, known as the Ghost Crew, exactly as she had before. Only this time, she did not stand alone. Maul remained at her side, no longer pursuing power for its own sake, but waging his own relentless war against the Empire that had stolen everything from them both. Kanan Jarrus and Sabine Wren joined this duo, which had now evolved into a full-on squad.

Ahsoka, Maul, and Kanan confronted the Inquisitors on Malachor, where Kanan had sacrificed his sight to save his allies. Though blinded, he emerged stronger than before, guided by the Force rather than his eyes. It was in the aftermath of Malachor that the Ghost Crew came to truly know Darth Maul - not as a fleeting enemy, but as an uneasy ally fighting the same war.

The Rebellion soon found another unexpected companion when the Mandalorian Protector Fenn Rau was captured, only to earn his freedom and ultimately pledge himself to the Rebel cause, just as destiny had intended. With Fenn in their hands, the Ghost Crew had a short window to safely land on Mandalore. A chance that they had used.

Sabine, Fenn Rau, Ahsoka, Maul, and Kanan, now united, had gone to Mandalore. Most of them had "returned", but some simply returned to their home, while others returned to a place of memories. Once the former Mand'alor, Maul still commanded the respect of many warriors who remembered his rule. Clan after clan answered the call, setting aside old grudges to stand against the Empire. Among them were Pre Vizsla, who was spared from his destined death, and Bo-Katan Kryze, who accepted that the survival of Mandalore demanded unity rather than division.

More warriors had found their way to the cause as well. Jango Fett, who was thought dead, emerged once more to fight beside his fellow Mandalorians. Boba Fett, betrayed by those he once trusted, abandoned the life of a bounty hunter after being rescued by the Ghost Crew. Din Djarin, rescued from Imperial captivity, likewise laid aside the creed of the lone hunter to fight for Mandalore's future.

Together, this unlikely alliance carried the war across the galaxy. Imperial governors fell. Inquisitor strongholds were destroyed. Countless worlds were defended from Imperial occupation, and every victory brought new warriors to the Rebel cause. Even the Emperor's deadliest champions - including Mara Jade, Darth Vader, and Darth Sidious himself - were finally defeated.

As the Concordance saw the Empire in its weakest, they had decided that the time had come to put an end to it, forever. Fenn Rau, Bo-Katan Kryze, and Din Djarin had been secretly sent to assault an Imperial network tower and interrupt the propaganda broadcast with a wake-up call. The people around the galaxy had gone furious, riots raging everywhere. The Empire, without any proper leadership, has been weakened once again...

At last, only the source of the Empire's power remained: deep within an ancient fortress where the dark side of the Force had taken root, the enemy prepared one final stand. To end the war, seven warriors - brethren, now united by blood, had been sent to level the evil lair to the ground: Darth Maul, Ahsoka Tano, Kanan Jarrus, Sabine Wren, Pre Vizsla, Boba Fett, and Jango Fett.

If they failed, the Empire would endure.

If they succeeded, the galaxy would finally be free.

The fate of the galaxy rests on their shoulders...

BACKSTORY OF THIS STORY
While preparing yet another modded XCOM 2 playthrough, I decided to go for a Mandalorian theme. I already had a ton of Mandalorian armor and equipment mods installed, so, as always, I filled my Character Pool with some of my favorite characters - both Force users and Mandalorian heroes. Then I ran into one big question: how on earth would characters like Darth Maul, Ahsoka Tano, Kanan Jarrus, Boba Fett, Pre Vizsla, and Jango Fett all end up fighting on the same side? It obviously wouldn't make sense in canon... And right there, a concept I thought of before resurfaced: since this whole playthrough initially came to life because I got inspired by the Clone Wars and the Rebels show, why not take one of their plot points and fuel the run with that? So, now, during the Siege of Mandalore, Ahsoka accepts Maul's offer. From there, almost everything plays out exactly like it does in canon. The Clone Wars end, the Republic still falls, the Empire still rises, and the events of Rebels happen pretty much the same way. The only real difference is that Maul stays with Ahsoka, and when she reunites with the Ghost Crew, she introduces them to an ally they never expected. As time goes on, more and more Mandalorians join their cause, along with a few other familiar faces, eventually forming a new faction known as the Concordance. That's the version of the Star Wars galaxy this XCOM campaign takes place in.
