The immersion you get from this stupid little VRChat drone is absurd

Maybe it's just autism/adhd, but I swear there ain't no better feeling in this game then putting on some music and chasing drift cars around with this thing on golly

A lap around Cougar Circuit with the VRC+ Drone

Been having so much fun recently with putting Spotify on in the background and trying to sync up the flight to whatever track. Got pretty lucky with how everything lined up on this one :)

You can use the Betaflight OSD menu to accurately check your camera angle instead of guessing

Left and up with your sticks will bring up the menu [←] [↑]

If you're just discovering this for the first time, you can also use it to change most tuning and rate settings, as well as swap between different rate, PID, and OSD profiles

There's a few more Betaflight cheat codes you can use too: https://oscarliang.com/stick-commands/

Experiment using Vivify and point cloud rendering to take volumetric "screenshots" of gameplay

Setup is an array of cameras and a geometry shader that takes each pixel from the depth texture in each camera to set the Z position of each point, with some slight transform noise, and emission changes controlled by AudioLink

Every time a note is cut an event is triggered to enable then disable all the cameras for a quarter beat.
Once disabled their render texture will display the last frame from when the camera was active, which creates the "screenshot" effect

The field of view and center frame close up image quality is insane (corners not so much), but the fact that I bought a premade one to avoid a lot of the delicate work, only to have it show up out of focus requiring me to take it apart anyway, kinda sucks. On that same note, their official gyroflow profile is garbage with very clear bowing around the edges, so if that's something you care about you're going to have to manually try to make a better one. Also between the camera itself and beefy canopy required to hold it, this thing is now up to 56g and the weight *really* shows...

If you're a casual park cruiser then this upgrade is amazing, but I'm not sure if it's worth it trying to keep this setup and upgrade motors or something, go back to the old camera or some custom lens mod to keep this as a fun flyer, or just sell all my 1s stuff and grab a 2s Mob8 and maybe a smaller cinewhoop?

If anyone else has flown both a meteor 75 o4 and a mob8 o4, I'm really curious about the first hand experience on the difference between the two, and if the power of the 2s actually does make up for the weight.
