I’m about to start painting my Black Templars Combat Patrol and I’ve put together what I think is my final paint list. Before I commit, I’d like some outside opinions especially if something here seems unnecessary, redundant, or if I’m missing a key color.

Here’s the list:

- Gal Vorbak Red

- Hashut Copper

- Copper

- Plasma Coil Glow

- Ushabti Bone

- Dawnstone

- Eshin Grey

- Warplock Bronze

- Grey Seer

- Abaddon Black

- Rakarth Flesh

- Reikland Fleshshade

- Mephiston Red

- Leadbelcher

- Canoptek Alloy

- Corax White

- Nuln Oil

- Agrax Earthshade

The goal is a classic Black Templars scheme with some slightly richer metallics and warmer tones for details.

Does this seem like a solid setup, or am I overcomplicating things? Any obvious gaps or better alternatives you’d suggest?

Hi everyone,

I’m completely new to Warhammer 40K and just got into the hobby. I recently bought the Black Templars Combat Patrol and started building my first army list based on that.

Right now my list includes:

• The full Black Templars Combat Patrol
• Eradicators
• A Redemptor Dreadnought

Since I’m still learning the game, I’m not sure if this is a good direction or if I’m missing something important (like mobility, balance, etc.).

I’d really appreciate any feedback or suggestions on how to improve this list, especially for a beginner trying to build towards a solid 2000-point army.
