Why is the /r/all algorithm absolute dogshit?

I understand this probably has nothing to do with Relay, but I have to rant for a minute.

The /r/all algorithm is absolutely terrible and it is pushing me closer and closer to quitting reddit for good. After I've checked my main subs sometimes I browse All to explore other content but it is just so fucking dogshit now.

It feels like every post I scroll past is nothing but shitposts, borderline hentai/furry porn and gacha games, gay/trans/femboy, India, selfies, European subs in foreign languages, etc. None of this is mainstream, it's all super weird and cringe to me. I'm not a hater or a bigot, but sorry if I don't want to be bombarded with all this fringe shit while just trying to look at funny and amusing posts. There are still a ton of cat subreddits though which is great. 😂

I just saw a post from /r/okbuddytracen which is like some cringe anime jerkoff shit, fuck if I know. That sub has 36k members. To name a couple completely random examples, /r/pizza and /r/pasta each have over a million subscribers yet I never see any posts from there on All. Yet you will see posts from /r/countwithchickenlady all day long, and that one has 174k subs. I block every shit ass subreddit I stumble upon. I've filtered out so many degenerate gooning anime subs like HonkaiStarRail, xxxxMains, etc. that it's not even funny. Yet more and more of them continue to pop up and completely poison my feed.

Look, this is only a fraction of it:

It really seems like reddit just fucking sucks now, I mean it's been going downhill for a long time but it seems more obvious now than ever and it's sad. Is there no better way to explore cool stuff you're not already subscribed to? This is like wading through miles of shit with no reward whatsoever.

What do you all think?

A, A1, B service, etc?

Sorry if it's a dumb question but this is my first Honda.

Took my ITS to the dealer for my free oil change ('A' service). The manual clearly says 'A' service is only an oil change, while 'B' is oil change + filter replacement, and '1' is tire rotation. But my service advisor said they're going to do all 3. That's totally fine with me, I certainly wanted the filter changed anyway and there's no harm in rotating the tires more often — especially since the PS4s don't last long. But I wasn't expecting to be told they automatically deviate from what's in the manual? He didn't indicate they only do this for Type S's, either.

Is it unusual/surprising for them to do all these services when the car doesn't say it's due for them? Is it a sign of a good service department? Or is this pretty typical?

Thanks for reading.

Ready to roll!

Figured I'd post this for anyone it might help out now or in the future.

This is my 2012 Mazda 3 i Touring 6MT sedan with 2.0L Skyactiv and 144k miles. 💙 In 10+ years I never had any issues whatsoever until it started throwing a code for small evap leak (P0442) which I knew could be tricky. At first the check engine light was intermittent but eventually became permanent, so I had to fix it to pass emissions. I knew it wasn't the fuel cap.

My local shop tried a smoke test without much success, and unsurprisingly they wanted to throw parts at the problem. They quoted a new purge valve, vent valve, hoses, and fuel filler neck which they said was dry rotted. And the price for it all was going to be high.

Well, plenty of my own research suggested the vapor canister vent valve commonly fails on these cars, so I insisted on giving that a try first. I bought a replacement myself for $55 (Dorman #911-711) since the shop wanted to charge a lot for parts, but knowing this valve is a pain to access, I was more than happy to let them do the repair.

They replaced it and I really hoped the CEL wouldn't come back on, at which point the issue might prove to be a tiny pinhole in one of the hoses, or the entire fuel neck being bad.

But thankfully it **was** just the notorious OEM vent valve that failed internally, and I'm happy to say the issue is resolved! Took about three 40-mile round trips and several more short trips for the code to finally clear, but it's gone!! So now I can get her registered and back on the road! 😃

Damn, this thing is sweet 😮‍💨

Here's my take on OEM+ at 2,000 miles. 🤩

Got plans for some interior mods, maybe wheel spacers too. Stock under the hood for now, still feeling out the car before I decide what all to do.
