I was thinking about Ur-Didact and the Iso-Didact.

I was thinking about how clones of infected forerunners transformed the instant the original got infected.

But Iso-Didact is not really a perfect clone and more of an incarnation/combination of Ur-Didact and his original self, or at least I think/assume so.

So if the Ur-Didact was infected, would the Iso-Didact also mutate?

Also I know Ur-Didact was "corrupted" by the logic plague, he wasn't "infected" though.

Just got to the flood part in Campaign Evolved and the cutscenes do make the situation look more clear than Combat Evolved. You see Keyes and Johnson as the last men standing side by side.

So how did Johnson escape while Keyes get captured?

I know in the Mona Lisa the Flood doesn't infect and kidnaps personnel who might be important (so they can feed to the proto-gravemind).

I also heard that the whole Johnson having higher resistance and "Johnson has inactive flood DNA in his body" got retconned but I haven't really confirmed that.

So how did Johnson escape the flood but not Keyes?

The question is in the title. Afaik the flood are precursors and they chose humanity. So why does the flood actively attack humans? Have they given up on the idea of passing the mantle to a different species?

Or is it that the main "mind" in the flood (Primordial one I think) is just a sadist and asshole and didn't even really care about the mantle?

The flood absorbs and assimilates all knowledge and info from their victims and apparently. And we see with the Prophet of Regret, he still retains his ego. We know the Gravemind is capable of convincing AI like Mendicant Bias into rebelling against his creators as well.

So, I'm wondering why the general combat flood forms are so mindless? The smartest thing they do is maybe shoot a gun and when they got no arms, they just ran at you. Would it not be more beneficial for combat flood forms to have battle senses like knowing how to dodge like how regular non-infected lifeforms dodge grenades or vehicles?

I don't read any of the books but are there any infected people who retain an ego and willingly follow the flood?

Why I need something like this? Trying to make my mini pc portable but because it doesn't have a battery, when I plug in a charger to most power banks, it cuts off power for a split second.

Requirements:

1. Two USB-C ports.
2. Pass through charging without dropping voltage at all.
3. At least 40w when two ports (USB-c) are filled.

The closest I could find to my ideal is the zmi no20 200w as people say it has true ups. However, these are being sold at a crazy price on aliexpress (mainly $55 shipping) and I cant find them anywhere else. Their current brand also sells new versions, but they're way chonkier.

Anker's 165w portable power bank also doesn't drop the voltage briefly when a secondary usb-c device is plugged in. However it is chonky. I would prefer if it had less height; more width/length is fine.

At higher ranks I'm sure theres little to no difference. But in lower ranks, the gap is much, much, much wider and that makes climbing so miserable. Console players at low ranks have noticeably worse aim and are more used to slower gameplay so they play extremely passive (baiting) even on attack.

This makes solo queue so miserable.

The only upside is finding a match takes 20-30 seconds now.
