Anyone else think GLEN ALLEN is a stupid name for a part of town.
It’s just bad. When I first moved here someone asked me to give them a ride to a doctors appointment. They said it was in Glen Allen, so I typed it into google thinking it was either the doctors name. When I saw that it was just a splotch of the map labeled as Glen Allen I lost my shit. At least Scott’s Addition has a little bit of a tell in the name, it’s a splotch of land that was added to the cities property by a private land owner named Scott. Glen Allen? Glen fucking Allen??? Who the fuck is that. What he do? Why? (No I will not google it) Oh no one cares?? Cool. Rename it to something functionally logical. Just using a persons full name as the name of a place is SoOOOoo dumb.
