Any remedies for nausea?
Well, I have learned an important lesson last night. I try not to use my air conditioning because it's very expensive. Instead, I have a fan on the side of my bed. But I live in the Midwest and we've had a terrible heat wave. I've been waking up with nausea and I realize it's going hand-in-hand if my body gets overheated. So that is a good lesson to use my air-conditioning.
Anybody have any suggestions for the nausea that comes along with a flareup? I have that a lot and it's hard to deal with.
Migraines and Trazodone
Anybody noticed that trazodone makes the migraines worse? Trazodone has helped me to sleep and I've been on it for years but I'm thinking it's really working against me. I currently take 50 mg and last night I cut the pill down so I only took 3/4 of it because I know you can't go cold turkey. This morning was the first time I had some relief although the migraine came back because I still had it in my system. I'm very encouraged by that! My goal is to get off of it.
Pot gummy reaction?
I take a pot gummy to sleep. I'm starting to get a lot of bad symptoms from the histamine intolerance. I've taken a pot gummy for years, but I'm wondering if I'm starting to react to it.
Anybody in the same situation?
Writing with AI
My friend's husband wrote about an experience that he had well on vacation. To my knowledge, he is not a writer and I was interested to see what he wrote. I started reading it and I was shocked like oh my God this guy has missed his calling. It was really good.
Shortly into the reading, he said that he used AI to create the writing. I immediately put it down.
I am a writer and I have never wants to use AI or chat, whatever that is. I have no idea what the rules and limits are as a writer.
I feel like he cheated and creating that writing. Your thoughts?
Low dose peptide therapy for histamine intolerance ?
Just saw something on YouTube about this. Anybody tried it?
Early morning histamine dump
From as far back as I can remember, I have really suffered within insomnia during allergy season. I have leaky gut and histamine intolerance, Mast cell and MTHFRG mutation.
At the height of allergy season, it gets more and more difficult to fall asleep and to stay asleep. Some nights I'm only sleeping three or four hours and I'm exhausted. Very frustrating.
My functional medicine doctor prescribed me Zyrtec, which I take, and that does help with the histamine intolerance issues, but not the sleep. I read not too long ago that somebody suggested taking Zyrtec with Pepcid. I looked it up and it does look like it will help with that early morning histamine dump and the insomnia.
My question is what time of day should I take those pills, before bed, early in the morning, etc?
Seasonal allergies and histamine intolerance
I always suffer more during allergy season because of all of the histamines in the air. I am taking Zyrtec once a day but thinking about taking it twice to try to clear some of this out. I am also on a number of supplements and working with a functional medicine doctor. It's been six months and I was starting to find improvement until allergy season hit and I'm struggling.
My question to my fellow sufferers is when you fill your body is full of histamine, which I can feel when it is, what do you do to release it?
Coffee obsession!
From as far back as I can remember, I have been obsessed with caffeine. Now I have histamine intolerance, so I have never felt well when I drank it, but I want coffee every day which I rarely do. I realize now it's the exhaustion that comes with the histamine intolerance. And it's not just coffee. I just want stuff with caffeine in it so please don't recommend I drink decaf because that stuff is not good to me.
I just was reading something and somebody was taking hemp protein powder. It's low in histamine and so I ordered some and hoping that will give me much-needed energy.
I get very tired when I get a histamine flare and they are even worse with allergy season, hence my addiction to caffeine.
Anybody else out there having issues like that and found something to give them energy?
Working with a functional medicine doctor. Diagnosed with leaky gut and histamine intolerance. Starting to see some progress as far as healing, but it takes a while.
I live in the Midwest and we are right in the middle of a very bad allergy season so the pollen in the air make the histamine intolerance even worse
Got up this morning with the usual fuzzy head and migraine and nausea.
I have so many tools so to speak that I use to try to alleviate the symptoms, but one important thing that I forgot to do was the Netty pot so I did that this morning. I also drank some water with baking soda in it. Then I did a 10 minute face lymphatic drain massage. The lymphatic system can get very bogged down with clogged histamine.
After doing that, I feel pretty amazing! My stomach feels good as does my head. Hope this helps.
Anybody find their symptoms are much worse during allergy season because of all of the pollen in the air?
