Meditations by Marcus Aurelius
“Yesterday sperm tomorrow a mummy or ashes”
“Living with the gods is one who continually shows him the soul and is content with he’s lot”
“The best revenge is to not be like ur enemy”
“The whole of present time is a pin prick in eternity”
“Leave the wrong done by another where it stared”
“Pain is nether unendurable or unending as long as u member its limites and do not egsagrate it in ur imagination”
“Remember to that many things we find disagreeable are the unrecognized anylogs of pain drowsiness for example epresive heat loss of appetite so when u find urself complaining of any of these say self u are giving into pain”
“Ask urself this bout each action will i regret it”
“If it is not right don’t do it if it is not true don’t say it”
( my note listening to this good was good but I seen other notes I could have added but I’ll go back through at another time and add more to it and share with my friends hope this makes sense)
Leaves of grass by Walt Whitman

Drum - Taps and memoranda during the civil war by Walt Whitman “This is probably my favorite bc it’s he’s journal and it talks bout he’s time visiting the war hospital and trying to comfort the wounded and dying and writing letters to thier loved ones and getting them whatever they needed from books clothes or food and he said Lincoln and him would often cross paths and tip thier hat to each other “
The Devil’s to Pay : John Buford at Gettysburg.A History and Walking Tour by Eric J Wittenberg
John Buford’s brothers names I find interesting
Napoleon Bonaparte Buford
Thomas Jefferson Buford
James Monroe Buford
And John Buford married he’s 3rd cousin he also had rumarism and he would need help to get on hes horse but when he did he would be up there all day
When Lincoln heard Buford was sick he wanted to thank him for the work he did at Gettysburg in fear he would die soon and he did die and Lincoln went to he’s funeral
Buford was liked and respected by friends and enemies
