Got the call!!!

Got the call!!!

After waiting what seems like a lifetime, I noticed my phone vibrating. I looked down, saw my AD was calling. My piece had arrived! I started sweating, with excitement of course. I grabbed my wife, we jumped in the car and drove through every red light to get to the store as quick as we could. There it was, the piece I have been dreaming about for years. I’m so glad I didn’t go grey market, I feel like I truly deserve this watch. To commemorate this special day I went and got this tattoo the very next day. It happened a few weeks ago but wanted to let it heal before I uploaded a photo.

I hope you all have a great day!

How is this for a sketchy landing?

US attack chopper shot my tail rotor and damaged my main, so I limped back to MOB and managed to pull off this landing.

Bring back corduroy!

I remember wearing corduroy pants when I was a kid but now that I’m a bit older (30) and enjoy wearing coats and jackets, I thought it’s time to bring back some memories. I have been looking for a while for a specific cut and colour and found the perfect one yesterday!

Edit: I’m in Australia and we are going into winter.

I tried to buy a vinyl called “Speed” but instead got drugs. Did I get ripped off?

“Private Function” - Melbourne punk band. Actually a really good band but feel like this needs to be shared here.

I will never not love a Marshall and Gibson combo

I had the amp built by Marshall and bought the V from Gibson Garage in London before moving back to Australia (you might have seen the guitar on here when I first bought it). I have been playing my other guitars lately but decided to get this one out again and I forgot how amazing the pair sounds and looks. I couldn’t help but take a photo.

I served nine years in the Royal Australian Navy as a Marine Technician, had a four year break and now looking at going back to sea. I have my name down for a few Integrated Rating traineeships and that’s purely because the courses are booked out with slots only available to those already in the industry. Ex navy unfortunately means not in the industry which I understand.

I managed to get a diploma in engineering, welding qualifications, and a fabrication trade. I recently completed the CoST (STCW95) at AMC, working at heights, confined space entry, and my dogging high risk ticket and seeking advice on steps moving forward.

Im currently reaching out to shipping companies but I’m a bit overwhelmed. I would greatly appreciate any advice on career paths, companies currently recruiting etc.

Have a great day!
