Flight Attendant Meal Prep

Hi everyone! I’m a new flight attendant and I was wondering if anyone had any suggestions for food that is cheap and healthy AND can survive multiple day pairings? This month I will be going away for four days at a time, and we unfortunately are not paid enough to be eating out all the time.

I tried making rice for one of my meal preps, but when I ate it at the end of a very long shift, I got paranoid that sitting in my cooler bag for 12 hours may have led to it developing that rice bacteria. I am definitely open to making rice again, but I don’t know if it will be feasible for multiple days.

Does anyone have any suggestions for food that would sit well for long days without refrigeration?

Found three of these in Toronto Canada

I found three of these in my room, one was dead and the other two were close to dead. Also please excuse the mess on the floor!! I’ve been terrified of sweeping because of these and I need to get someone else to sweep them up

air canada language assessment

I just wanted to share what the language assessment process was for me. I was sent an email telling me the time for the language assessment calls (I had two calls scheduled for Hindi and Punjabi). I received a call for the first language, and the person examining said they would also be the one calling me later in the day, so if I’d prefer I can do both calls now. I agreed.

The questions were as following (can’t remember all of them):
- how was your day?
- could you describe your previous customer service experience?
- do you prefer to work alone or in a team setting?
- what are the downsides to working in a team?
- describe a time when you had to deal with a customer who was upset
- what are your thoughts about honesty in the workplace?
- what are your hobbies?

It was not as conversational as people said it would be, it was more like an interview (this might vary across languages and the examiners). I don’t know how it went, I just wanted to share because as someone who was stress-searching through Reddit for any insight on the language test specifically for my two languages, I think this could help some of you.

I (24F) am currently dating someone (24M) after a long term relationship ended. Some of my unhealthy patterns in the past included neglecting my friendships and becoming codependent. I think I have grown a lot since that past relationship, especially since it was my first.

As I navigate this new relationship, how can I keep myself from falling into old patterns? How do I make sure I’m not centering my partner in my life? We’ve been dating for around two/three months and I try to limit seeing him to 2 or 3 times a week (which is quite a difference after living together with my past partner), but I so badly want to give into the urge and see him more. I think part of it might be the honeymoon phase and just being completely infatuated, but part of me is so so unsatisfied with the amount of time we have. One week we met up 4 times, but I felt so guilty about it. I felt like I was doing something wrong like eating too many cookies, where it feels good but I know it’s unhealthy for me.

In terms of my other habits, I make sure to see my friends every week, I make sure to make time for my hobbies and interests, and I make sure to not outsource my emotional regulation to my partner. I’m so so afraid of falling into old patterns, how do I navigate the line between healthy and unhealthy love?
