Does anyone know what baseline difficulty the Custom Sliders start at?

Coming from Top Spin (which felt like Lego tennis at this point), I’m really loving Tiebreak. However, I’ve run into a confusing detail with the custom slider settings and am hoping someone here has figured it out.

When you open the Custom Sliders menu, you’re presented with a bunch of default numerical values. The problem is that the game doesn't specify what baseline preset those values actually represent.

Are those default custom values taken from:

Easiest difficulty? Legendary difficulty?

Medium?

Since there’s no visual indicator or label showing which difficulty profile you are tweaking from scratch, it’s hard to know what you're actually building off of. Has anyone managed to test this or find out where those default slider numbers come from?

I play legendary but would like to tweak just a few things like AI first serve percentage, etc.

Thanks

Research papers and assignments feel like puzzles

After taking ENGL255 I've become pretty paranoid regarding references. I was told by my tutor that everything we say in a research essay has to be supported by evidence/reference.

Because of that, I feel that my research essays are becoming puzzles made of hundred of pieces where literally (I really mean literally) each paragraph has at least one reference. I'm writing an assignment now and in the first 2,000 words I have 35 in-text references. That means a reference for every 57 words (about 4 lines of text). This is especially frustrating when I am quoting the same article over and over (although not continuously, so I must reference it again!)

Is this normal? Does this happen to anybody else? These are the first courses I take at Univ level that involve so much writing, so I am not 100% sure. I've done this in previous courses and always got A+/A so I guess it is what they expect from us? It's so exhausting though...🥴🫠

Thanks!

GOVN/HSRV 380 Nonprofit and Voluntary Sector Governance

Hello,

Just looking for general info on this one. I haven't found much online (no discussions on r/AthabascaUniversity either).

It seems like a lot of reading! 😅

Thanks

35k Special Levy! Is that normal?

Condo owner in Edmonton here. Just got hit with a 35k special levy to be paid within the next year and a half. I am shocked.. are these numbers common in Alberta? The building is old, but 35k...!

The Reserve Fund Study said to prioritize other structural elements, but the board is moving forward with replacing the windows. Do owners have any ground for appealing the board's decision?

Bug list

Can we please start a list of bugs in the game, in the hope that Milestones will fix them?

I would start with:

  1. In Career Mode, loading between sessions stops at 20%. Players must quit the game at least once every race weekend.

  2. In Career Mode, during practice sessions or qualifying when the weather transitions from wet to dry, the AI does not adapt. It keeps running on wet tires and crashes continuously. Users cannot complete a lap due to constant yellow flags.

  3. In Career Mode, there is an explanatory pop-up at every single development test session.

  4. In Career Mode, some development tests are scheduled before the race weekend (I believe they should always be after).

  5. In Career Mode, the standings menu graphics appear messy when switching between classes.

  6. Laggy last sector at Mugello (offline and online play) on some platforms

Are we overestimating Aprilia's progress?

After Marc's Q1 lap in LeMans last weekend, I started thinking that maybe, just maybe, we are all overestimating Aprilia's real strength compared to Ducati.

Marc's lap was out of this world and the Aprilia were almost half a second slower in Q2. Other than that, let's consider Pecco's "resurgence" in LeMans sprint and race (before the crash), and more in general throughout season compared to last year. Let's also consider Alex's performance in Jerez, where he was miles ahead of the whole field.

Ultimately, let's consider DiGiannantonio's performance this year. He is an ok rider, but this year he's getting poles and being more consistent than ever considering his level.

And obviously Marc Marquez. The goat himself was able to fight for podiums and first rows in qualy with that problem with his radial nerve! I am not sure people fully understand what that means. The nerve not only gives mobility to the arm but provides feeling (sensation) to the whole arm (forearm, upper arm and part of the hand!!!).

I would like to get people's perception of Aprilia after Marc's lap in LeMans and after considering all of that I wrote above.

No disrespect to Aprilia at all. They are so consistent with multiple riders, so their improvement is very, very real. They are doing an amazing job, I love Sterlacchini since his time at Ducati and it's so good to see more than just Ducati's in the first positions all the time.

But maybe the two bikes are closer than what transpired this season so far?

Cheers

Love the game (26) but...every contact is a crash!

I got used to the physics and like the game very much now, ever more than the 25 edition. However, compared to last year's title it seems that the slightest touch with another rider sends us or the CPU player on the gravel..every single time...always..

So frustrating! Especially touches on the rear end make the rider crash, which is imo highly unrealistic

I'm not whining, I'm just hoping someone at Milestone sees this 🙈🙈🙈

How is it working for Acute Care Alberta?

Basically just the title. I'd like some info regarding job security, respect for employees, and other basic stuff...

I am interested in a lower admin position, nothing special, but I never worked in the public sector.

I'm attracted by job security and benefits, other than possibly being finally able to make a positive impact on society and communities (even on a very small scale).

Thanks to everyone who will share some info.

In the last 4 months I played 500+ hours. All offline play. Considering that I have a full time job and a healthy relationship, playing has become a second full time job. It's unfortunately making it difficult to progress in my studies (continuing education) and sometimes I feel I'd rather be playing than spending one more hour with my partner. Time flies, days go by quickly. It's not an escape from something unpleasant, I just enjoy playing, I've been playing videogames my entire life.

I tried reducing the hours. Didn't work.

Parked the controller at a friend's house during weekdays. Craving intensified.

It feels like the only way to stop is to sell the console.

Any advice?

Thanks!
