So I'm about to purchase a Dell precision 5570 laptop. I plan on running Nobara Linux on it or maybe just Fedora. I wanted to guy a wireless mouse and a hub as it only has 2 thunderbolt, one USB-C, one headphone jack (surprisingly) and 2 card readers. So I'd like a wireless external mouse with good response, a hub with generous amount of ports of different types, including, USB-A as many as possible, C, HDMI, Ethernet, Card readers, micro sd card reader, thunderbolt, or anything that I can get, etc., and maybe also a wired external keyboard. Please recommend some Linux compatible options for me. Also, please no flagship options, I need budget products, I'm a student. Thank you.

I actually dropped my phone in water for the 100th time today and this time i was sure that it's not gonna survive. So i did start transferring my files and photos into my pc, but the thing is that my mom plugged out my phone mid transfer and only half it was transferred and when i plugged it in again to transfer the rest, it seems the screen is already gone. no touch, all black. And I'm on mint mate right now so no clue what to do. Don't have HDMI and stuff either. The phone vibrates when I plug it in but that's it. And also, I needed to log into my gmails but for that I'll need my passwords or my phone and now i have neither. usually i just go with OTP on my phone but phone is gone now. What to do?

Recently I've come to hear some really bad things about TPT like highly corrupt administration, students don't give a f other than getting a degree, mess food is bad, no student culture, dead events, understaffed Physics and Mathematics faculty, etc. Now all of these things are being said by IISER TPT students only and some of them are really frustrated. Now there intent might not be to dishearten someone from going to TPT but after hearing so much, I'm disheartened. So many issues, there was a suicide recently, an accident of a student was silenced a while back, and so many shitty things I'm hearing. So I'm already 2nd guessing it. But more than any of that, I care about my department. I wanna study Physics. And the fact that the Physics faculty is understaffed concerns me. Now for the other option, BPR, I have no idea how good the Department of Physics and Mathematics even is. Is it sufficiently staffed? How are the facilities? Is the department good? If so, then how does it compare to TPT? Which has a better Physics department? Which should I pick? I'm so confused about it. So could some TPT and BPR students confirm my doubts and answer my questions please? Thank you.

I wanted to learn CS for Computational Physics, and wanted to finish it before going to college so I can get better internships early on as Professors need C++ or Python knowledge all the time. So I needed the certificate as well to prove it, but when the course was going on, I had my highschool finals and entrance exams going on so I couldn't attend it. Can I still get it?

I saw a error message showing my history and my bookmarks will not me available or something when i started up my computer today and i checked and they were really just gone. What do I do?

So I wanna buy refurbished excellent quality Thinkpad P1 gen 4/5 laptop (Black), but I don't live in a major city. I live in Tezpur (Assam, India). Not a lot of great shops here, and he ones that are here don't have great options. Nearest big city is 4 hours away (Guwahati), and I don't know how to find a trusted, seller that will give me greats deals with excellent quality and would have what I need. How do I buy it, as sites like eBay has like $300-400 shipping charge, which makes it too expensive for me to spend. Where and how can I buy them? Last I checked, gen 4 was for $500-600 refurbished a couple of months ago, sadly I can't find those deals, but I think a gen 5 shouldn't be way off that either. I was hoping for something around $800-900 maybe.
