Would you pay a matchmaker to find a wife?

I got interested in high end matchmaking services recently as they give a very curated experience and basically filter the noise, avoid total gold diggers and might save you from lots of bad experiences in poorer countries. Down side is they can cost tens of thousands of dollars. Has any of you used such services? Is it worth it? Edit: Since someone asked below: I also thought about this topic after seeing an interesting documentary about different such services. Including a male client paying 30k to a Dubai based international matchmaker. Video is mostly in German but has English subtitles. Würdet ihr zu einem professionellen Partnervermittler gehen?

Ich bin eine Frau, die beruflich schon einiges erreicht hat, nun Anfangs 40 ist und ja, ich wünsche mir schon immer mehr einen Mann und eine Familie. Ich habe beim Online-Dating keinen Erfolg gehabt. How to get verified?

So I am kinda new on reddit. And just recently I was told that I am not verified yet. I tried reading in the internet on how to do that but kinda fail. Like I managed to change my password by getting an email sent to me so I guess it should kinda be verified. But Moderators of a group tell me I am not verified. Can anyone tell me how to actually do that? I use reddit on my phone as an app.

Are expensive matchmakers worth it?

Playing with the thought of hiring a matchmaker as F41 who hasnt been in a serious relationship for a while and dating apps are so time consuming and hardly lead to a proper relationship. There are those that charge a few thousands, 10K, 100k or even more. I can afford that as I have been pretty successful in my career. I wonder though if it is worth it? Will I likely find an equal partner who also has a good career and is roughly my age and maybe wants children? I struggle finding this combination in real life and wonder if they can help. Do let me know your experiences.

Do personalized matchmakers ever match paying clients?

Hi, so I 41f am considering going to a matchmaker as I am really fed up with dating apps. I have been talking to a few of them to get a feeling for what they offer and what to expect. I also read online that often they promise you more than they can offer before you sign a contract and later try to have you compromise on your wishes.

One thing is that as a successful woman I am hoping to date a man who is equally successful cuz I feel most men would struggle if their partner outshines them and I also feel that this would help us have a more equal relationship.

However, I read that luxury matchmakers hardly match female paying clients with male paying clients. Is this true? Cuz I feel dating someone who actually feels ready for a relationship and therefore goes to a matchmaker and who also has some success in their career and can afford the matchmaker fees would be a good match.

Am I missing something here? What have your experiences been?

Is there a way to stop dating app algorithms from showing you bad matches?

I have been a frequent user of Bumble, Hinge and Tinder and I have been trying to use the different filter options (preferences/dealbreakers) in a way to get the apps who show me exactly the type of matches I want. But I feel like the apps still don't always follow my requirements. Is there a way to make the matches more suitable? Am I using the apps wrong? What have your experiences been?
