I’d been in the Three Sisters many times. This was my 80th birthday trip. We spent one night at the edge of a meadow getting water from a tiny stream. Then two nights, up higher (6900’) with a view from Mt. Hood to the Sisters, and west over ridge after ridge, to the Coast Range. Good weather. Nearly no one around.
He sat and gazed like this without moving for 20-30 minutes. The best of dogs.
I was just starting a hike on Wednesday when the rain began. I extended the hike just to enjoy it.
This was two fine teams playing fair and hard. A great game start to finish. Thank you Thorns and Gotham.

We had hiked over the Dellenback Dunes (we backpacked in to a sand lake in the dunes) to this lonely beach.
We have a Durostar 13,000 tri-fuel, and it's NOISY!! Some of you must have some plans or whatever for a safe, sound-deadening housing. I don't want the neighbors to vandalize a noisy generator. ;-)

This would be from pretty much any hike or backpack that any of us has ever walked. Moving outdoors is a dose of health. I live in the Pacific Northwest so most of my hiking and backpacking have been here, but I have walked all over the Western states and into the Canadian Rockies.
There’s a fundraiser going on in downtown. The money goes to Doernbecher Children’s Hospital. The crows are all decorated differently. There’s a website and a map.
This is in the Dellenback Dunes south of Reedsport where no wheels are allowed. We miss Tim. He was a great guy!!
