Dating after divorce (24M)

24(M) seeking advice after getting divorced.

I’m divorced, have a young son, and I’m reaching the point where I’ve started thinking about dating again. The problem is that I have no idea what dating is supposed to look like for me anymore.

I was married, so while I wasn't thinking about dating apps, first dates, meeting new people, or any of the stuff that comes with being single. Now that chapter of my life is over, and getting back out there feels strangely intimidating.

Being a dad also changes how I think about it. My son is an important part of my life, and I don't want to rush into introducing someone to him. I figure dating and parenting should remain pretty separate until a relationship has actually become serious and stable.

For people who started dating again after a divorce:

•How long did it take before dating stopped feeling weird?

•Did you use dating apps, meet people organically, or both?

•How upfront/open were you about being divorced and having a child?

•When did you know you were actually ready for another relationship?

•What mistakes did you make when you first started dating again?

•Did you find that being divorced made dating harder, or was it less of an issue than you expected?

I’m NOT trying to replace my marriage or recreate my old life with somebody else. I think I’m mostly trying to figure out what a healthy dating life after divorce actually looks like.

Any advice or experiences would be appreciated.

Fart

> be me

> go to abdominal pain call

> man doubled over, appears to be in immense pain

> agrees to be transported and we start going toward the hospital

> halfway there patient lets out a MASSIVE fart

> says pain no longer exists and wants to be let out mid transport

Hello!

Hi everyone. I currently come from a Southern Baptist background, but recently I’ve become increasingly interested in Eastern Orthodoxy and want to seriously explore it rather than just relying on things I’ve seen online.

I’m particularly interested in learning about the early Church, apostolic succession, Scripture and Tradition, the Eucharist, baptism, salvation/theosis, icons, and the Orthodox understanding of Mary and the saints.

I’d really appreciate recommendations for books, Church Fathers, Scripture passages, lectures, podcasts, or other resources that would be helpful for someone coming from a Protestant/Baptist background. I’m also interested in hearing what questions or topics you think I should research before deciding whether Orthodoxy is something I want to pursue further.

I’m not looking to rush into conversion—I want to understand the theology, history, and practices as fairly and thoroughly as I can.

Thanks for any recommendations!

Wing flavors

Hello! I'm thinking about starting a food truck specializing in wings and would definitely have all the classic flavors of wings, what about any unique flavors you could think of? What would you want to see?

Leaving EMS to start a food truck

I'm seriously considering leaving to start a food truck as my passions are shifting from medicine to food service. Would it be distasteful to incorporate some medical terms into the menu (ex: trauma alert burger, etc)?

Friends PO is being difficult

So my friend has a PO that's not granting him a travel pass so he can go to family court in another county. He's trying to fight for his child, and the system is genuinely shitting on him. He's been respectful and compliant with all terms of probation and isn't considered a flight risk. What options does he have?

I'm asking here because would the court be able to contact the PO and potentially discuss the importance of this?

This is California.
